Costello
Will goods that are purchased with glowing data crystals have set bonuses on it? Cause if it doesn't the conversion is one of set bonus gear for non set bonus gear. With the goal of the dev team to have people regrind the last 5 levels to play the end game gear (which was played through at the appropriate level to get the tokens) the value of the gear would be diminished. As such playing through Ravengers on HM on the 19th is less rewarding than playing the exact same op on HM on the 20th. Making it so that long standing customers achievements are worth less than new players achievements. Unless of course it is the devs desire just to court new players. FlyinSpaghetti
Ouch I've seen in general someone who's been collecting tons of Matter Transubstantiator the last few days and now it's been converted to a blue mat. I hope they used them and weren't preparing for any 4.0 conversion...
PavSalco
I have no idea which ones Glowing are (Basics? Elites?), but this would've been really useful info to hand out earlier. And what's this? -> http://www.swtor.com/community/showpost.php?p=8457322&postcount=
Transairion
This. I would also like to know what are these Glowing Data Crystals (elites? if yes what happens if i got maxed out elite comms? increased cap or?) Thank you in advance I would imagine they are, as said, in boxes, so you only get the comms when you open them. Like if you opened the SOR 99 Comm boxes and got nothing if you were already capped. So just don't open them until have space. Hey folks, I wanted to let you know about what changes are coming to Commendations in Fallen Empire, this way you can plan accordingly. Simply put, only the names of some existing Commendations are changing. There are no conversion rates or anything this time around. Basic Commendations will now be called Common Data CrystalsElite Commendations will now be called Glowing Data CrystalsUltimate Commendations will now be called Radiant Data CrystalsAll other Commendation names remain the same. Again, there are no conversion rates pre/post Fallen Empire. Thanks! -eric This says Glowing Data = Elites... which is maybe a little worrying. Elites are notorious for being basically vendor trash, since Ops gear with set bonus is better, and non-Ops vendor Ultimate usually marginally better. Honestly for the most part Elites, or "Glowing" are the most worthless things to get. I can at least spam Lockboxes with Basics, but maybe they'll buy something other than comm gear in KOTFE? .... maybe? And what's this? -> http://www.swtor.com/community/showp...22&postcount=1 Went looking for it as soon as I posted Though forgive me for not knowing 3 new variations of Data Crystal off by heart yet... Max_Killjoy
Yeah, it's not like they have had three or four months already to draw up a draft or two covering patch notes. I am deeply amused by the image of staff in Austin typing furiously as they pour over last-minute emails and wads of stick notes... and given their "professionalism" in regards to this "upgrade" to SWTOR, I also have no trouble believing that's what's really going no at this very minute. Glad I didn't buy more than 1-2 purple mats.. All those Exoniums over the last couple months for <$4k each apparently has been a decent investment. Meanwhile... the other shoe finnally dropped it seems. (Crafting got a pretty big screw job this Xpac) Way to SHAFT all the folks with Exotech Adreno's... bad enough Radio Active paste is 5k a pop.. *SLAP*Reusabled stuff really should have been given at least a 1:2 or 1:10 for the troubles. Not happy about the RARE Magenta crystal mats going to crap as well conversion 1:1WHY isn't Matter Transubstantiators at least getting 1:2 or 1:4 conversion? Transairion
Why are medpacs turning into stims? Biochem still makes medpacs, right? I would wager they consider a 4 (8?) hour stim fairer compensation for a former reusable, than a one-off purple medpack of the new tier. Or whatever highest tier is in KOTFE. One single-use medpack that's gone in literal seconds wouldn't be ideal in my book too.

Sadly they never seem to answer any questions anyway. Could post first thing on Monday and they still ignore their customers. In that way its an amazing business model. Of course the game started with 1 million subs and after 4,0 month 2 will be under 10,000. So maybe not the best business model but still beats answering customers concerns or defending the indefeasible.

Transairion
more likely they wanted to get rid of the reusable medpacks so players are not so reliant on them, that way players dont have a choice but to keep grinding and building more medpacks and play the new crafting system as it is intended. They hadn't added any new ones since... well, 2.0 and level 55 or so, wasn't it? The only existing reusable were already outdated, and only used at all since they were reusable. Though the question that was asked was "Was is my medpack being exchanged into a stim?" and my opinion was that the new(er) stims last longer than a instant-use medpack, so it seems "more fair" to give that instead. Personally I would've loved to keep reusables, my main tank used like four. I wonder if they've over-looked specific materials tied to crafting specific colour crystals? I don't for a second believe they're so foolish as to outright removed the ability to craft them. They've just changed rare "quest" related mats to "generic pick up off any node" mats, making it easier but 99% more pointless to do the quest in the first place. Master-Nala
I would wager they consider a 4 (8?) hour stim fairer compensation for a former reusable, than a one-off purple medpack of the new tier. Or whatever highest tier is in KOTFE. One single-use medpack that's gone in literal seconds wouldn't be ideal in my book too. I had expected that they would have just turned the reusables into a small stack (something like 99 for medpacks, 6-10 for stims, 12-15 for adrenals).
