I don't believe you can make a legitimate argument against BW polling. I understand the 300 doesn't speak for 300k but don't just close the book on it there, do some work that will benefit both sides. Use polls. Put those polls right on the log-in screen that way even the non-forum users can see them. If they choose to ignore them then they forfeit their say in the game, but the company will get feedback that they desperately need from the relevant majority.

ridiculous assumptions about PvP low on votes, I play mostly PvP but I like many others think the content is fine now and the game needs other additions like sandbox stuff and a space sim, maybe housing. And add a day night cycle for Yoda's sake, it's the bare minimum an MMO needs.

didn't vote PvP but it is the best part of the game.

And class story is not sustainable. Stuff from SWG is sustainable, it was running almost 10 years before SWTOR killed its right to exist

pvp content - lots more warzones, prefer no more arenas,

space beyond whats being released - bigger pvp battles

minigames for fun - pod raceing wud be amazing

new race - would like to see where they went with a new class,

crafting - crafting needs massive alterations

on another note kinda looking forward to more guild orintated content also.

but for me PVP will always be my main choice and im not shocked by the percentage of pvpers.

My votes PRO:

Class story - excellent for moving character up 5 more level, keeping peeps in the subscriber status and generally reviving the game.

Operations - keeps guilds alive as well as good premade pugs. Keeps people around and offers best PvE experience post-class story.

PvP content - fun and practice; in PVP you can train your keybinds and rotations to the max, giving you the value needed to be invited more in operations

Planets - BUT BE CREATIVE! Please don't copy planets - Broken planet was Taris. And then you add Makeb. No. NO. Oricon, planet of fire - great. Suggestions? Well, KASSSYK, MANAAN. Dantooine - debatable.

Mini games - great way to turn a buck or two - you wanna make some casinos in your game for credit flush out and keeping peeps lower. Since now you can easily find a person with 10m creds.

What CONTRA?

Companions - what for? New crafting missions? Ok, but the HK was a good pointer - picking up new companion is, well... nothing. In any case, in the end game, companions are just npc standing on your ship that you occasionally send in crafting missions. So this is not something that will contribute to the whole game - and tune up subscriptions.

Space content - your new PvP will devour the standard Space content anyway. Why waste time and resources on that?

Crew Skills and Crafting - I am very well aware that you need new Wookhesse SuperDurasteel Fur Coat (faux fur used, no Wookie was hurt during the making of the coat) but ask yourself a simple question - REALLY, WHY?

Character Customization - right now, I can do with my character whatever I want, short of putting ***** on his forehead. Do I really need new haircut styled "White trash trailer Parisiene?"

Legacy - it functions on principle "You get specific level - you unlock something". So you will have to develop this anyway when developing storymode and planets.

Playable races - that's the job of designers in storymode. So you will just add them - but they do not add to the game in any way. Its cute but not important.

New classes - like what? Sith Broker? Inquisitor Bankar? Jedi Nurse?

IMHO, think that only storymode, planets, operations, PVP and minigames are worth of dedication resources and time to get subscriber base upped and f2p>subscription.

You're blaming class story for the death of SWG, because if SWTOR didn't have class story, there would have been no reason to make a new Star Wars game, and if SWTOR gets rid of story content, it can become SWG?

I'm not sure that SWTOR would care to run with under 50,000 subscribers like SWG did. That's not sustainable, that's a dying game that nobody will take out back and put down for it's own good.

ppl gotta stop voting on class content it's a waste of money.:(

The amount of time spent playing new class missions is tiny compared to the time required to develop them.

Adding new planets will just spread out the population and make it less social. I have enough trouble finding pubs to gank as it is :rak_03:

Who says they need to add new planets to make new class stories?

The current planets are entire, freaking, planets. They can just add new areas to them.

Mostly because I like Dromund Kaas and want to have a picnic in the incredibly deadly jungle of dead Sith and monsters.

.

I would hang out on Tython just to hear players of newly created characters go... "Oh when did they add this path next to the temple? Is something cool here... 11112222222.... " followed by them complaining about being eaten by a level 60 monster.

They'll just have to put them behind a level restricted speeder or something.

Otherwise clueless noobs are constantly going to wander into level 55 enemies or the like. :p

I was attempting to address two different issues. My opinion is that there are plenty of planets and areas on those planets as well. I think the that doing less is more at this point, the game needs sustainability.

  • Cross planet quests could work, (as long as the priority transport is available for em lol.) And they would only have to add new npcs or whatnot on existing maps. I think the bounty brokers thing was a great addition to the game.

  • The idea about letting smugglers and bounty hunters go cross fleet is a great example of that, it encourages people to get involved in some non-scripted game play.

  • An in game-dueling ranking system would be awesome.

  • I don't think pvp needs more maps, it needs Xserver pops. (but 4v4 objetives such as huttball, capture the flag, or VIP on a smaller map might be cool)

I acknowledge my bias. :p

Great to have this poll, I prefer numbers over a contest of who can shout the loudest for what they think is best for the game.

I am glad to see class stories are doing so well. For me it's always been the best selling point of this game and what makes it different from other MMOs. Rolling alts has never been so fun as it is in this game. I think the developers originally intended for people to want to see all the class and spend some time on that in stead of endlessly grinding the endgame. At the very least it seems now that this wasn't such a crazy idea after all. Though I have my doubts it will happen, I hope that resources will ben spent again on new chapters in the story.

Apart from voting for class stories I also selected planets and mini-games. With only Makeb and some daily areas (only Oricon was somewhat ok as an area, IMO), we have seen very little new landmass added to the game, compared to some other MMOs. Mini-games were very nice additions to the original KOTOR games and could do so well in a multiplayer environment. Do something with these Nar Shaddaa casinos, please! :)

http://www.thenoisecast.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/04/SWG-Subscription-Numbers.jpg

sure make up some more numbers, also compare popularity of MMOs 2003 with 2013, sweet

SWG went down when it was made "more WoW" with less sandbox

and what did developers learn? make another Star Wars WoW attempt  smart

As you can see before the combat upgrade SWG had the same number of subs like SWTOR has now, somewhere around 300K
