  1. No. WoW at launch in late 2004. I don't remember this lame normal/heroic options back then. It was hard period.
  2. O rly? That's news to me. So people were able to down Ragnaros a week after MC was released?
  3. True. Then again most guilds couldn't field 40 level 60s with all the blue set equipment you could find in the 5 man dungeons at release. I remember my guild got owned by the two lava giants at the front when we first tried lol. It took a long time to find enough good players to complete that instance. Onyxia was the first real raid back then since it only took 25. Hard as hell too as you didn't have all the raid mods back then. Still have fond memories of the time I spent with people spent doing those raids. Memories I don't see happening in swtor.
  4. So vanilla WoW had nothing to do. Well except for challenging raids and world pvp in your own words. Yeah I don't recall people blowing through Onyxia/MC/BWL/AQ less than a month after the content was released. So would you like to explain how the swtor endgame is superior?
  5. Comon OP. I'm still waiting for you to explain how the SWTOR endgame is so much more superior in WoW.
  6. Lol. Explain the originality of the swtor endgame. Everyone is waiting. FYI WoW has existed since 2004. The endgame your talking about is not the same one that launched with vanilla WoW. The endgame back then is not the trivial pug crap people are talking about in it's current state. Certainly no guilds were lapping around MC less than a month after it was released.
  7. There would be no repair costs if they didn't die. So tell them to shape up and quit being noobs and dying on content pugs clear all the time.
  8. It's not the game. It's the people in your guild. There is nothing preventing people in your guild from handholding each noob through the heroic flashpoint is there? I don't blame them anyway. If the noobs can't even handle a heroic flashpoint with you helping them out what is going to happen when they want to join you for operations?
  9. Shrug. Back in vanilla WoW if guildies were so inept that they couldn't handle the 5 mans to get ready for MC they were a liability anyway. There were all kinds of reasons, but it usually boiled down to being grossly undergeared and/or they didn't know how to play their class. Put it this way: all your veteran guild members had no one to help them get where they are now. Why are the newbies having such problems?
  10. Old thread on tips about the fight: http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=282488 I don't remember it being difficult on my marauder.
  11. Too overpowered in PvP. Can you imagine a Jawa sniper? Damn I would roll one.
  12. Bioware missed a real opportunity to provide a different experience from the typical WoW MMO with space. The on-rail shooter crap is an embarrassment. Yeah I've read they are overhauling it. Doesn't mean squat until it's out. You can't play vaporware.
  13. What you don't like it when he keeps yapping the same lines and ruining the beginning of any cutscene with the holoterminal unless you want for him to shut up? Smell the nectar. SMELL IT.
  14. I have 10 days left and I already unsubscribed. Only reason I log in is I hate the feeling that I'm leaving money on the table for time I already paid for.
  15. Well your just a rude little $%#%% aren't you? I've finished the maruader/BH/trooper storylines. While technically you could use any of the companions, I find it alot easier to use the healing companion. The only exception is if your a healing class. Could I use a different companion? Yes I tried Vette instead of Quinn with my marauder since they use the same gear. While you could kill things alot faster, you can also die alot faster if your careless. I didn't find the time savings that great since Quinn usually healed me while I ran to the next encounter while I had to pause to regen hp with Vette.
  16. The second half of the trooper story was definitely "meh". Marauder was definitely the best compared to trooper and bounty hunter.
  17. I played WoW on release and stopped after BC was released. I was too busy having fun to give a crap about the forums. On the other hand the forums on swtor are as entertaining as the game once you've finished two class storylines.
  18. He can but unless you gear him he's an awful healer. Plus he does zilch damage. Lastly it's bad enough whenever I step on the ship I have to hear him. The only consolation in dragging him planetside is to watch him get repeatedly mauled.
  19. You are incredibly naive. I suggest you get a job with a company that relies on people subscribing. When numbers go down no one is announcing that to the public.
  20. It's disturbing that the blind are the ones offering advice. FYI this game is not hard.
  21. L2p. My marauder was a beast once I got the healing companion. Properly geared and played you can slice through mobs.
  22. Lol. Give me a BREAK. Only EA and bioware know the true state of the subscriber numbers. They sure are not going to tell anyone if the numbers look bad. Anecdotally the server pop I play on has dropped on my previous very heavy pop server. The worlds are pathetically depopulated while fleet numbers are static at best.
  23. I don't need misleading numbers like 1.7 million subs to tell me the server pop is going down. I have noticed it on my server as the world zones are continually being depopulated and the numbers at fleet are static.
  24. Typical. It's our fault for expecting too much for swtor to provide a better gaming experience then what is already out there. Keep singing that tune while people unsubscribe.
