  1. Huttball for the win! Now we need more Huttball maps!
  2. Yes. I never played SWG, and never heard about how great it was the whole 7 yrs I played WoW. Then I come here and everyone acts like it was the best thing since sliced bread. Well, if it was so darn good, why the heck am I finding this out only now!? (No really, why am I only finding this out now? From what I hear it sounds like I would have loved that game... sigh).
  3. Yep, was subscribed to WoW on day 1 and played a Dwarf Paladin. Kept my subsription active until 2007 and then on and off since then. Now I play only SWTOR.
  4. All I can think of is "Tyranid infested Death Star".
  5. Yep. I do not like the new hotbar animations at all, they are confusing. Want he old ones back, or an option to revert to the old ones. Thank you.

  7. I think that very difficult RE is the whole point of the system. It takes so long and is so expensive to get that one perfect purple schematic that it makes it impossible for any one crafter to get them all. Only the truly dedicated crafters will be able to get those rare recipes, and the idea is that then they will make and sell that item. That's the theory anyways. Of course the problem is that the rest of the crafting process is so easy and painless that it feels kinda weird to mindlessly grind out a purple recipe, and luck is far too much of a factor in such a system.
  8. Well, everything else aside, I hate how the prequels managed to travel through time and destroy my childhood's favourite movies. In no particular order: R2-D2 can fly. R2-D2 and C3P0 already know Obi-Wan. Anakin was not the best starfighter in the galaxy, rather he just says "whoops" all the time and wins the day. Darth Vader is not really a serious bad*ss, rather he is a misguided whiner who can be easily tricked into violently murdering children. Darth Vader did not hunt down and destroy the Jedi, the matchstick droids did that. The Force is not an ancient religion from legendary times, rather there were thousand of Jedi just 20 yrs ago! The Jedi and the Force have nothing to do with mysticism, belief or training; rather it is all genetics and based on midichlorians (can you say "master race"). Lightsabres are nothing special, kids get them at age 5. Luke was not too old to begin the training because he was in his early twenties, rather he was too old to begin the training because he was out of diapers. The clone wars was not a war, it was a one-day skirmish, mostly involving droids and jedi. Lightsabres are not only a Jedi's weapon, droids have them too! Other really stupid things: On Naboo there is no news service or independant communication capability to "prove" there is a blockade. In any case the Republic doesn't even bother to look into it, despite the fact that the elected leader of an entire planet is making a plea. On Naboo they elect their queens, and a 14 yr old can win the election. Said 14 yr old queen hides guns in the armrests of her throne. Wookies like to hide in trenches, but only up to the moment the invading army arrives, then they like to jump out into the oncoming blaster fire. Luke and Leia's mother didn't die in some tragic way, she just willed herself dead because... I don't even know why. Anakin's mom is the virgin mary. Really Lucas? Virgin births are apparently pretty ordinary because no one bothers to comment or mention it again. Nobody bothers to go and free Anakin's mom from slavery, despite the fact that her son is a living prophecy and saved an entire planet from invasion. Greedo shot first. ________________________________ Really, I know that the first trilogy weren't the greatest films of all time, but back in 1977 that Star Wars film blew everyone away, it was just so much more awesome then anything that had come before it. By the time the prequels came around it was just another run-of-the-mill CGI action flick where story is an after-thought, there was just nothing special. I mean in 1999 we had The Matrix, Boondock Saints, Toy Story 2, the Mummy, and Galaxy Quest; all of which have better reviews than Ep. 1. I mean, if you can't get better reviews than an action comedy starring Brendan Fraser, that's just sad.
  9. IRL: I am engineer, I build and maintain bridges. In-game: My main is a Bounty Hunter, my alt is a Sith Sorcerer. Why? Being a bad guy in the game is a fun way to relax and do crazy stuff you would never want to do IRL. Also, Jet Packs are cool (go go Jet Charge!)
  10. You obviousy have never seen female rugby players. Also, NFL linemen weigh over 300 lbs and the Male 4 model is small compared to how those guys look (think Sumo). Not that is the thread for it, but I find it amusing the the male models have a smooth crotch, it's especially bad on the male 4 model; who knew all the Jedi were Yentl?
  11. It's a great idea, but I think it would be very difficult to implement. Also, it should not be automatic, for example my Jedi is very evil and totally dark side (not that my Jedi master seems to notice) but he also hates the Empire and would never join. Along with faction changes, DS/LS choices should have a much larger impact on your story line: for example the Jedi I just spoke about should really get kicked out of the Jedi order, I have killed far too many innocents and continually lied to every one - that would be an awesome story line to play out.
  12. Totally agree, the levelling process in this game is ridiculously fast. An option to lower xp gain by 10-25% would be great.
  13. Why do we even need a keybind for this function? What bug or ticket is so important that I must access this function with all speed? Please get rid of this key bind.
  14. Hail to the Emperor! More importantly, hail to you fanuvstarwars!
  15. /signed The companion system should be expanded so you kill or abandon the ones that you don't like (seriously, I can't kill Tyresius! what the heck!). I also agree there should be generic companions you can meet and acquire in other ways; Thana is an obvious example. I am sure though that BioWare is going to do something like this in the future.
  16. Well, there are three things that make a RPG story arc interesting: 1- Story (and SWTOR is very well written for the most part, very enjoyable so far). 2- Challenge (some of the fights are built up and meant to be challenging, if I can just cake walk through the story loses punch). 3- Reward (Getting a fancy new item from a quest, along with the feeling of having earned it, is a uge part of all RPGs). Also, lesser XP gain would be a toggle so that only those that choose to enable it are affected. Of the dozen or so MMOs I haveplayed SWTOR has by far the fastest progression, which is a real shame as it also has some of the best crafted story arcs.
  17. I may be in the minority here, but I would love to have an option to enable slower xp gain. The game has so much to offer during the levelling process, each planet has very interesting story arcs that are a joy to play through. However there isn't much point in following an entire story line if you are 5 lvls over its content. By the time I hit Nar Shadaa with my BH I was already lvl 26, I arrived on Tatooine at lvl 30, and got to Alderaan at lvl 32 (and in each case I skipped a lot of quests in order to not level too fast), I was far too high levelled and it killed any challenge I might have gotten out of non-heroic missions. So I did only the class quest on Alderaan and then decided to go to Taris at the correct level. Well, I am about halfway through that planet and already I am lvl 36, what the heck! Also, I stopped doing PvP, Space Missions, and Flashpoints due to the fact that the xp gain there is also high. Please please please add an option to lower the xp gain so that I can enjoy the content you obviously worked very hard to provide me with. Thank you.
  18. After testing this build extensively last night, I can honestly say I am amazed. No other build allows you to play equally well in a drunken stupor or sober. A masterful feat indeed, well done sir!
  19. I really want macros so I can bind Actions and Emotes with the /say or /yell command. It makes RP so much more fluid.
  20. I am enjoying the game too! (Crazy, I know). I actually wish that they would slowdown the pace of levelling because I find myself having to miss entire planets just to keep the encounters challenging. However, I plan on revisiting those planets with my alt later.
  21. So you finished the game. Good for you. Now go play another game. Really, I can't think of anything else to say.
  22. Although I have to say that I am enjoying the BH story tremendously (Taro Blood must die!), the Jedi Sage story line is pretty awesome too.
