  1. Thanks for the guide, DCS. I also mean no offense to the makers of the other thread, but I found this one more helpful. I never expected I'd enjoy being a Sorcerer over the past few years, so I never bothered to try it. But with the double XP thing going on, I figured I might as well. I am having more fun on this Lightning spec Sorc than any of my other characters right now. It may not be as singularly powerful as my PT, but for me it's more fun and that's what counts. And I'm reading your guide closely, so thanks!
  2. Hottie, I blame you for convincing me to make my Operative a healer, rather than shelf her. It seems I like punishment, and playing the classes that must work harder to be as good as their counterparts. Great guide, thanks.
  3. Unattach Lokin from this event, please. I have no confidence that you guys will fix this event by January 12th. No one cares about Lokin as a companion, Stoofa (at least most don't). But you can only get one companion alert from an Alliance Specialist at a time. Lokin is gating other companions behind him. This won't truly become a big issue until Feb 11th, which is the silver lining, but a lot of us have Lokin at rank 10 and have just been waiting for this terribad event for months to get him off our radar/to get the quest out of our log.
  4. This isn't going to be fixed until after the event is over. Guess we'll have to wait til the next time this stupid event comes around before we can get Lokin. So glad I wrote a reminder to myself for this event, lol
  5. Yeah, for those of us who had the quest auto-complete, the NPCs on Tattooine like Doctor Ressel, treat us as if we've completed the event as well. "So I hear you made it into infestation central?" - Ressel So the game legitimately believes we've all finished the event, and will not be able to get Lokin this time around unless they strike those quest completions from our character history. Huge disappointment. I don't even like the guy, but I want him off my radar/alerts, and he will lock other companions behind him. Terrible idea to lock Lokin behind an event, but absolute brutality when that event breaks.
  6. I'm hoping the same. Some people are crying that rank 20 is too hard...honestly, I'd be shocked if that was all. Come on, it took a couple weeks to hit rank 20. Now we just sit around til the Spring twiddling our thumbs? I'd rather continue trading in for Radiants every 2nd rank til 50, tbh. I like the changes the base goes through every now and then. It feels cheap and easy if rank 20 is the end...
  7. Maybe I'm mis-remembering, but when I look at the Alliance Specialists now, it says: Rank 20/20. I could have sworn it was 20/50 before 4.03. Anyone else?
  8. With the new changes, I'm thinking my Immortal might be the way to go in WZs...might push my PT out for a bit. My Leth OP will just be for Heroics, lol
  9. No argument there. That's a whole other can of worms. At this point, I'll just try to pretend the fight took an extra two hours and we were both at 1HP when I deal the final blow.
  10. If playing their game doesn't make you happy enough to pay them for it, then paltry "rewards" of any kind shouldn't make a difference. Posts and threads like these are just immature whining under the disguise of constructive criticism. Temper tantrums from folks who think of themselves as intelligent. Diatribes and ridiculously long and dramatic rants about how a company doesn't care about them, and why they should be rewarded for the fact that they apparently thought the game was good enough to keep paying for is not criticism. It's a place to throw yourselves a pity party...and there are just enough other mindless goofs around here to agree with you that it bolsters your confidence-- whereas in the real world, you'd realize how incredibly foolish you sound and keep your mouths shut. This is entertainment, and it doesn't belong to you. It is their game that you pay for because you have weighed the pros and cons of whether to pay or not to pay and chose to pay. If that is no longer beneficial for you, then stop paying. If the sub numbers drastically fall, then Bioware will understand that the "cons" are too heavy, and need to increase the "pros" to see those numbers rise again. Threads like this do not even count as a blip on their radar. Imagine if you will, a sports team/league that is providing you with entertainment. You choose to either pay to go to a game, or see it for relatively free at home. Let's say you've decided to be a season ticket holder because you believe the perks of seeing the games in person are too good to pass up. After the season's over and your team wasn't playing very well, you start to feel jaded about that money you spent. So you march up to the office of the people who own your area's team and complain that since you've been paying them to be entertained that you deserve more rewards from them. As soon as people get it out of their heads that this game belongs to them, and that they are somehow entitled to special treatment, they'll understand a lot more about this business. If you don't think the game is worth your dollar, save your dollar. If you do still want to spend your dollar, then you think the game is worth it, and stop being so damned entitled. (FYI: I played at launch with a sub. A few months in, I decided it wasn't worth my dollar and quit. KOTFE brought me back, and I'm paying for it because I believe it is. That is how adults respond to entertainment.)
  11. Sorry, story-wise, it makes no sense at all for rank 20 to be their actual max. Once you're 20, they all talk about how good things are going, and how they're finally making progress. However, it's still quite obvious you're nowhere near ready to actually take on the Eternal Empire. I'd be absolutely shocked if they didn't go up to rank 50 by the time you waltz into Arcann's throne room to bust his face.
  12. I have to completely disagree with the premise of this thread, and I find this to be the expansion that made this game extremely playable once again. Sorry to those who need to be completionists on every character they've ever made. Perhaps this is Bioware's way of saying "we aren't going to sacrifice storyline to make sure everyone is happy all the time", nor should they. They wrote a good story, and knew not everyone would be pleased about how it works. Good for them. My Jugg is the Commander, he's got rank 20 in all four specialists, took me 2 WHOLE weeks. My Operative is his top spy, funneled supply crates through to him (they're bind on legacy for a reason, people). Now that he's done for a while, she can get hers up a few ranks as well for the CC/Radiants. Not a big deal. KOTFE is the first expansion in this game, nay-- the first content update in this game, since launch that has kept my interest for more than a week. I played from launch, and the game ended the moment your story did. Aside from playing endless matches of Huttball, of course. KOTFE is great for the longevity of this game, grind out some heroics...they're *********** easy.
