EnkiduNineEight
Hey folks! Here is some information on the conversion rates of items and crafting materials that are being changed. Before I jump into the giant list, here are some other notes: All Droid gear will be changed to a "Valuable Droid Part" which you can sell to vendors for credits. All old Operation Gear tokens will be changed into a lockbox which contains Glowing Data Crystals. _REUSABLE_ Stims to be swapped out 1 for 1 for ONE USE ONLY stims? I think you may want to reconsider the conversion rate. At the very least should be 20 to 1. I would suggest 99 to 1 would make up for your unrequested change to crafting and so what if it can be 'converted' to in game credits either viia vendor sale or via GTN sale. In the latter case this means players might have an ample market of stims to start the game off with the new changes instead of waiting for the crafters to catch up. 1 to 1 is unacceptable. Again, great of you to release this information JUST before the changes go live.

Highlandscot
They will probably make releasing patch notes one of the last things that they do today before they head out the door. that way they wont be expected to be there to answer any of the questions that are brought about when they are posted and people have had a chance to read through them. Which is actually rather silly. They are patch notes. Unless the notes reveal some changes to the game that had not been discussed previously, anyone "complaining" about the expansion has had their chances to give opinions. The whole "Alliance" thing won't even be discovered/explained until tomorrow. BioWare should have just posted the patch notes in a locked thread. Eranna
Thank you for the information, a couple questions. What happens to the extra exotic material that has a 3:1 ratio? For example, if you have 4 of the item, 3 will turn into the new exotic, what happens to the extra? I don't suppose there is any way to list what synth and armor schematics are being removed from the game, is there? (Other than all the greens of course.) Thank you! -DesertFox-
Not a fan. Cool, obscure, special crystals (and the means to get them) are something this game needed more of. I do not approve of you taking those things out, or the unusual means to get them, and you ought to know it. I agree. Removing these as well as the method for collecting these mats is a really bad move. And I for one don't appreciate it either. I've been gunning for the Magenta Hawkeye schematic for months. And in the meantime, I've spent countless hours collecting these mats listed above. Guess I've wasted my time.

I think you can guess fairly that instead of a player friendly 'fractions benefit the player' and they give you an extra it will instead be that those extra materials are just lost. considering how many/most of these changes appear to be player unfriendly/punitive. GloomyBoy
This says Glowing Data = Elites... which is maybe a little worrying. Elites are notorious for being basically vendor trash, since Ops gear with set bonus is better, and non-Ops vendor Ultimate usually marginally better. Honestly for the most part Elites, or "Glowing" are the most worthless things to get. This pretty much sums it up. Thank you for making us waste time on ops and such to get set with bonuses and some better stats. Very nice indeed...
GloomyBoy
What happens to the augments that are currently on our ops token armors? Will they dissapear as well? dscount
I'm sorry.. but some of the conversion ratios are terrible... Exotechs are bad, but Reusables getting 1:1 is just complete CRAP!!!!Purple Mat's (Matter Trans) should get at least 1:2 if not 1:4 conversion since not = purple mat (New tier)
Transcendent
I don't for a second believe they're so foolish as to outright removed the ability to craft them. They've just changed rare "quest" related mats to "generic pick up off any node" mats, making it easier but 99% more pointless to do the quest in the first place. Would be nice to have some kind of confirmation from a developer prior to 4.0 hitting us. Otherwise they've left this to the very last minute if they're removing the ability to craft these crystals outright, either by removing the schematics or removing the ability to get those materials in the game from the quest chain to craft them. Which is all things considered, would be yet again something else they're taking away from the players. Edit: Actually I don't want to know. This is yet again terrible communication, left to the last minute prior to an "expansion". (Not blaming you Eric, but this should all have been clarified within the crafting changes Blog). Rockyies
What happens if you just miss the conversion rate. For example lets say you have two Vial of Stabilized Isotope-5 and miss the cutoff off three. What happens to the two Vial of Stabilized Isotope-5? Will they get rounded up, will they disappear, or they remain so you can sell them?

Zalfax
I have a few droids fully augmented. Will the MK-10 Augments be lost then? Will they add to the sell back value? I guess I can strip them out. That's going to be pricey. It would be nice to know how this is being handled. It would have been better if this was posted sooner. Gear from droids should be mailed back to you. I think they stated this, though I could be wrong. Can I offer some rather obvious and straightforward wisdom? Just... take your gear off of your droids and take your augments out of the gear. That way, no matter what decision they make, you'll be fine. The game did a terrible job of explaining how some things were done, that would be one. It is way too obscure to be reasonable. Why exactly do you need water from Tatooine, and why can it only be frozen on Hoth? Ok, maybe I can get the Ilum thing, since there is a crystal there to interact with, but the first two make no sense. I would hope that my ship has the ability to provide water and even freeze it. If you want to have stuff like this in the game, then the game needs to provide an initial quest for it, a guide so to speak. I'm willing to bet that 99% of all players in the game didn't know this existed. That makes operations look downright popular.
