  1. I would start playing pvp again if they made separate queues for premades and solo players. Until then I just won't do it any more. I do agree with you that in the end they need to concentrate more on making the game more fun and less time making changes that drive people away from the game.
  2. I don't know and I don't want to give them any ideas so I wouldn't say even I thought I knew. The better question though might be what bugs will come out of the update.
  3. Wow, your response baffles me. When I saw the change I wondered why they didn't just undo the very unpopular change that they made to reduce the number of points that people could get from turning in reputation tokens. Like you, I have been legacy level 50 for several years, and I was not able to earn points from that objective, but I agree that returning the infinitely repeatable heroric objective that we enjoyed in the 6.x era was good and it was a right thing for them to do. I am not a newbie, and I don't cry about ez-ass conquest objectives. My feeling on the subject is that I play this game to have fun. If conquest points were a natural consequence of playing the parts of the game that I enjoy most, then I would be at my happiest. Instead, the devs select what I need to do to earn points, and that causes me to look at conquest as more of a chore than a part of the game that I enjoy. I don't enjoy grinding, I enjoy playing, and that is why I disagree with the idea that I need to put on my big boy pants and get to griding. Also, Iokath and Makeb suck in my opinion and I would rather scratch my eyes out than do them. Now, I would be ok if they buff section x too, but because it is another daily area that I don't do because I don't like doing it I am also fine with them keeping the points where they are.
  4. Maybe next time instead of trying to sneak changes like this past us by waiting to tell us about them either after they are put in place or in the patch notes hours before they are implemented, you could take the more respectful approach and let us know about the changes ahead of time. In this case you could have told us that you would be making this change in the February live stream, and we could have given you our feedback long before the change was implemented. Then you could have better explained your reasoning behind the change and would have learned from us why we opposed it. That would have given you the opportunity to rethink the change, and maybe avert the unnecessary drama associated with your decision to keep us from learning of your plans.
  5. I get it that some of the mechanics might challenge some people, but I just tried it for the first time in about 5 or 6 years in 336 gear and do not feel that it was over tuned. I did die twice in the Nocturno fight due to a mistake I made by not knowing/remembering the ranged insta kill mechanic. Since I did the fights based on my feeling that I would probably remember enough about them to get by, I thought that two deaths for the ten rounds was not that bad. I guess that it I tried this on a tank or healer I would not have done as well and probably would have failed. I only dps and I can't honestly assess how easy or hard the fights are for non dps specs.
  6. Maybe the reason pvp and gsf give so many points is because they are so unpopular that the devs are hoping to entice more people to participate in them in order to get points, and maybe the people who don't want to participate in them think they deserve an equal chance at earning points for playing the parts of the game that they do enjoy. Did you ever think of that?
  7. And more people will just stop pvping because of premade groups. It's a vicious cycle that only ends up hurting the game.
  8. Yeah, armor drops used to be a small benefit. Now they are just an inconvenience for most people.
  9. If they weren't trying to hide the changes, they could have talked about it during the February live stream or even in a dev post in the days or weeks before the change. They didn't do that though, so it's really hard for me to accept their defense as anything more than excuse to cover up for their true intent.
  10. This is how they have always done business. Remember when they had the eternal championship contest where they gave away a trip to the Star Wars Celebration in London. They made a new rule after the event was that disqualified people why had the best times and ended up giving the prize to someone who (if I remember correctly) coincidentally lived in England somewhere close to London where the event was being held. Making rules after the fact that work out in their favor is definitely something that I expect from them. It is in their nature to do so.
  11. It would be nice if you were right but given the lack of any superseding response from a higher authority, I think the support team's response is based on their official policy.
  12. Even if you were subscribed every day, if your sub lapsed for even 1 minute you do not qualify for the free transfers according to the devs. Of course they didn't say that beforehand, but it is their policy.
  13. That is a massively dishonest and disrespectful approach, but it is consistent with the way that they do business.
  14. It does not make it any better to know that that you intentionally screwed us. I am not confused, I am pissed off.
  15. Another shadow nerf. It is because of things like this that I will never trust the devs in this game.
  16. I think the devs work off the theory that our memories are shorter than their willingness to stick by their decisions (no matter how bad those decisions are). I really don't think they care that much about player retention. Instead, I think that they rely on a steady drip of new people to keep the game marginally afloat, and they are happy with that. So no, I don't think that they are willing to believe that they were wrong about allowing premades to negatively impact the game. I think that they just wonder how long it will take for people to stop complaining about the change.
  17. I get it that they eventually realized how big a mistake it was to take them away, and so the capitulated and introduced the Odessan terminal. That being said, they had already lost my ability to trust them on this issue by then and given what I have seen in the years since they have not given me enough reason to trust them again. The result was what I said before. Companions are now just tools to me, and I have enough of those. So, getting more companions is not something that motivates me to play the game.
  18. I agree. I gave up caring about companions on Oct 20, 2015 when learned that my original companions were being taken away from me after my first playthrough of KotFE chapter 1. Since then, I see companions as tools that I can use when questing or crafting, and I have more of those than I need already.
  19. Knowing how many people are playing is only one part of the equation. Another part is understanding why they are or aren't playing. Alowing premade groups in the same queue as solo players has led me to stop pvping. I stuck around for a while and complained about the issue, but eventually gave up complaining and playing pvp about two weeks into the last season. People say that BS can't divide the queue because there aren't enough people doing pvp. But if the reason people don't pvp is because they don't like it when the queues are united then that issue will need to be addressed if BS is concerned about the health of the game. If the majority of people playing the game wanted to form premade teams to pvp, then the current system would be popular and would be considered successful. Threads like this one are evidence that they are not that popular and are seen by many as a problem that needs to be solved.
  20. Premade groups killed pvp for me. I stopped complaining awhile back and stopped pvping at the same time. Too bad because I used to enjoy it.
  21. I wonder if they have done anything to attract new players from the region to play the game. If they are counting on current players to populate the servers, they would have allowed for transfers from day one. The only reason to restrict transfers was to put everyone (new players included) on a level playing field with each other. Without new players, the restrictions a just frustrating, and off-putting to the people who have already leveled characters and just want to transfer them.
  22. I wish I could give a hundred likes to this post. I agree with you on both points. I find doing multiple playthroughs of Echoes to be more of a chore than anything else and I don't play this game to do chores. I would also like to see more ops. They are enjoyable, and they give me a reason to log in and play with friends. Solo content is fine and has its appeal, but if that's all that the game had to offer it wouldn't be worth subscribing to.
  23. I just watched the video and think that Biggs nailed it. Truth and passion were on full display. It's too bad that his words will probably fall on deaf ears for those that should be listening to what he said.
  24. I am having the same problem. It is really annoying. I will probably just wait until they fix it to do anything else on the pts.
  25. Are the rules changing for item disintegration? I tried disintegrating some 320 - 336 Nobel Decurion and Tionese gear but it was destroyed instead.
