  1. To be honest, if the higher ups NEED to be informed of the overall displeasure, then the problems are WAY bigger than we thought. The displeasure with this game and its playerbase is the stuff of legends in various areas of the internet.
  2. This is impossible. All the " I o nly want to do solo content because other people may be mean to me" people swore up and down that this expansion was the golden age of the game, a return to glorious story, and they would flock back in droves to support this wonderful creation.
  3. Because it is old content? Literally the only thing they could do to make old NiM content "relevant" is to offer a NEW reward for it. They recycled it on the premise that they wanted all content to be relevant, there words, not mine. What makes the existing NiMs relevant?
  4. It is even way more than just the fact that everyone was angry regarding pvp and operations long before this. It is, that in every single communication from Bioware, they ask for questions, say they will answer questions. Then, they literally ignore the questions. We get that when KOTFE was announced, it was all about story. We get it, we really do. We are now six months removed from the announcement, KOTFE is here, we all now know what the plan is in regards to KOTFE, we get that starting in Feb, they will have content releases (chapters) monthly. There is precious little else we need to , or that we CAN know in regards to KOTFE, because nobody wants spoilers. It really is time for them to stop ignoring pvpers and raiders. Fine, we may only be about 10% of the playerbase, maybe 15%, but how many successful business models do you know of who can essentially flip the bird to 10-15% of their customers for over a freaking year (in pvps case almost 2 years) and not have it effect the bottom line. As for the sub rewards themselves, it was disappointing because it really should have been new sub perks AND a veterans reward program. The stream literally said to , LITERALLY said to me, "Hey,, I know you are a 3+ year loyal subscriber, just stick with us another 8 months, and we will give you one hour of content." The rewards they offered were GOOD, dont get wrong, but they were not ENOUGH to those who have seriously supported this game through some very bleak times, while all the Johnny-come-latelys now get exactly the same perks as us. It is offensive, to be quite frank.
  5. I was running heroics on Alderaan and Balmorra last night. 2 Heroics in particular stand out. on Alderaan it was Proof of Treason, on Balmorra it was the one where you have to kill 8 snipers (Hit them where they Live?) in a small area where literally on 10 snipers spawn. In both instances, there were about 10 other people in the area doing the same Heroic. At one point, it was myself and 3 others waiting for the probe droid to respawn. Figuring that we did not all need to waste time waiting for 4 respawns, I sent group invites to 3 of the others. Not a single one accepted. So when the probe respaned, all 3 of them clicked on it at once, of course, only 1 would actually "get" the click. On Balmorra, I invited about 5 people to group, because waiting for those snipers to respawn takes forever. Again, not one person accepted (none of these people were in groups, because I got the "declined" message instead of the "xxxxxx is already in a group" message. They all just continued to go about their business killing snipers as they spawned. I see it said ALL the time on here, that the long time "elite" players are terrible people for their attitudes, and that the casuals are "nicer" group of people who play for the "right" reasons. Now this is not meant as an indictment on casuals, but it just to underscore that there are many casuals who are just as flipping arrogant and selfish as the elites that they do so enjoy bashing. I could do nothing except sit there and think of all the posts basing "elites" as I tried, and failed , to save ALL of us some time, because people do not understand that if 4 people are waiting on the same spawn, it only makes sense to group up. Literally no harm can come of it. Now, do not get me wrong, there are plenty of idiots in all walks of gaming life, but just remember, next time you may want to bash an "elite", ask yourself if you, really, are any better.
  6. But others' lack understanding how to play their characters should be catered to. Got it.
  7. Its not about "beating" the game. The phrase is not, in any way, literal. The game is an MMO. MMO's have things that you can do solo. A great many things, in fact. It also has things that you should be grouped to do. This is not intended to be a solo player only game. Nor is it intended to be a group player only game. It really does look like, reading this forum, that there are a large number of people who seriously wanted to be able to go out to dinner while their companions cleared content. There are GOOD ways, and BAD ways to play a character (in regards to the when and what abilities you use), my response question was, why are so many people resistant to learning how to play their class? Heroics while leveling have ZERO to do with story. They were put in the game to introduce people to group content. You do not need them to see the beautiful story. They, in fact, add ZERO to the story.
  8. Dont use planet drops. You get easily enough glowing crystals to keep leveling your gear to the appropriate blue level for the planet. Also, unless I am mistaken, the planetary heroics , while leveling are STILL intended to be heroic 2+, meaning that soloing them is supposed to have a certain degree of difficulty.
  9. This post is hilarious. Not because it is inaccurate, but because you correctly identified metrics. When they made no new raid content, the very same people here who were defending metrics when the decision was made to focus on story are now complaining about their metrics that told Bioware that everything was faceroll easy and needed to change.
  10. I would counter that with a question to everyone who loved the faceroll easiness. Why would you not just learn your class, and use the tools that are at your disposal? I had literally zero trouble with heroics yesterday. Yes, I am a "raider" who is in some of the very best gear in the game, but as faceroll easy as KP and EV HMs are, the best in game gear is pretty radily available to ANYONE who wants it. I am completely befuddled by everyone who is complaining. Were there really that many people who think they shouldnt have to try to win at a game? Its a serious question. Has gaming changed to much, that people now WANT to be herded to the next encounter like cattle?
  11. Literally maybe 2 or 3 people. And they get merged into a "collective WE" are you freaking joking me?
  12. It is not prosecuted as a "right" or a "demand". It is simply, in almost all cases, holding the community team to their word. The players did not utter "more information as we get closer to gamescon." The players did not promise "more transparency".... the players did not say "you wanted more info, well today, the flood gates have opened"... followed by a solid week of silence. "Chat bubbles are slated for 1.3".... "Ranked PvP is set to begin in 1. (I forget which one this was.) "We will be doing times run contests of Ravagers, with great prizes to the best guilds." Followed by "Our new ops suck so bad, we cannot do this, sorry guys." "We are decreasing the rate at which the slot machine drops crafting materials." Followed by gutting every single drop rate, which in turn led to the scrapping of the planned line of slot decos. "The PvP team is as busy as ever" (although this was probably true, because they went from doing nothing to continuing to do nothing. "We are working on a pretty cool plan to reduce queue times, and you will be seeing more about that soon." It is not based on "need" or a "right" or a "demand." Bioware set the tone and the expectation of delivery of information. In some cases, very specifically "in the weeks leading up to Gamescon". Players want what they were told they would get. Nobody held a gun to their heads and asked them to make those promises of information. Now the players are "demanding it as if it is their right"... that is utter nonsense, and deep down inside, you know it is.
  13. Do we all forget that when this game launched, it had 0 end game content. End game content came slowly, and EIGHT, count them, EIGHT STORIES.... all the way from level 1 to 50, could not keep people subbed. They left in droves because there was not enough to do. We keep hearing the tag that "story is great" "story is what Bioware does best".... when they released this game, with no end game content, based solely around story, did it prosper then? No. Why does everyone think it will prosper now under that exact same model, minus the replayability of the 8 stories.
  14. While you are more right than most people will realize, this is less about the actual content itself, and more about the reckless way in which Bioware employees make their statements and then immediately begin to ignore their own words. Then continue to ignore the bad feelings that they generate in the community.
  15. A) I really do not expect my effort to be successful, but if you want to troll me, use something better than the FOTM buzz word entitlement. There is 0 entitlement in this endeavor. This is about what Bioware officially said vs what Bioware is officially doing. Nothing more. As a customer, if McDonalds tells me I will get a free cheeseburger if I buy a Big Mac, then I buy a Big Mac, and they give me a hamburger, it is not entitlement to want to know where my cheese is. We were told that Bioware agreed that more than a year between ops release was unacceptable (even to them), and now, here we are again. Same situation, same boat. During the early release crapfest that WAS 3.0, many of us went back to our guilds and said "Well, the committed to not going over a year between ops releases again, so lets take them at their word and stick it out." Well, we stuck it out, we took them at their word, and once again, their word was about on par with what their word has always been on par with. For me to want to know why, is not entitlement. It does not even have to be me that they give their why to. I just cannot sit silently by while the slot machine fiasco is repeated (they post the info, read the mostly negative responses, clam up, get silent and ignore it and wait until it goes away.) The sad reality is , that is probably exactly what will happen again, but this time it may be at a much larger cost to the community. So if you are completely happy with their announcement, then so be it, I am happy for you that you are getting something that you are excited about or that you can accept. I have sat through broken promise after broken promise, and I am , quite frankly, exhausted by it. Entitlement, pfft.
  16. So, the more I thought about the blog concerning FPs and Operations, the more upset (not angry) that I became. All I want is for us to know why. For us to have a time frame on how long we must endure this recycle of old content that many of us have killed ad-nauseum. All I want is for Bioware to send someone to talk to us, in a controlled environment (maybe Skype, maybe a closed Twitch stream, IRC, etc.) where it will be a couple folks from Bioware and a few representatives of the community to explain to us why this decision was made, what WE have to look forward to (because quite clearly, replaying EV is not exciting many of us.) To this end, and almost certainly in a futile effort, because most people would rather just go on about their lives after posting their displeasure, I have created this petition.... not for Bioware to change their plans, but for Bioware to do more than sit back and ignore the blog thread, and to actually sit down and talk to us. I fully expect my fair share of trolls, but sometimes, when you feel like you have no recourse, and you feel like nobody at Bioware wants to listen to the players, you have to try SOMETHING. So, this is my SOMETHING. I ask any and all who would like to just see a few people (not even me per se) have some sort of a private(or public) conference with Bioware Reps to ask questions and get information, please sign this petition with your main toon name and your server. http://www.ipetitions.com/petition/talk-to-us-bioware edit: for the sake of integrity, please do not sign multiple times with your entire legacy.
  17. For me, the worst part is that after the "one year is unacceptable" comment from the dev team, this announcement, at the very least deserves community team involvement and interaction, with at least some token explanation of why they decided for the 4579837683798 time in SWTOR history to completely ignore something that they, themselves, said. However, in typical Bioware fashion, this thread will not involve any discussion, or community team- player interaction at all. They will ignore it, like the slot machine, and hope it eventually goes away. After all, when you have a trail of broken promises (chat bubbles, anyone?) what is one more to throw on the burner? Also: lol @ Bioware story telling. In KOTFE, you wake up after many many years of being frozen in carbonite, to find the galaxy faces a new threat"... but 1st, let me head back to Belsavis to kill SoA who was relevant to the story many many years in the past, but the new threat that has nearly destroyed the republic and empire, conveniently ignored the Hutts and the Dread Masters, because reasons. Just what a focus on "story" needs.... current level content that is many many years out of time and in the past.
  18. Lets get a few things straight. 1) I demanded nothing. Demand implies that there will be some sort of counteraction if the demand is not met. Seriously people, stop being dramatic, learn some words, and get a grip. 2) An admission that 3.0's state of release was unacceptable, was probably not realistic, but would have been a confidence booster for someone wondering if they learned anything from their own mistakes. 3) I did not ask for an apology for anything. Not sure why the word apology keeps popping up. I asked that they recognize that the condition of the software that was 3.0 was unacceptable. I drew this from a standard they set for themselves when they said they agreed with players that going more than a year with no new operations was unacceptable to them as well. I dont want them to be sorry for it. Its over and done with, I want hope that it will not happen again. 4) I do not think I have the "right" to anything. I have a "hope" that we wont have a repeat of 1.4, 2.5(was this the 1st 16 man GF attempt?) or 3.0. This game has proven on more than one occasion, that their testing practices lack sufficient scope, I simply want to know if anything has changed with the increase in team size. 5) Because certain people had a "blast" with SoR, does not mean it was released in a healthy state. Server populations, guild deaths (and I mean LONG standing social, non-progression based guilds) serve as testament to the fact that 3.0 did far more damage than good. Now that there is excitement over this expansion, and some of the guilds that were on life support are waking up from their comas, it is not unreasonable to ask the question "will this release be in a better condition." 6) Reiterating, everyone saying "apology" is completely clueless. Troll away little ones.
  19. Lots of people want more meat and potatoes information on the upcoming expansion. Me, personally, I am confident that will come in due time. I want only one thing. Please someone on the dev team come before the community. Acknowledge that the state in which 3.0 was released is unacceptable. Assure us that you have done a review of 3.0 testing and implemented new testing guidelines and failsafes to ensure this is not released in the same manner. I do not need to tell you (the Devs) or anyone else in the community the negative impact that the state of 3.0 had on server population, player retention, guild health and overall health of the game. I want only to know that you , as a team , are committed to getting it right this time. I am not sure that this game could survive another 3.0 state expansion release.
  20. Still no ETA On a fix for this? I now have 4 full cargo hold tabs of various pieces of this set.
  21. Let me 1st start by saying I am not angry. I get the gambling nature of Cartel packs. The very gambling nature is why I buy them, the excitement of opening the packs to see what it will reveal. I buy packs by the hypercrate, but I buy them off the GTM(you might call me a whale feeder). To date I bought 11 Deep Core Explorer Hypercrates off the GTM. There has got to be a better way that the current rare, super rare rarities to more accurately describe the realistic rarity of an item. I thought there were packs previously where you used Ultra Rare for certain items. Seriously, some items need to be marked as ultra rare in every pack. Minas iris and the Monocycle are listed as the same rarity. While i full on understand RNG, let me clarify that in 11 hypercrates I got 1 monocycle and 17 Mina Irises. These items, no matter what you say, do NOT have the same rarity. In those same 11 hypercrates, I got 37 Rugged Infantry chest pieces. I got 0 Dark Legionnaire Chest pices, yet they are the same "rarity." In fact, in those same 11 hypercrates, i got 6 different Green Empeth (LISTED as ultra rare), and only 1 mono-cycle, 0 Dark Legionnaire chests, 2 Twilight Vrakes. It seems as though its more than the RNG simply not liking me. It seems, to be completely honest, that the mono-cycle is probably dropping at the ultra-rare pace (or maybe even worse) than the green empeth crystals. And the Rugged Infantry is ridiculously more common than the Dark legionnaire. Again, I am not angry at what I did or did not get. But I would like clarification on the rarities, and going forward, to get more accurate rarities for items.
  22. Just posting to confirm that indeed the Underworld Instigator pieces do not show up in searches on the GTM, I have 2 chest pices listed right now, and searching them by direct link, or by just the 1st 3 letters of each word in the name turns up nothing.
  23. should have held a galactic lottery with those credits!
  24. I am getting the same error. Can the devs check on this link please?
  25. My God so much anger over this. Its not actually a big deal. Its another week. If it had been released today, you would see the posts would be saying "wow, the rise of the emperor was too short, now we have nothing else to look forward to till 3.3" Some of you people can only be made happy by being given something to complain about. The jury is 100% out on this little exercise. If what goes down on May 4th is epic, or even well delivered it will be a rousing success, if its Blah on May 4th, big deal, we have what we had with every other content patch. Lighten up and give it a chance for Gods sake.
