  1. I like the legacy system as something promising. They could implement so many things with legacy eventually. Sure they started with not too many options, but I believe that it will be a great part of the game in the future and also very extensible. Over time people will have enough legacy and money to buy or get legacy perks, I don't think it would be good if you could get all the legacy perks in a few weeks time.
  2. I have no real problems with population on the servers where I play, I only would like transfers, because my characters are spread thin and with legacy now I prefer not to play on more than two servers in the end. I don't mind if transfers are payed, because at least it makes people think about where to transfer and not change servers every week thus preventing from server communities to build.
  3. OP, do you mind if I don't want to group with you? I rather group and play with my friends. Maybe that's why guilds should exist. To get to learn to know people, it's is much more fun to play with people you know, than with random people online, at least that is my experience.
  4. They advertized the game, like every normal company does. People (over)hype the game to unrealistic heights.
  5. That's a matter of opinion, I loved the consular story.
  6. I spent maybe 5% of my time on the fleet (just to train or get/turn in quests), I never read general chat when I am on the fleet, because it's just spam mostly (chat on planets is more interesting). I see more people on some planets than on the fleet, I queue PvP from any place I am.
  7. Well, I can already imagine the complaints about GW2, they have no customizable UI at this point, it's not really easy to understand without tutorial, grouping was nearly impossible in the last beta due to the overflow servers. So, at release people will be complaining like they do here, but still play it, because it also has a lot of nice features (their story sucks compared to SWTOR btw). I'll play it also as long as I enjoy it, like I will play SWTOR as long as I enjoy it.
  8. If it's a true Bethseda game, there will be bugs, the UI will be clunky, you'll have to walk endlessly (etc..all the complaints I have seen about SWTOR as well), but I will love it, like I love SWTOR. Both Bioware and Bethseda are on my list of favorite game developers, because they have their own genuine vision about games.
  9. No National holiday in the Netherlands either, but I am sure this is appreciated by those who live in countries where they have a National holiday.
  10. I can understand where people come from, that can only play one game at the time, I can also see why people play almost any game that hits the market. They are just different kinds of gamers.
  11. Server mergers and lfg tools are content? For me they are just optional mechanics to play the game. When I think of content, I think of new planets, new quests, new stories.
  12. - DC's - forums down - not able to log in - Not able to group!! That is the state of GW2 now.
  13. Trying the GW2 beta now, if you do that you thank Bioware for the smooth beta and launch they had. I think SWTOR does not need saving, it's one of the best games out there now.
  14. Only if I can turn it off, well that does not really help, or does it? I played Rift and only for some exceptions I had my group on private most of the time. I can't be bothered with strangers that join our group and mostly are either far away, doing the different quests or hope to ninjaloot. In Rift it sometimes had a purpose when a Rift opened, but if you think that people will do Heroics or Flashpoints when thrown in a random group, I think it will not happen.
  15. Except for legacy which I love as a concept, I discovered while playing that they had changed lots of details and small annoyances. I'm quite pleased with 1.2, I think it's a step in the right direction.
  16. Why decide if you like something or not based on other people's opinions? Just do what you like to do and let other people do the things they like to do. Who cares really what other people think as long as you think you made the right decision.
  17. This is also how i feel about the game, the legacy makes it interesting to create a family of alts.
  18. I only remember SWG as a game where I stood standing around waiting for something pre NGE...Post -NGE it was empty, much more empty than SWTOR. EvE was much more fun compared to SWG.
  19. The best thing is to find some friends/family/collegues to play with you and level together. I'm never without a group.
  20. I like games where I'm guided but I also like games where I'm not guided. I'm just happy if there's enough diversity in the game market. The best that I get out of SWTOR are the stories and the more stories I play the better they get, because I recognize people from other stories and situations, in the end it becomes one big story.
  21. Clearly you haven't been really griefed in your life , or you wouldn't care about someone spreading a plague in a videogame, that is ment as part of the game.
  22. I agree, I play with my husband and he can constantly flirt with all kinds of NPC's. I think I encountered no more than 3 times an opportunity to flirt and without any follow-up. Us female toons also want a little love!
  23. Ah..yeah, I forgot about you, my sincere apologies.
