  1. Nah I just failed to see a reasonable solution to the QQ. You know, someone says " I want this changed" but doesnt submit an idea, so even if it gets changed they are still crying.
  2. If you didnt think Mara/Sent were OP, you wouldnt be mentioning them as this isnt an AC ability its the class ability, JK and SW have it, Not Mara and Sent.
  3. So you want both teams to lose then? I would suggest that would be the only reasonable outcome, if you made it the first team attacking wins then what would happen is this: Random win would be the result still as its random who's attacking first.

Actually, When the tokens for the gear are based on certain things like dealing a 5k hit, doing a set number of damage and you get in and your in full recruit gear going against War hero and half your team leaves so you have no nodes for the protect objectives, what tends to happen is that you get 1-2 medals at most, so then every war zone gives bugger all comms for the new gear. Thus making it take forever. On the old server People quit, 1 point regardless of warzone, half were gone. cycle continues with the new server and then you get against premades its even worse. Sure Joining a premade might help, But some people dont like premades like myself as what tends to happen is most avoid the other premades so then you get a group that removes you because you want challenge. And those that dont get randomly put against pugs a lot it seems and then its just face roll because they are full of quitters. But anyway. The point is, that the gear grind is alot longer then most peoples patience due to the fact that some medals are ruined by the fact that the pvp stat reduces the chances of getting them.
  6. I afk for a smoke and say "sing out on vent when your up to the boss" Theres usually no drops in operations, and not much looting that people are missing out on if i am afk.
  7. my server used to have a heap of pvp. People rarely left, then when ilum became the bm farm grounds it turned into people leaving. Now that they farmed bm with the reps my server is basically imp side leaving constantly and rep premades. my fresh 50 sniper that i finally leveled does 80k damage gets 1-3 medals against this premade and thats usually top for imps in them because everyone leaves or just sits and whines about the opposing team. Can't play a pug anymore due to the pugs just afking or leaving. every games just basically dead. Getting gear is terrible for fresh players because once they spend what they earned prior to 50 is gone they get 1 medals worth on average per game. Its just sad now. The 10-49 queues also seemed to have died. The event was busy but since then its quiet.

  9. well theres no way to measure skill with parsers. I mean you can get a rough idea but theres many random events that cause random factors into the fights. At the end of the day theres always going to be one class on the bottom. In this case Merc/commando is not at the bottom its 2nd last. Its numbers arent that far off. Theres no gear listed/specified which also needs to be factored in. I don't believe that this small amount of data is justification for a buff. I mean when I look at this data supplied in the OP i think operative/scoundrel needs a buff because they actually finish last on the 2nd fight and have no survivability.

  14. Yeah its not that great. The main reason why I never take it is due to the cost of series of shots and that they are not free from this ability. If they changed it to no energy cost as well as no cool down I would take it. I would probably also use series of shots more if it actually did the damage of ravage though I can see why it doesn't.
  15. I'm sorry you guys can't read. My bad. What I was saying was in pve the classes dps output is fine. Thats the jist of it. His argument was tm and hsm got nerfed, when it got a bug fix, lost a little due to another bug but got an increase of base damage and that tm was reduced ruined his classes out put but its incorrect. It translates to pvp yes. But not just "hey does good dps is fine" way.
  16. Your forums seem to be on agreeance though that your hsm is still better off as is atm. If your dps is so bad but, Do what Snipers did, Parse it and prove it. The latest patch was the fix because the snipers parsed and worked it out rather then make continual threads about how "they got nerfed so bad with bug fixes that they cant do anything now" Also, when I say pure dps advanced class I mean all 3 trees are for one role, dps. Merc has this tree right thats built for healing.

I had a browse of your merc forums, so you want to compare to mara, your forums are like ours pre 1.2 a bunch of people saying the class sucks and a few who know what they are doing saying its fine. In the mara forums, people are parsing on dummies and discussing it with people so you can get a feel of what specs doing what damage and work out for it. But in the merc forum, not really any parsing. In fact the one fight in pve which is kind of like pvp due to switching targets a heap kephess that was parsed on your forums was a commando(your mirror class) topping the meters.
  18. And this is the problem, your comparing yourself to a class that is not in anyway shape or form something you should be comparing to in terms of dps output and defensive cool downs. Mara you have to talent for the root on ravage and has a cool down. Fixing a bug != a nerf. If you think a bug fix is a nerf then thats the problem. Anything I say will just be useless because you don't understand how MMO's work. And if you have been so nerfed into oblivion, yet single target stand still your still within 5% of the other classes, you dont think that it was imbalanced prior then?
  19. Snipe is in cover only unless you talent for 1 outside of cover...so hey guess what, Snipers are not mobile either, you dont need to set up cover either. Ravage also makes mara/sent immobile for the activation time, and I dont know if you noticed but its easier to run away from someone with a 4 meter range that is immobile compared to someone with a 30 meter range. Heat seeker missle is what your saying for HSM right? I mean I'm confused The patch notes I found say Heatseeker Missiles' damage output has been increased by approximately 10%, I dont see how increasing it by 10% is a nerf. I also wasn't saying you cant do damage, I was saying these "Nerfs" are more to bring in balance with what others get. As in, snipers have their main attack and its considerably lower then Tracer missle. understand? you got one class with all these bonuses being based off one attack that has 10% base chance to hit with the same activation time as another class who has to deal with dodge deflects etc doing less damage with less resource regen.
  20. The point wasn't to be some "pillar of knowledge" it was more to provide that "you can counter such and such by using your skills correctly. If you played a sniper you would probably understand that yes they counter melee but you would also know the problems with the cover system and how it can hamper you more then help you. At the end of the day Everything that Mara/sent has, the other classes have something that can deal with it, and counter it. Most people when they get charged by a mara sent will knock back first, stun second. Rather then actually do anything useful and then when it comes time for a mara to pop one of these "uber" cooldowns all the opponents stuffs on cooldown. I save cover pulse for ravage for example. Why? because it gets them away from me and reduces the damage I take. I use leg shot for when I have to change cover positions and I have a sent/mara on me. Why? because it snares them and prevents them from closing the gap. How can a sorc do this? well they have a knock back, they have the ability to make it snare....so knock them back sprint away...not hard to do....If your having problems going 1v1 your counter class, use your brain rather then mash keyboard and prey for results. Don't fight them 1v1 sprint to your group, work with your team.
  21. which one? the toning down of Tracer missle? That would be probably because they compared it to snipe..similar cast times but crit harder and has the increased chance to hit being a tech attack. coupled with an armor debuff, the buff for your other skill assoicated with it via heat signatures and the crazy procs and the heat reduction on crits making your resource bar pretty much negliable. I only have a mid range bounty hunter and only played tracer missle spam spec and once I got a few talents I could spam it like crazy and not worry about heat management. That and its RANGED. But I guess you want comparisions to mara/sent in which case your main attack in your rotation was doing 2.4-3.3k crits compared to main of attack of a mara/sent doing about 1700 crit with melee range and no armor debuff along with a reduce bonus due to being phyiscal. Tracer missle and heat seeker missles have the added bonus of getting based off tech attacks meaning that your weapons that provide + like 613 tech power bonus get factored in compared to snipers who are phyiscal so that tech bonus doesnt apply. Same with mara. The other spec your healing tree(you know because your trees have 2 roles as opposed to mara's one) is still quite capable of healing real well, just your resource is more in line with operative/smuggler healing trees same with sorcs. The nerf as I understand it was more to balance the 3 healers in line with each other. All 3 seem to be capable healers but operatives/scoundrel healers seemed to run out of resource alot quicker then the other 2 prior to 1.2. Also you had more defence compared to a scoundrel/operative same with sorcs with knock backs, stuns. You have your shield which also lets you ignore interrupts for a bit. Operatives/scoundrels had vanish as a defensive cool down which neuters the healing. Ops/scoundrels have a shield which absorbs maybe half an attack it seems.
  22. Well I kinda do. Somethings ill throw in a few emotes like /wave /dance and ill type thanks as they are running out of hitpoints for the assassin medal if warrented.
