  1. Well, I'm in Chapter X and it's just been more and more annoying. Not just that the new expansion has tons of fighting, but the fights are unavoidable. Knights of Zakuul charging me from a mile away. Enemies spawning from nowhere. Hardly anywhere I can mount and just run away from things. AND I'm barely getting any XP.
  2. I just found out the ancient ship and clearing the monsters inside it, but I got tired of fighting a whiiiiiiiiiiiiile back. I like the new companions but I'm really tired of fighting. How long until I get back to my ship and my crew? I noticed I can use the ship transport, but I'm afraid that I'll mess something up in the story. The question remains, is the whole Fallen Empire just one big fight?
  3. I managed to get 1000 commendations as I dinged 60 so I was able to buy all 186 gear straight away. But where to go to get 192+ gear? I noticed that I can do hard mode flashpoints but the gear there is worse than mine, except the last boss who drops random 192 item. And that's too much of a gamble. I can buy a 192 barrel for my sniper rifle on the market, but that's it. Where to next? Story Mode Operations? Join a guild and hope to run some raids?
  4. It's a pity, the game sure could use an update. I'm using Series 808 armor on my character and while it looks awesome, the textures on the chest are so blurry that I'd rather not look at them. It seems fishy that you are having issues with your system. Is that on 2k or 4k resolution? I have a 3770k @ 4.4ghz, 16gb ram and oced 980Ti and the game is almost all the time at 60 fps (v-sync), all that with everything maxed and 4k resolution and Windows 10. I don't remember how much FPS I had in Warzones but I ran a few and I noticed no difference. Maybe they will at least put some more effort in how gear looks.
  5. The game looks kinda dated in my opinion. It's much newer than WoW but does look worse. I love the game, but really would like it to test my 980Ti on 4k. It has to make me want to buy a second card
  6. I decided to stick to my Sniper. But I do have a lvl 21 Jedi Knight from before. How long does x12 xp last?
  7. The thing is, while I'm a huge sci-fi fan, I'm not really a Star Wars fan, so all force and lightsabers and stuff are off the list Also, after reading a bit on operative, I came to conclusion that the class is not really a ranged one, even though they use Blaster Rifles. So Operatives fall off the list. So now it's either keeping my Sniper or going Vanguard. I will probably keep my Sniper.
  8. Hi! I'm a returning player, and I have not been playing for a very long time. I need you to help me decide which way to go. My favorite part of MMO gaming is healing, therefore Operative is high on list. However I already have a nicely geared lvl 50 sniper (which is probably pointless if I decide to level up past 50), so the story would be the same if I go through it. On the other side I don't mind tanking as Vanguard, but it's just not as fun as healing. I will only PvE in groups and solo. The biggest issue I have is that my Sniper is so old that I have a lot of ancient stuff that is not in game anymore, for example, Korrealis Commander, which sells for insane amounts on the market.
  9. Bioware must speed up their development. The way things look now, they are faster at releasing patches than Blizzard, but still not enough in my eyes. It lacks in content compared to WoW, which is understandable as the game is 7 years younger. And SW:ToR was a far better game than WoW upon release, but that is just not enough considering it's so similar to WoW. Also, Bioware should have gone Mass Effect MMO, not Star Wars. It would've been cheaper and better and more fun. Star Wars sure have a lot of fans, but obviously not even half of Warcraft. And lightsabers? Come on, every new one you get practically looks the same except for the color. I just can't see myself looking forward to that new and upgraded lightsaber (the reason why I rolled a sniper and ditched my assassin, at least there I get visual updates on stuff). Story driven leveling is fun... but something tells me Bioware is hoping the game will last because of 8 unique stories. There is no way in hell I will level 8 characters to 50 just to experience the story. I wouldn't mind doing that if every class had unique quests and zones, but that's too much to ask. Right now, 90% of the quests are the same. I had fun, but then I leveled to 50 and it felt like sci-fi WoW. And I quit WoW because enough is enough, it's just too damn much, they should've ended it 2 years ago and created another MMO. PvE & PvP in this game. Well, forums is the proof. This is a PvP game. Take a look at how many posts there are in each forum. Whenever you say something people automatically assume you're talking about PvP. Heck, it's even acceptable to go HM flashpoints in PvP gear. It's easy to get and gets the job done. Would not have been an issue if people actually stopped looking at my damn hp to judge how much dps I can do. I'm not convinced by 1.2 patch. They are talking so much about UI changes, who cares about UI changes if we are not allowed to use addons to modify them (I'm one of those players who completely overhaul their WoW UI). Maybe one (buggy) operation. Lost Island will also probably come with 1.2. That is ONE flashpoint. One world boss... no word on improving the blurry graphics. Which is actually the biggest turnoff for me. My character looks worse than Vanguard from 2007... which is a pity as the game have some nice looking armor. Dead servers. Yes they are dead. So many "light" servers out there on EU side, few "standard" and like 2-4 "heavy" ones. Considering there's no LFG option or "crossrealm" in WoW terms, then this is a serious issue. Merging should happen if they want to keep the customers. In 7 years, SW:ToR will be a better game than what WoW is now... Guild Wars 2 is coming... Diablo 3 is coming... Tera is coming... probably none of those are going to hurt WoW much... but what do you think will happen to SW:ToR? Question is, can you see yourself playing 1 year from now if nothing drastically changes?
  10. I wasn't talking about PvP. Why does everyone in this game assume people talk about PvP? I have 2 lvl 50 characters and I have entered a warzone once, on neither of them but on my first character the second I changed my class. Never looked back.
  11. The problem with our 4 set bonus is that it's completely useless until the target is almost dead. All other set bonuses can be used anytime, but not ours. It should've been a 2 set bonus.
  12. Anyone feeling like our 4 set bonus could've been better? There's no better word for it than USELESS on anything above 29% hp.
  13. I'm a MM specced sniper looking to balance my stats. My gear is not extremely great but I have columi rated gear. Atm selfbuffed (I'm biochemist and that includes my rakata stim) I am at: 1620 cunning 434 bonus damage 101.5% accuracy 40.25% crit 73.5% crit multiplier. Now, I replaced my Columi Impant with some lvl 49 mastercraft item which had way better stats. I lost 43 endurance, 18 cunning and 23 crit but gained 21 accuracy and 40 power, stat gain will be even higher when I actually put a cunning augment in it (I don't have any augment in it), which will negate cunning loss and actually increase by 10. Long story made short, I'm not sure what to do, put +28 cunning or +28 power in the augment slot. And since I''ve already made this thread, thought that I might as well ask, what is our stat priority? I've heard it changed with the surge nerf, but no updated answer as what exactly to go for. Is cunning the main thing to go for, then power, followed by crit & surge? How much difference does accuracy make once you go past 100%? I know it further lowers enemy defenses, but is it worth going for over crit & surge (it's most likely not better than cunning & power).
  14. The only reason why I'm still paying for this game is the promise of better looking visuals in 1.2. If that doesn't happen I'm just going to ditch the game and wait until they actually do something about it. Some people don't care, but I do. And considering how many threads there are made about this issue, a lot of other people care about it as well. I do think that SWTOR is a beautiful game, however the characters are way too blurry, and we're missing higher antialiasning settings.
  15. Hmm, seems you guys are doing your rotations a lot different from me. I forgot to mention, I was asking about boss rotation for flashpoints and operations. Mine is: Scatter Shot > Series of Shots > Attack Adrenal > Orbital Strike > Crit/surge relic > Target Acquired > Rapid Fire > Series of Shots > Series of Shots > Ambush > Followthrough > Countermeasures > Laze Target > Snipe and then work from there, prioritizing Series of Shots and then Reactive Shot Ambush, Followthrough is always kept on cooldown, and then just sniping when everything is on cooldown, or using Rifle Shot if my energy is <50%. When the target is below 30% hp I'm prioritizing Takedown over everything except Reactive Shot Ambush + Followthrough combo. I've noticed that my dps isn't bad, but I like to max out my performance and I'm having hard time finding out what works best since we lack mods like damage meters. Edit: I'm also throwing in Diversion when I feel like it should be used.
