  1. Oh. Well that problem seems to be fixing itself since the playerbase is leaving en masse. Without players the game should be just fine.
  2. I'm going to at least try it to see what different devs can do with the same engine. I have a gut feeling that says Bethesda has that thing running smooth as silk.
  3. I know tonight... excitement walks the Earth.
  4. I'd expect the devs to be too busy playing Diablo 3 tomorrow to do any work on TOR.
  5. But we do have numbers on how many left. 2.4 million sold 1.3 million subscribers = 1.1 million people already said "Thanks, but no thanks." In just 5 months. And with summer and big games coming and free months running out that number is going to snowball a lot, and fast. I just hope you have an alternate income, Jeramie. EA might have to lay you off soon.
  6. Sounds like a well thought out and worthwhile system.
  7. Let me ask you since you just unsubbed, can you detail exactly the questionairre they gave you after unsubbing? Specifically the parts about free to play?
  8. Their tactics so far have been so transparent and sad.
  9. Free trials, multiple free weekends, and a free month already. Also I don't why why you guys are saying hundreds of thousands. 2.4 million people bought the game and 1.1 million have already decided not to spend another penny on it and we're not even 6 months in or into the rought stretch of summer + competitors launching. IMO "over a million" drives the point home better and is more accurate than "hundreds of thousands". Heck "hundreds of thousands" almost sounds like damage control when the reality is "over a million" people have decided to quit..
  10. Bottom line is this game is going free to play. They're already giving questionairres about free to play to people who unsub. So it's just a matter of time now.
  11. Probably. It makes sense considering the big feature in 1.3 is a group finder that is -not cross server-. That way people on dead servers can use it to find people who aren't even there.
  12. And if a guy spends a few minutes playing TOR he also is counted as fully subscribed. It's crazy when you think that TOR during the quarter launched the Asia Pacific realms and STILL managed to LOSE 25% of its total population. That means they lost one account for every new account gained on the Asia Pacific servers and then 400,000 more ON TOP OF THAT. All without having any major new competition like they will now, or having to deal with people leaving during the summer season for vacations and just generally going outside and whatnot. Wow. They definitely haven't hit the low point yet. Next review is going to be abysmal.
  13. It's because KOTOR 2 wasn't made by Bioware. The game needs more Kreia.
  14. First off they already said the transfers won't all be free. Only to specific servers. All others will be paid transfers. Second, transfer where ever you want. It just shuffles people around. It doesn't make more players. The game sold 2.4 million copies, but there's supposedly only 1.3 million accounts, with 400k leaving just in the last quarter. Transfers just move around a dying population, they don't add new population. This game needs more players. Transfers won't help that.
