  1. I hardly noticed any difference on loading times between a SSD and HD. I doubt putting this on a ramdrive is going to make any significant difference unless you have an awful hard drive.
  2. His argument is a farce since the only "evidence" he will believe are server pop numbers directly from Bioware. Information Bioware is not going to share until they and EA have to report it on their quarterly financial statements.
  3. Proof? It's what is happening on my server. There are posts all over the forums from other players stating the same thing. What your going to hide behind the "that's not official blah blah blah"? What ulterior motive would people like myself have when we have shelled out $60 for the game and $15/month to play it? What we buy the game so we can unfairly trash it?
  4. Apparently whoever at Bioware is tone-deaf based on the latest Q & A. Instead of addressing real issues that cause people to quit the game in disgust like empty servers and lack of LFD, they are focused on dealing with fluff. I mean really, a pressing need are HOODS that can be put up/down? And the server pops keep dropping....
  5. No idea what your talking about. I have a Gigabyte 570 gtx and my gpu temps are no higher than with any other game after checking on MSI Afterburner. I'm running on 1900x1200 with everything including shadows turned to max. I also slightly overclock my card, though not high enough where I have to bump up the voltage.
  6. I still have 10 days left. Trying to decide whether it's worth plowing through to see the IA class story. I'm so sick of Taris and I just got to that point. Ugh. ME3 can't come fast enough.
  7. Yep. Getting hyped up about an unreleased game just sets people up for disappointment. As to the OP you can't play potential. The game has to be judged in it's current state and it's just not that great.
  8. It really doesn't matter if it's theme park or sandbox. It's just not a compelling experience in its current state. Stuff like LFD, craft rehaul, endgame experience rehaul, massive lag in large pvp battles, etc would take alot of time to fix IMO. If any of the above was almost ready to launch I'm pretty certain the devs would say something.
  9. I would actually play the space mission where you disable the orbital space station if it let me bypass the lame orbital space stations. Nothing would be more satisfying then pumping that stupid station full of missiles. Rather use a photon torpedo except for the 50 level restriction.
  10. I will conserve my emergency fleet pass or use my 1k security vendor pass rather than go through all the idiotic doors. Only problem is I'm forced to go through them on the way there.
  11. Seems to be plenty of tanks/healers on my server in proportion to DPS. It's an interesting change of pace for me since I used to be a healer in raiding for WoW. No need to lock down one choice anyway. I've finished up all three class storylines of each archetype (merc, vanguard, marauder).
  12. I do enough side quests on a planet until I am at the same level as the max level gear available at the comm vendor. Then I move on. Used to be in beta you could trade old comms to the next world comm on a 2:1 basis. Now your just stuck with a bunch of useless comms to buy gear you outleveled. Also if you do all the side quests it will make your next play through even more repetitive than it already is.
  13. I use beta 290.53 with a 570 gtx. No problems. The official drivers is back from late Oct. I had to upgrade because the drivers were messing up video on Windows Media Center.
  14. That's the thing. When you start fighting. I'm not sure what the magic number is for swtor but it seems more than 25-30+ in combat causes exponentially awful server side lag.
  15. Ditto. They could have made crafting alot more interesting by allow you to craft items better than what you could quest for at the same level. Getting the necessary materials would be a quest in itself.
  16. Simply put the M for map shows a player too much. Rather than look around a location and actually seeing the visual content in front of you it's easier to hit M and run to the spot. All the indoor locations simply become long hallways and corridors. While the overhead map is blacked out that's no obstacle as you still know unerringly where all the quest items are, even in areas yet to be discovered. Not much suspense in exploring a location when M reveals everything.
  17. The fact that crafting is so poorly thought out in the game is what hurt this game, not companion gathering. The economy is so messed up that there is no real reason to pursue a craft. It take alot more time trying to craft an item than questing and buying it from someone else.
  18. If you finished all the solo quests available on Tat you are higher than 27. I don't care if you never visited Balmorra.
  19. Shrug. There is no way your only 27 if you have done every single solo quest on Balmorra and Tat excluding heroics. Either your trolling or not very good at leveling.
  20. MC/Onyxia were released less than 4 months after WoW was launched. I don't remember people QQ on the forums on how trivial those two pieces of content were. No one was logging off after their one night of raiding.
  21. GO TO TATOOINE. YOU KNOW, THE PLANET WHERE LUKE SKYWALKER GREW UP? LOOKS LIKE DESERT? MOS EASLEY? GREEDO? Jesus.
  22. I'm not the one who arbitrarily put "recent". If you want to compare swtor to train wrecks like STO and other garbage that's your choice. Maybe it's not a coincidence WoW is the top dog and EQ1 is still online.
