  1. You know, even if they sound like you've heard it all a thousand times before, most of those negative threads do have a specific problem in mind and usually a reason for why it's being posted now, even if that's just the feeling of the poster that the people around him/her are disappearing. I can't remember any negative thread that goes "here's to badmouthing the game, pour in anything bad you can think of". Maybe if these "positive" threads were also made in the light of some event like, I don't know, "let's celebrate Jorgan's return" instead of just "let's say something positive just for the sake of being positive", they wouldn't sound so much like "let's just talk about flying unicorns and marshmallow rainbows and hope that reality won't come knocking at our door". That being said, someone did click on my referral link and subscribed after that, so thanks to whoever it was.
  2. That leaves the question of where is the vendor. If he's on the fleet, this could work to help gear up alts. If he's at the arena, that means those alts still have to get to that point in the KotFE story before they can use those tokens, with ample opportunity to get better gear on the way.
  3. If you want to disagree with my "statement", then please wait for me to actually make one, because I didn't state anything about what other people's gear is, I merely said he should check whether there actually are people with lesser gear, because even if there are, if those are only 5 out of 100, this system won't make much sense. Shadow of Revan consists of 4 solo flashpoints, Rishi, Yavin 4 and Ziost. You can't possibly start that at 60 and not be 65 long before you're finished. So do you really want to tell me that you'd prefer to run around with a lvl 65 with lower than 208 gear for parts of that story, all of the current KotFE story and then do Eternal Championship for one static 208 piece and one static 216 piece every week for like 7 weeks (you do have 14 equipment slots after all) instead of just spending a few data crystals, that are easy to get anyway, do some group content or even buy stuff from the GTN, where you can get relics or implants and such with 208 rating for like 40-60k, and get it over with quickly? Again, those are weekly quests that you get the gear from, do you really want to wait 7 weeks for static crap instead of pursuing other options that are way faster and give you moddable gear?
  4. They are already getting "their heads chopped off" for saying nothing about so many questions that their players have, in some cases for a long time now, what could they possibly loose from trying?
  5. Steven, allow me to give you an advice before making a final decision here. My advice would be to look at 100 random characters that are level 65 and have already started the KotFE content (after all, this is part of KotFE too, right?) and look if even one of them has any gear that is lower than 208, and then ask yourself whether what you put together there still makes any sense. I didn't do any group content since KotFE arrived, and haven't even been playing half of the time, yet still does not only my main have half 216, half 208 and two pieces 220, but all of my other lvl 65 characters had full 208 (except for the relics, because they came in late, but that's been taken care of too now) long before they even got to KotFE.
  6. Well that's easy then, just start a smuggler, the very first one takes the cake.
  7. They had one. Unfortunately they chose to bury it six years ago, not counting the browser game.
  8. Let me just take a wild guess on how Eric will try to sell them to us as something good: "I've heard many people saying how awesome these HK weapons are, but some are also sad, because their classes didn't get a useable weapon. Well you can cheer up, because we've not forgotten about you and since you wanted them so much, we've listened and made these just for you."
  9. I'm inclined to agree mostly. While I might have used that term myself at some point (don't remember actually, but possible), "tanking" isn't the appropriate term for a game that lasted as long as this. It wouldn't be considered a huge success, but not a total failure either. Besides this game will not shut down over night, I'd expect it to run for at least another 6 months after the last content has been released. Of course some people will ask now "why complain that this and this has to change now then, if it won't shut down soon anyway?" That's because the decision to shut it down will also come far in advance and once they've made up their mind, it'll be too late.
  10. ...unless you plan to release the other half in the following month.
  11. That's alright, I'm not a speciesist and I'm sure my ithorian is way worse than your english. That is possible of course, it's just that at least up until the start of KotFE, all companions we had were actually also with us storywise, even Treek and HK-51 "usually" join via a quest. Sure they could for example make us and Lana go seperate ways in the story after KotFE, and still keep her in the roster to summon, it'd just surprise me if they actually did it.
  12. I don't expect much more at this point either. Maybe they do add a second seaon, but I doubt there'll be a third or any other story after KotFE. For one thing, what happens with all the companions afterwards? Most of them joined up to fight Arcann, so do they leave after that's done, even though people spent a lot to get their influence up? And if not, why will they stick around? I mean sure the original companions also stayed for several adventures, but there's a bit of a difference between traveling the galaxy with 5 other people, and doing so with an entire platoon following you around, especially when that consists of people from both factions, and the third faction that made them work together is no longer around. This feels more like the big ending to me.
  13. You're a goldmine pal. Do me the favor of quoting what I wrote that gave you the insight of that hightlighted part, will you? Also just so we're on the same page, what exactly do you think my expectations are, from which you're judging?
  14. This is apparently a mystery to many here even though I've already tried to explain it... whatever, might aswell give it one last shot. I've already made it clear here that at this point, I've stopped caring for the hood toggle a long time ago and that I just used it as an example, so why am I still typing in this thread? It's pretty simple actually. It should also be apparent that after mentioning it the first time, I never complained about it not being in the game, I merely pointed out, repeatedly, that they did indeed promise the feature like I stated. Why? Because by claiming that Bioware never did promise it, these people here are basically accusing me of making that part up, of telling a lie or make a false claim and I'm not going to sit here and take that, especially when the proof for my statement is in plain sight on the very same *********** webpage! It does however have another posetive side effect I didn't think about at first. As you pointed out already, one broken promise isn't really a big deal, especially when like in this case, what was promised isn't even needed anymore. In fact if that was all that Bioware did wrong, I'd personally vote for them as best company to run a MMO, it just isn't, it's just one more thing in a long list. So the people, who go into full denial mode because they can't even admit that Bioware screwed this up, are certainly not the ones you can talk to about how to make the game better, because basically everything you'll say will be offensive to them. So if some of them put me on ignore now, that will save me from having to deal with their ignorance in future threads.
  15. Either you have a very bad day or that should read "certainly". Well if you know so much about me, tell me then, what exactly are my experiences regarding software engineering? And while you're at it, explain to me what degree and how many years in this business I'll need to correctly interpret a statement of two lines that doesn't even contain a technical term.
