  1. SWTOR will never be a sandbox, it's not how the game is designed (story driven). They can however add features that give people a wider choice in variation, or extend existing features (like legacy, crafting)
  2. Another reason not to group with random people.
  3. But on the other hand you don't have numbers on how many people love the story and how many don't. The people posting here are only a small percentage of the players.
  4. I always wonder why people want games changed to their taste, when there are thousands of games out there and it should be not so hard to find one that fits their taste. I'm always baffled when I see that a game should be more like this game or that game, diversity in games is needed to give people a choice to play the game that they want. SWTOR has 1.3 mil subscribers, so the game is generic enough to please 1.3 m people, but it won't be for anyone and that is not needed also.
  5. From 123 servers to 8 servers, I can just lol about that. Anyway it's 91 EU servers indeed. If you would have to fit all EU players on 4 servers, it would lead to a massive explosion of the servers.
  6. We'll see in 5 years from now, if the game still exists then it was not dying... I think it's a bit early to tell if this game will succeed or not.
  7. Well, it's the internet, people feel safe expressing their emotions more than they would ever do in real life,at least I hope so... Part of the people just enjoys bashing the game, even if they enjoy playing it an hour after, why would they else be subscribed or even show any interest for the forums? But the worst thing is, that a lot of people are not able to express their issues in a normal and constructive way, it is often if they don't fix this, I unsubscribe or I am a paying customer, thus I demand now..(do they even wonder if what they demand is even what they payed for...like a bugless game..?) I sometimes see very good posts about issues but also about things people like, but they tend to get almost no attention, so that might also be a reason people overreact to get the attention they want for their posts.
  8. VO in this game are part of the gameplay, you make the choices and your chars react according to that.
  9. You accused me of playing GW2 a lot more than looking at the pretty VO's here. First you don't know a thing about me, and then again, how can I play GW2 more if it's not out?? But I knew you would reply this..
  10. Why are you here anyway if you like GW2 sooo much better?
  11. If anyone played the GW2 beta, it should have occurred to them how bad the VO's were there. It was just two people standing, doing nothing with some faint background, half the time the voices were gone or not synchronized. Here all the VO's are like little movies and you can really see the amount of work that went into the VO's. Anyway if anything is broke on my computer it's more my mouse from pointing the choices, but not my spacebar. I almost never touched it.
  12. The people who really cared about and were on low pop servers rerolled already long time ago, because in february already the well populated servers were known (and no it's not just fatman) . They did announce it quite clearly though, but people don't seem to read, they probably expect have that Bioware sends them an individual email with specifics on how and when they can transfer, with sincere apologies on behalf of the development team (although I don't think developers are responsible for the server populations) One good advice for those who decided to unsub, this whole circus will occur again in your next MMO and if you really want to be on a well populated server, take the servers with the longest queues and don't start to complain within two days that the queues are too long.
  13. 46, female, Star Wars reminds me of my youth, Bioware was already one of my favourite gamemakers, I like MMO's (including the fantasy ones). You need a little patience to really enjoy this game, maybe that's why older gamers like it better.
  14. I like the game for what it is, taste is subjective. They won't be able to please anyone, that's probably why 25% of the subscribers dropped. It happens in all games. It's no disaster really. If they improve on the foundations where they started they will keep a healthy subscriberbase.
  15. I disagree partly. Transfers (not merges) are needed to get people from low population servers, but I think pushing out new playable content is also very important to keep the game healthy and I'm not talking about chat bubbles, but new pve and pvp content, not just features, but new warzones, new quests (group- and solo), new events, new planets eventually.
  16. 25% is ok, it's less retention than the average MMO. People who say oh...boy, they lost 25% of their customers forget that the game market is a very volatile market, where part of the people only uses the product for a few weeks (even MMO's nowadays). 1.3 million subs is ok, because that should be a solid enough subscribersbase to pay development teams and extend the game. If they do it right, the game wil grow. So, I don't think Bioware/EA will have a problem with these numbers right now.
  17. You could also look at it from a positive side, as long as people post here and the forums still seem lively enough, this game is alive. They are only a small percentage of the players anyway.
  18. Since I counted 55 standard/heavy servers at about the same time as you last night, I think it does matter. You made it look like less than half of the servers was standard or heavy, while in fact it was more than half of the EU servers.
  19. It completely depends on the kind of bugs. I have encountered no game breaking bugs, some very annoying bugs and quite some minor bugs. Most of the very annoying bugs were solved quite quickly (I still have one open), a lot of the minor bugs still exist, but part of them were fixed also. I would only stop playing immediately if I encountered game breaking bugs. In a MMO, everyone plays on different hardware, different set-ups, with different IP's so bugs you encounter are not neccesarily bugs that other people encounter. If you want them solved, you should make a clear bugreport and still not expect that all your bugs will be solved soon. If you expect a bugless MMO, I would advice you to stop playing MMO's or rather get rid of your computer, because bugless software does not exist.
  20. No, you are not alone, I know plenty of people who are very much enjoying this game, including me.
  21. Trask Ulgo about 45 minutes ago (10.45 pm)
  22. I play on 3 standard servers and they are definitely not dead, I just counted 1000 people in one faction on a standard server.
  23. You forgot quite some servers, there are about 85 EU servers.
  24. 55 servers standard or heavy, 30 light. Still more than half of the servers is not low.
