I expected going to CE VENDOR every 10 levels to buy new gear with different textures than the original piece of gear. Well guess what happened? We got a so called "unique" Imperial Trooper set. Mithraw Posted April 20, 2012 Share Posted April 20, 2012 I got the CE edition as a vote of confidence in Bioware and the game with the hopes they'd reward that confidence with some exclusive items but until now I am very disappointed. As a heavy armor user the (great looking) imperial trooper armor is not of use and the rest are just slight variations of items available to anybody. Then I was informed that the CE store would be filled with a VARIETY of different items social AND gear AT LAUNCH, but that clearly didn't happen. Need proof? I can get it to you, but nonetheless I was expecting something THAT WAS advertised. Don't tell us otherwise. No one goes up there, so I don't see a problem with you hanging out all by yourself. Vendor was infect a Gizka Pet. help spread the word. Lets have 1.3 give some adoration to the C.E, and more things to make it more enjoyable so we can put or money where our mouth is. not our ***. The ill- concealed nerdling delight at "early access" and the imagined "special status" of being a CE owner. Very soon after, the obvious and completely predictable truth was finally dawning upon a few as they saw only very few players in the lounge. Nothing the vendor has ever offered is remarkable...there was and is nothing that stands out about a so-called CE owner. Fast forward to today - a derelict and completely abandoned CE lounge. Why would anyone hang out there? Guilds can't meet there because only precious few have the CE version and the vendor has nothing of interest. The hungrily anticipated VIP status is a flop and now a poorly assembled small plastic $90 statue stands as a lonely reminder that marketing indeed is a legalized form of public dishonesty. I don't even give a damn about the CE vendor at it was never the reason why I bought the CE. if people did that, they obviously never bought a CE before. their bad, but that doesn't mean that everyone who got the CE did it to 'show off' in-game. If I'm buying a product, I make sure I get what I was promised. If I ordered a Pineapple Pizza and got a Cheese only, I'd head back and make sure I got what I paid for, especially when the price difference is almost 20% of the pizza. Completely off topic, but yeah.. He's not the only one that would be seeking to rectify that problem. #EDIT: That problem being the pizza analogy. I was led to believe we would have tons of different items to choose from and show off to our friends/guild, etc. Now, all we have is a few pieces of gear and some social items in the shop right now, and when the time comes to add new things in slowly as explained, people will JUMP ALL OVER those items and THEY WONT BE EXCLUSIVE! Who is going to care any when half the server is wearing those gear pieces because only one thing was added to the store in a certain month. Nobody will! Now, I can't guarantee that people would care if there was 200 different items in the store at launch, but I can say that it would of been exclusive and a large majority of the server wouldn't have just one certain item. To be honest now, I'm probably not even going to buy anything from the CE store because everyone will have the item that they added for any given time. kthxbye Much assume did you.. guarantees they gave not...... I paid the cost of the CE with certain expectations that were based on the information available to me, including the SW:TOR website, comments made by the game's developers, and past experiences with CEs from BioWare and EA. The resulting product did not live up to those expectations and I am letting BioWare/EA know of my displeasure. Further, this topic serves as a warning to others who might consider a CE purchase. Thank you. - George a) it was never advertised it would have 'lots of unique items' all at the same time. b) of course the gear is unique. you just don't like it. c) yes, the items at the CE vendor are similar to in-game stuff. so what? am I really the only one who plays games for the achievements and not to show off that I spent a ridiculous amount of money on a video game?
