  1. I know you wanted everyone to read your blinding Wall of Text, but I simply couldn't force myself to read another subjective, biased opinion that said, basically, nothing interesting. If you don't like the game, quit. The doors over there.
  2. Unrealistic expectations: they wanted WoW as it is now after 7 years of development after release + time before release, didn't get WoW and are unhappy.
  3. According to the forums, they cannot save face no matter what they do. They could fix every bug in the game tomorrow, and the vocal complainers will then claim "It's too late!!!11!1!1!!1!!1" and post a link to an article that uses another article based on the title that is citing another source that doesn't even have anything related to what was mentioned in the "article" being linked to in the forum post.
  4. Actually, it's an unnecessary ad hom attack intended to discredit the poster while ignoring what was actually posted.
  5. If the cited source doesn't mention anything about lay-offs, isn't it misleading to title an article using the word "lay-off"? Isn't it then little more than rumor-mongering to repeat the claim there were lay-offs when there was no source used that even mentioned lay-offs?
  6. The game has been out for....5 months...and they released new content in 1.2... The problem isn't the rate they are releasing new content, the problem is your unrealistic expecation of tons of new content every couple of weeks/every month.
  7. If your account is active when they offer the transfers you can transfer your characters if they meet any other pre-requisites. If your account is inactive when they offer the transfers you will have to resub to transfer your characters provided they meet the pre-requisites.
  8. I doubt that, and figure it's more likely the mods just haven't gotten around to locking this one yet and/or are tired of constantly having to ensure the forumers are behaving and not rioting in an unruly manner.
  9. They didn't, you're just selectively forgetting.
  10. In a server merge, all conflicting names should be given name changes. Why should one player be forced to change their name when the other doesn't? They aren't voluntarily transferring a character, and you would be as much an "invading player" to them as they are to you. Why should you be given special consideration when you don't think they should be given any? Pre-ordering as early as possible gives you no special consideration nor privileges in this game, nor should it. As for the OP, names matter if only so you know who you are talking to without having people running around impersonating other people. It has been an issue from time to time and a concern of players in previous games where players have intentionally tried to ruin other players' and guilds' reputations.
  11. That is due to a misunderstanding of how the development team is structured, not a belief they are interchangeable. It's irrelevant, actually, because the word is supposed to be taken in context not out of context meaning there's no need to bring this up, at all. Oh, and programmers ARE developers, so there's no need to title the thread "Developers vs Programmers".
  12. No, orange moddable gear stats are determined only by the mods and armor/weapon type.
  13. I don't care what WoW is now. Your point?
  14. And replace it with what? If you want something to be removed, you need to have some idea of what to replace it with and post that in the same post.
  15. I wonder how many would complain if they made the speeders faster, but removed the shielding....
