Why isn't there a FAT chick option?

I support a larger body type for females (BBW). I personally prefer heavy gals and find the skinny gals disgusting to look at!

Some of the female body types look like they have a eating disorder. Body type one looks like some one you would see standing in line at a soup kitchen! Some one please give that gal a samwich!

I understand that some find the BBW look ugly and would rather not ever see them but if i am forced to see the skinny ones that i find ugly it wont hurt you to see the bbw ones that i find wonderful!

thin != eating disorder

thin != eating disorder

thin != eating disorder

thin != eating disorder

you and countless others on these forums need to learn this

Anyhow, the issue at hand:

female body type 4 = overweight but curvy

overweight != obese

male body type 4 = obese (people may say that they're not because they have the muscled skin stretched over their wireframe, but it's just the same skin as everyone else. Look at what body type does to the shape of their bodies, and more importantly, their faces)

I think it would be fine to have an actually obese female body type. I'd never use it, most likely, but who knows, as male Twi'leks only look good as type 4, so I wouldn't be surprised if something like that happened

I’m against enforcing absurd sexual dimorphism in any medium, I think it’s pointlessly unrepresentative and see no ‘entertainment’ value in creating impractical ideals. If people think that’s how things ‘should’ be then I merely see a problem with socialisation. Specifically, I fail to appreciate why successful escapism requires such an extreme aversion to so many aspects of reality; the player is rooted in reality so it inevitably has to be acknowledged.

In games where there’s the possibility, I create something akin to Lalafell or Taru-Taru since sexualisation of such a child-like race is, obviously, avoided thus dimorphism seems lessened. I’d love to have character creation that allows women to be masculinised, men to be feminine, either to be androgynous, or any other combination conceivable. After all, so many people make a point about ‘enjoying the game’ so why shouldn’t people paying for it be capable of creating whatever form they feel comfortable with, whether grossly obese or exceedingly gamine. If people are opposed then I hope they're more willing to abide by that principle when others try to enforce preferences on to their sphere of influence. Personally, I think ubiquitous men with triangular chests and women unable to see their feet are 'boring' but I would never support removing that as an option, I just think it's unfair to make such so forcibly prevalent or to restrict choices.

Because Fat people can't jump around and look awesome, they just look, well goofy. Please look here for examples:

Fat people just don't make good ninjas. Sorry : (

Tell that to this guy:

One of Bruce Lee's former students, FYI, and a big, fat SOB.

Didn't stop him from being an amazing martial artist, though.

To all the people saying no fat chicks.

Why is it okay then that guys can be fat but girls can't? Female characters don't purely exist to be fanservice, to stand around and look pretty, for the guys.

I'm sensing a really nasty double standard here.

Yes they do. The only reason they have females in games is so 12 year old boys can think they could score with them.

I knda get what your saying, personnally I'm kinda unsastified by how many scrawny chicks there are, and I can get the other side of the argument too.

In any case, it would probably be beyond a programming nightmare for BW to completly change the type 4 body into what your talking about......

S ho about a comprimise (and my preferance)? Include a type 5 body, for men it would be like an extreme bodybuilder, and the female be an extreme hourglass figure (WAY beyond the hourglass figure of type 4)!, either that or a muslechick/Amazon body type ( I noticed that type was missing too....)!

There is a "fat chick" option, option 4.

That's about as fat as can reasonably be expected for someone who's constantly running around and fighting. Any bigger would be ridiculous. The male option 4 is already too much and should be removed. I hate how many quest givers Empire side seem to be using this body-type, especially when they're part of the Imperial military. Someone that big would not be serving with the armed forces.

You obviousy have never seen female rugby players. Also, NFL linemen weigh over 300 lbs and the Male 4 model is small compared to how those guys look (think Sumo).

Not that is the thread for it, but I find it amusing the the male models have a smooth crotch, it's especially bad on the male 4 model; who knew all the Jedi were Yentl?

And he's a cool looking guy to boot.

I think the right person can be cool regardless of body type or looks. I could see really liking a smuggler chick that was sturdily built - think V.T. from the Cowboy Bebop episode Heavy Metal Queen.

As far as fitness for adventure goes, I was able to take Rooster Cogburn seriously in the new version of True Grit, and he was depicted as overweight, out of shape, badly aged, and perpetually drunk or hungover (not that Jeff Bridges is any of those things).

Moral of the story, more body types could add depth to characters without making them implausible, so I would welcome more builds of all kinds.

I just have to throw this out here...And I am only posting this because I have served with the military, stationed at multiple bases and cross branch service...

I have seen way to many of our armed forces to not argue the case of the in shape servicemembers. In the navy, and especially Army there are pleanty of overwieght (and sloppy) members. Usually they are at a desk and are not monitered, I know the Navy is pushing these guys/ and gals out, but the army seems to hold on to the big ones for instructors for weapons, or teaching. Air Force has pleanty of overwieght airman, but again they are behind a desk.

So the part about not serving in the armed forces (if they are big) is a preconcieved notion. Service members just have to rely on the tester to mark him/her as a pass on the Physical training. So they do exist and are quiet numerous in our own service, now imagine if we have food from different WORLDS! omg they be fatter! (joke)

Add option 5!!!

There is no way to add a BBW model that some girl will not see it and cry that the devs are making fun of her.

Let's avoid a terrible lawsuit, shall we?

There is no legal standing for a lawsuit to win. There is bad press though. But if somebody is that depressed about how they look that they "see themselves" in every fat person in game, she needs serious mental help.

After serving 10 years in the Air Force, I can say body type 4 is what most females there have. Not fat, but not skinny. Perfection. Any larger than that does not make sense for a character who runs from one side of the planet to the other.

Oh. My. Stars. By that standard, we're going to need to get rid of Body Type 1 too. It could be quite triggering to recovering anorexics or bulimics. Lets get a lawyer for that too. In fact, we should get rid of Body Type 3 while we're at it just in case we have any players recovering from steroid abuse. Everyone roll a 2!

Don't get snarky, you know it's true. Take Body 4 for men. Throw a wig on him and make the chest area bigger. Got that picture in your head? Looks a little bit too much huh? Now imagine if a plus size girl saw that. She'd probably feel like that's what the Devs see big girls as. While there is nothing wrong with being big, it would still hurt a lot of feelings when the "big girl" model looks too ridiculous thanks to the art style of the game. Current Body 4 for females is fine. She's big enough for you to know she's a healthy gal, but not big enough so some dilweed decides to be funny and says "Oh I thought that was the Death Star, but it turned out to be your big butt!"

I'm not trying to be mean. I honestly love big girls. They are way nicer than the skinny ones and they usually understand my Star Wars humor. But after seeing body 4 for guys, I know adding that body type for girls is just a time bomb for some overly "concerned" parent to see, freak out and call for Bioware's head. We already have religious groups crying about "gayliens". Let's not get a group of mothers in a frenzy too.

Fine, sheathing the snark sword. :p

I will admit that Body 4 for men and Body 4 for women is disproportionate, but I have to agree with previous posters that it is the male body that needs fixed and not the female body. Not because I think that if they made the female Body 4 as fat as the male Body 4 that a lot of big girls would throw up their arms in outrage at the way they're being depicted but, rather, I agree that the amount of physical activity the characters do in the game should not allow for such obese characters. It seems unrealistic (regardless of whether or not it has been done in previous games).

But seriously, if you do follow the logic that big girls are going to make a big stink about being portrayed as big, then I do think you should and would have to consider by that standard they could also feasibly worry about Body 1 being triggering to recovering anorexics and bulimics.

I agree, the male should be toned up (or is it down?). When I went after the General on the Black Talon, I expected General Skywalker, not General's Fried Chicken.
