  1. When i click my desktop icon the game launcher opens so big i can move it to where i can click or even see the play buton. Is there a way to change the size or scale of the launcher window? Thanks
  2. Transfer wont bring me back, Super servers will not bring me back. New zones will not bring me back ether. The only thing that will bring me back will be cross server tools! Swtor needs to get uptday with the modern age mmo market. Game like world of warcraft and Rift are adding cross server tools as fast and they can develop them and swtor is sinking in the mud with there old fashion server community concepts! Rift has cross server chats on their pts, wow has cross server open world zones coming. MMO ( Massively multiplayer online) I want to play wit has many other people as possible not be limited to a small gated community! Swtor fails at MMO!
  3. Swtor is not successful on any front. First financially...Before t his last earnings call PR spin the numbers were 500k to break even (that is just to pay the bills). 1 million to make a profit that as BW themselves said it would be nothing to write home about. Offical numbers for last earnings call was 1.3 million and that was padded by free trials and the free 30 days people. Actual paying subs could very well be lower than 1 million. The recent announcement of layoffs proves that BW is not making a profit. Second is the game successful as a game... If the game had been marketed as a single player game then i would label it a success game play wise. But as a mmo flat out failure. There was zero use of lessons learned from other games in in the market. 5 years to develop and get rel4ease right and they still fell into the common trap of opening to many servers to cover launch hype. Lessons learned should had told them that this was going to be a issue and they had FIVE years to work on it! Like it or not the mmo genre has turned towards larger cross server communities. This should had been part of the plan from the get go. graphics that IMO are sub par for a late 2011 release. Character customization that is also subpar for this time frame. This includes character creation, barber shop tools and lack of appearance slots. Face it.. SDwtor was released into the current market and they have to compete for market shares against games that have all these tools now. Regardless of if those games had those tools at their release or not they do have them NOW in the market that swtor has to compete in. The whole server issue floors me that they act like they did not see it coming. This could had been handled in several ways. My idea would had been to not have any permanent servers for the first several weeks and open temp servers as needed to handle launch hype numbers. After that ever one gets a free transfer to the perm server of their choice. The perm server list would had been published on the server list just not open so people would have weeks to plan on where they would end up. Giving players the ability to plan ahead to be with friends and guilds that came over. That is just one idea i am sure some one smarter than me could come up with others. But the fact is that NOTHING was planned to handle what they should had known was going to be a issue from the start. This whole game is a failure to learn from other peoples mistakes.
  4. cross server tools are the only thing that would make me re sub to this game. To many other games i can play that are keeping up with the times for me to waste money on this outdated game.
  5. The reason given during beta was that the devs felt that if you could see the reward before completing the quest you may not do the quest if the reward was not some thing you wanted. agree or disagree if you like but that was the reason given to us beta testers
  6. I dislike this idea. Mainly due to the pvp outcomes effect the entire server. Your pvp play style should not effect the entire server/faction! PvP play is no more important than pve play. Give faction wide bufs due to pvp outcomes sends the message that pvp play is more important to the faction. Make the pvp outcome bufs pvp based not pve based, Do not gate pve zones behind the pvp out comes and i have zero issue with it. Pvp and pve should be kept as far apart as possible!
  7. This was the mass effect mmo.. Bioware just put a star wars dress on it. When i left this game i decided to try out the mass effect games ( i had not played them prior to playing swtor). It was flat out amazing how similar mass effect was to swtor! light/dark points are paragon/renegade points. Chairs you cant sit in, romance scenes that are just black screen cut aways, comvo wheel... the list just goes on. Awesome games awesome story lines just like swtor.... And just like mass effect when the story is done there is little reason to play it again!
  8. You know i have played wow for many years now and not once have i had loot waiting for me just because i logged in! Matter of fact the hardmode raids in wow make the raids here look like loot pinata's. Even Rifts current top raid zone makes swtors seem childish (yes even on nightmare mode). So you shouidnt go throwing stones when you live in a glass house.
  9. Far to much pvp ideas in your post for my to support it in any way!
  10. First thing OP pvp and pve should NEVER be mixed! Keep your pvp as far away from my pve as possible! Next Op i as you can tell from my join day have followed this game for many years and NEVER once was this game promoted as a mainly pvp based game! I was promoted as a story driven rpg mmo. Based on a Purely single player non pvp game (kotor 1 and 2 have no ability to pvp single it they were SINGLE player games)! Frankly it is your type of player that ends up destroying good games with your demands for pvp. Do what you want on pvp servers but pvp on pve servers should be limited to strictly instanced battle grounds and pvp should NEVER have a effect on the game world on PVE servers!
  11. As i said before it goes beyond even... My account was inactive for the last 2 days. Today its active with the free 30 days. Nice way for ea to pad sub numbers. No action on my part and they turned my account back on. Wonder how many inactive subs got turned on with out any ones request.
  12. Regardless of what others have said the 30 days free time has in fact keep other wise cancelled accounts listed as active. Mine for example. The free days eligibility starts on the 12th my account was cancelled already but my game time didnt expire till the 18th. My account is still listed as active with no recurring sub. notice just says your game time will be ending soon. On the 24th i highly suspect my cancelled but still active account will be credited 30 days play time. That makes my account and many many others still available as active for the investors call list. The 30 days free time and the TIMING of if is clearly a play at keeping even cancelled accounts listed as active to boo9st the may investor call numbers. As far as my call on numbers... Realistically i place tor at about 700k players that actually still play and not the ones sitting on cancelled but still active accounts.
  13. Yes i want it i feel any mmo on todays market needs to have cross server grouping tools. My account here is cancelled until Swtor get up to speed with the current market on such tools.
  14. If you are talking about doing away with hard targeting then i hope swtor never does it. Most western mmo players prefer to be able to actually target stuff not have to line up a reticule in the center of your screen! Sounds like your talking about a target system like tera has and that one thing will stop any mmo that tries such a system from ever being main stream.
  15. I really dont like it. Seems like a lot of time invested in some thing that would only be viable on one of the server rule sets. As a pve player i do NOT want your pvp mixed into my PVE period! On pve servers pvp should have ZERO effect on the open world!
