  1. ewok companion? On topic; I don't see anything ground breaking here but I sure am going to resub at least for a month (like there's a shorter option lol) to play with the new companion and maybe roll a cathar JK. Note about pandas; like them or not, they come with an animation set of ~100 animations, their own model and perhaps capital city. I wouldn't compare that with a few new skins, some of which are already in the game.
  2. I unsubbed as soon as I heard about 1.3 which has cool features but no content at all. But now I watched the E3 video and I'm somewhat excited. First off I must say the new planet is meh but well it means loads of quests and visuals. I would really hate the level cap increase, if I was playing. Now I don't give a crap but I think it's an insult to the active players. As far as we know a level cap increase makes all FPs and OPs and gear obsolete. New companion is really exciting. It brings along a huge load of possibilities. The new space mission looks extremely cool, so does the new ops. I'm going to resub as soon as the new companion hits, finish the new content and unsub again until the next content update, of course unless the new content comes up before I finish the existing ones.
  3. I've unsubbed two times from WoW and always come back right before expansions. I've unsubbed from SWTOR too and would come back if anything that attracts my attention gets done. Not talking about one new FP of course.
  4. Back in January my server (which you can see in my sig) was one of the most crowded in EU if not the most. It slowly decreased in population and within May, it suddenly died. No pvp, noone in guild, noone in fleet, I hear the patient ones rerolled on another server... The only thing I could do is to unsub, which I did. Now, while I don't know what the initial number of active players in my server but lets say it was a thousand. And now it's something close to zero. And I know my server isn't the only example. How is this a success?
  5. Well I don't know bout others but I'm partnering and designing for an indie game company already. While our single online game is a browser game and nothing compared to SWTOR, and while I'm not a programmer myself, I've got "an idea" on what programming is, unlike most that have posted here. And no I won't declare my company's name here to feed the trolls, I'm not trying to prove myself either. Anyone that uses common sense can say a patch with no content in it can't be considered a major patch.
  6. My patience is just as long as I have some content to play. And if you're really thinking hundreds of BW coders have been working 24/7 to bring you adaptable armor and all 1.3 stuff, you really lack any sort of programming knowledge. First off, coding most things not gameplay related in a game is fairly simple. It's the bug tests that takes the largest amount of time. As I said, there are two problematic issues in 1.3, which are transfers which is already implemented but soft-locked as far as we know, and group finder. The sad part is we're probably gonna bug test the group finder ourselves anyways.
  7. Hehe, wish it was marketed that way. Couple of the Old Republic. But it wasn't. As for me, not only I'm not going to trust any EA/BW collaborations, I'm not going to buy any MMO right away.
  8. Your expectations are very realistic. It really seems like BW has given up on SWTOR.
  9. While I'm exaggerating, yes tagging an armor as "adaptable" as in it gets armor value according to which class it's worn by, is extremely easy. If content promises for 1.4 is enough for you, that's ok. I, too, can live with that. But it's not enough to attract new players or players that have unsubbed.
  10. Ok I've been on hiatus, enjoying my free game time by NOT playig SWTOR for a week now. I'm unbelievably happy with it. Not to mention I am (was?) planning to return to the game with 1.3. Needless to say I was expecting a LOT from BW since all the game medium has been shaking with news of how SWTOR subs collapsed. Now, of course I know we're getting more or less what we have been promised for the last couple of months, yet what surprises me is, how can: -Group finder (which is a more simpler code than you think, but of course has a lot of bug risks) -Adaptable social armor (which is probably 2 lines of code) -Augment tables (need I say something) -Legacy XP boost unlocks (again...) -Character transfers (which is already an available script as far as we know) be considered a major patch with its own name "Allies" ? In the same interview Daniel says they will be no new content in 1.3. Now if they were implementing server merges instead of transfers, that would be some sizeable code work. * First off, as far as we know this is in total 1 day of coding and 2 weeks of bug testing TOPS, for a company size of BW. * Secondly, doesn't BW have any designers, modellers, story writers or level designers left? If there are any, what are all of them doing all this time? Nothing at all?... * And lastly, how can BW consider this patch will attract ANY players at all? Is anyone supposed to say "hey augment tables is coming, I'm totally gonna try out SWTOR now!!" while other developers are working their *** off to attract gamers and casuals alike. Of course if 1.3 hits on time I'll try to enjoy the transfers and group finder, but doing the same old content all over again doesn't sound attractive at all. I'l probably unsub while waiting for 1.4.
  11. It was fun while it lasted, but it died so soon.
  12. Good idea. Another feasible idea would be active subscription -> inactive subscription. I'm sure most created characters on most servers are inactive at the moment.
  13. I've been insisting on questions about poor Armstech but haven't been answered yet. One more question. Why doesn't armstech get PvP/PvE top tier weapon schematics while the Armor/synthweavers get them? Also why is there no armstech schematics that drop off of OPs bosses? Also, as for augment kits schematics, you could make them exclusive for armstech.
