TX_Angel
What's to say it's not going to broken then as well, without anybody being able to fix it again? Seriously what's the point of having an online computer game when you can't even fix a game breaking bug during the same time most of the player base is home for the holidays trying to play, and exited about the new Movie coming out and want to play a Star Wars game, to see that it's broken, and nobody who runs the server sees it as something worth putting in time to fix. I seriously hope you can hire some people that actually care about the product they're putting out, because it's obvious at this juncture that none of the current staff gives 2 ****s. Thanks everyone. So much this... The Force Awakens opens this Friday, millions of people will go see it, fall back in love with Star Wars, come home and find this game. Only to find it in a currently broken state. They may log in and start playing and see in chat that the events are broken and ask what is up. Really, this is... Well, it shows how far into MX mode the game really has gone, we have this event this week instead of a new event tie in to TFA.
Keta
I'm sorry but this answer is unacceptable especially when you tie unlocking a companion to an event that occurs once a month. How about you change the companion unlock so it doesn't require an event that could go wrong? The sorry there is nothing we can do answer just isn't working for me, especially when you are hindering my progress. Seriously, get it together because this is the wrong answer to the problem. Pretty much.
TX_Angel
So, what you're saying is you don't have enough staff to fix a bug, so we're out the change to get Lokin until next month. Way to go. This game has so much promise and it falls on it's face so often it's sad. Look on the bright side, the cartel packs were out right on time. JadenVaska
Hey thanks for the update eric, can you guys just cancel the event so we can stop hearing the messages on fleet then. just kind of a sour bite to hear it and not be able to participate. if not no big deal. thanks for being the one to tell us! We appreciate your efforts even if some people don't say it!
phalczen
Hey folks, After further investigation, we unfortunately will be unable to address the issues with the Rakghoul Plague before the event expires on Tuesday. We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused. For those who were looking to run the Rakghoul event, it is scheduled to return on January 12th. Thanks everyone. -eric Honestly, the best you can come up with is the boilerplate industry "We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused"? I'm sorry, but I have to agree with the posters above me. As someone who has invested thousands of hours and dollars into this game, I expect better. Maybe I'm wrong or selfish to expect that, but nonetheless that's how I feel. This all just smacks of holiday staffing and people taking off to go see SW:TFA instead of fixing the bug with emergency downtime. I mean, you did an emergency downtime to remove 3rd anniversary decos and reduce the stronghold prices to 4 credits, things that easily could have waited a week, but a gamebreaking bug like this you want to wait for the NEXT BUILD? Considering that this is THE WEEK to capitalize on star wars hype, a boilerplate response just doesn't cut it. Where is a senior producer post providing a mea culpa to the community? Between "Companion-gate," "224-gate", and now "Rakghoul-gate," there is a major deficiency in PR. In a time when your playerbase's sympathy and tolerance will be at its highest, you choose to give them the proverbial rude gesture.. You can do better than this, community/production team. Morgani
I would like to see an auto completion for the people who had Lokin prepped and ready to go for the event. I'm going to have the quest for another month and then hope the event starts to work then. But if I could put in a ticket and CS could see that I was already on Kindly Old Monster when the event was supposed to go live it would go a long way towards my good will for this game. If you won't give me new operations, at least let me work on all my companion achievements.

king_nile
I'm bummed about missing out on the Rak event since I cannot finish this companion quest for Lokin w/o it. However, not as disappointed as i am with that canned answer after a 2-day 'investigation'. Understandably people are getting into holiday mode, and resources could be limited but that response just smells foul BW Austin. We're not addressing the issue until after the event ends = we're not committing any more support until after Xmas. The next Rak event scheduled is Jan 12th = we will not be adjusting the schedule even if we fix the bug. Honestly, I just want to see some power, or some illusion of control, on the devs part to actually address the issue with us, and find some accommodation. I don't want compensation, I want you to provide the game you promised instead of KoTOR 3 built on a buggy MMO game. You can at least change the schedule... please
SCHodge
Eric, I appreciate your updates, and I know these issues aren't your fault. I do ask you'd pass along some dissatisfaction from someone who's played since launch. KotFE was promised with monthly updates as I recall; the first update is taking around 3 months. PvP and Space PvP have gotten no improvements in forever (never mind space PvE); and KotFE completely breaks the narratives of the content you run outside it. The recurring events are also the same and recycled, and a companion is currently locked behind a broken one. What I find most disappointing though, is that KotFE itself is quite good. The problem is it feels like a bunch of content was dropped at once, and there weren't be ongoing updates of note to game, just Cartel Packs. This is what happened post-launch, post-Makeb, etc. I'd like to see the game succeed, but it currently feels like the approach taken is "drop content, see if that increases revenue, if so, do more." That just doesn't work - people need to see a real roadmap of planned improvements, and to all game systems. Without this, you lose people, which destroys guilds, which guts the ability to do endgame content. I hope you view this as the constructive criticism its intended to be. I don't envy your job, but I've always appreciated your candor with the community. Shayne / The Hodcos @ The Harbinger

The displeasure with this game and its playerbase is the stuff of legends in various areas of the internet.
Skaara
Ah, all the signs of a failed and dying game just keep becoming more and more obvious. There is obviously next to zero support for this game anymore and I'm not even convinced we have dedicated devs to this game anymore. No wonder our expansion is nothing more than running old content. So once you've done that, I'd like you to find a mirror, stand infront of it and repeat said message. Have a nice day, Kieran

Thanks everyone. -eric Unattach Lokin from this event, please. I have no confidence that you guys will fix this event by January 12th. Because everyone needs yet another companion they will never use. No one cares about Lokin as a companion, Stoofa (at least most don't). But you can only get one companion alert from an Alliance Specialist at a time. Lokin is gating other companions behind him. This won't truly become a big issue until Feb 11th, which is the silver lining, but a lot of us have Lokin at rank 10 and have just been waiting for this terribad event for months to get him off our radar/to get the quest out of our log. I do not know what is happening but last week is puzzling: rollbacks, server downs, broken event. i just start to think if i should search for another game for christmas to save myself frustration. And just to make sure i dont want you to be sorry for inconvenience i want You to have nice happy holidays and i want to have them too without geting iritated cause of problems that cant be adressed! No possible way to make up for this "inconvenience" that some people were undoubtedly planning to participate in at some length over the Christmas holiday? I imagine deviating off the schedule would even be worse than sticking to it at this point? I mean staying on the schedule just rolls out broken content at this point, so I imagine rescheduling the event sooner or making up for it with something else would just cause even more problems? Zebulon-Prime
You really want BioWare to fix the event right now? Just before they typically take the rest of the year off? LOL You will be luckily they don't screw it up removing the event before they disappear and leave us hanging for weeks again. Wow some people just do not get it. You don't want them touching anything if you plan on playing the game this year at all. It's like letting your incompetent friend *fix* your car before a long trip. We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused. For those who were looking to run the Rakghoul event, it is scheduled to return on January 12th. Thanks everyone. -eric You really are not making it easy for me to convince my longtime, hardcore guildies to keep paying $15 a month after completely altering and breaking the game they thought they were playing. Don't worry about me, for now at least. I'm good until you screw over our love interests before I get to rage quit. Thing is, I keep saying I would have paid the $15 a month regardless of disruptive changes to the game like KotFE to keep raiding with my guild. Except every time I log on, the guild is smaller and smaller despite constant recruiting efforts. I was worried about rage quitting on my guild, but keep it up, and it won't be an issue. When players who've been around since 1.0, who have stable incomes and for whom the $15 isn't a hardship, decide it isn't worth it, just dismissing a part of your much-hyped STORY CONTENT AND YOUR CHOICES MATTER that is important to many people is really disheartening. Kianabamin
Yes! Feel the anger, let it burn inside of you. Feed off of it, let it swell inside you. Use that anger, UNSUBSCRIBE and show them that they have failed you. Why continue to pay for something that they don't care about? Why continue to pay for something that angers you? Why support someone who ignores you or worse yet hears your pain and does nothing to fix it? Turn to the Dark side, use your power to stop them.
