  1. The game was entertaining for two playthroughs. After that gets old real quick. The major problems I see now is that many of the worlds are way underpopulated and it feels like your playing a single player game instead of a MMO. Where there used to be constant general chatter to form groups for heroics the last two weeks there has been hardly any on my server. If your having fun that's all that matters though. I just wouldn't sign up more than a month at a time.
  2. Yes. Pick the heaviest server you can.
  3. All the content is trivialized. Everyone levels so fast there is little to play for once you finish your class storyline. The world design makes replaying an alt incredibly repetitive. Switching sides does little to improve it as only Dromand Kaas/Coruscant and the starter world provide a unique setting. Everything else is the same. The worlds are half to mostly empty. It's a combination of poor design in leveling, crafting, and no compelling reason to revisit any of the worlds once your done. Sorry datacrons don't cut it.
  4. It's your gpu that is the bottleneck. By far. Your processor is fine, especially if you buy an aftermarket cooler like a coolermaster hyper 212+ and overclock it. I guess you can buy more RAM but it's a dead-end upgrade and DDR3 RAM is actually cheaper.
  5. Hate to burst your bubble but this is WAY down the totem pole. And no people are not leaving swtor over this lol.
  6. You can self-rationalize any way you want. It is easy to determine what piece of gear is the best match for a class.
  7. Gee I dunno, maybe because it's a piece of gear you would wear on your main toon? How about not being a loot whore?
  8. People who roll need on companion gear are f$%#. I roll need on gear I need and will wear that instant. I don't roll need on gear that I can wear but the stats are obviously for another class. That's being a f$#$. If I win a piece a gear I will pass if I see a party member could use that gear if it drops later during a FP. Just because it's a pug doesn't mean it's free license to be an *****%$. Believe it or not there is such a thing as being courteous to other players even if your matched up through LFD.
  9. Well since I know I unsubscribed can we say 1,699,999? I know the fanboys will say get out of the way for the stampede of people rushing to get into the game.
  10. The world design sucks for leveling alts. There is only ONE way to level regardless of what class you play. Even if you ignore the repetitiveness of the world progression there is hardly anyone in the worlds anymore once you get past Coruscant/Dromand Kaas. I've never seen leveling zones depopulate so quickly after a game has been released.
  11. Unsubscribing always lights a fire under a MMO developer. Bioware will ask you why you stop subscribing a few days after you cancel. You still can play with the time you already paid for. If they improve the game you can always come back. Glad I didn't opt for the multiple month option.
  12. Which means.... nothing. Nothing because swtor has never defined what constitutes light/standard/heavy/etc. I play on a server that is mainly standard/heavy during peak and it feels underpopulated to me. Well underpopulated compared to wow when it launched. Of course all the wow servers were slammed at launch. I would rather be in a queue trying to get onto a packed server then getting on a server with barely anyone around. It is supposed to be a MMO isn't it?
  13. Before you take off the "roadblocks" bioware might have considered making the road longer to account for it. The attunements were nothing. If you couldn't get 4 other people to do the quest you had no business doing a 40 man raid. I have yet to see any gear at Fleet that makes me go "damn I want that". The cars are ridiculous. The armor sets/weapons look all the same. The vanilla WoW tiered sets from MC/BWL were distinctive. Then you had the named weapons like Benediction/Thunderfury that were awesome. Maybe Bioware should have spent less money on VO and more on creating weapons/gear people want to get.
  14. Yes flush all the work you've done on your current toon because Bioware can't provide character transfers. Or a LFD tool. So what happens if the server he transfers to also turns into a ghost town? What happens to all the other suckers stuck on light servers? There sure are ALOT of them.
  15. Gee I dunno, maybe not provide so many empty servers? How about providing a free character transfer off? I thought the population was growing according to all you fanboys?
  16. Nah I liked ME2 hands down better than ME1. SWTOR triggered nostalgia alright. The WoW with lightsabers kind.
  17. Anything is better than the current mockery of space that is essentially a bunch of loading screens.
  18. I don't really care whether EA/Blizzard/Bioware/etc is the top dog. I paid $60 for this game plus one month at $15. It's a blatant WoW ripoff with lightsabers. The UI looks like an old version of WoW. The three talent trees for each class are a complete ripoff. Space was an opportunity not to ripoff from WoW. It's a shallow on-rails shooter. The world zones are embarrassingly empty of players. The only thing they didn't ripoff was the ability of WoW to hook me in back when it was released. And no I'm not going back to WoW. Every game gets stale eventually and I left a long time ago. I'm just shocked this game got stale in 2 months.
  19. Well just look at the combat log. Oh right there are no combat logs yet.
  20. You can try swapping out your video card with something better. Otherwise you might as well dump the whole system as your going to have to replace almost everything except the hard drive.
  21. Awful. Shallow. Repetitive. If you have not rolled an opposing faction toon and played the space missions be prepared for the same exact missions down to the flightpaths.
  22. That may be true now. It was not when WoW launched. I remember many of the zones in Azeroth were well-populated well after a year after launch.
