Agreed, my commando is ten ranks higher than my powertech and has less pieces of WH, because I tried to heal on her in Champ/BM against teams of premades in full WH. Until I switched to dps I got 0-1 medals per match, from rank 64 to rank 70. It's why I don't even play her anymore. Some specs are just useless until they have full, augmented WH. People say BM is fine. Recruit is fine for OP classes, but classes that need love? You can still struggle in full WH, because the enemy team is all OP FOTM. Don't tell me healing commandos are fine. Fine against baddies sure... that's not fine.

Sorc is fine. Mara, Rage Jugg, and PT Pyro are OP. Merc, even Pyro, is worse off than Sorc. The OP ones need toning down to Sorc level and Merc needs to be buffed with more utility.

Yes that was stated after I moved half my characters and rolled new ones to fill out my Legacy, oh, hey, now we're gonna close the old one and it's not an option anymore. Ajunta Pall had three choices for servers to move to, my server had only one and it's full. I have characters left over. Bioware just proves again they don't care about customer satisfaction. I bet they'll just delete the leftover characters to see how many people unsub. I have zero faith that Bioware will do the right thing by us anymore.

Self-cast hotkey, learn to love it. Using cleanse is still usually useless though.

Exactly. Would you queue for HM Lost Island in fresh 50 greens or even purples? I didn't think so. Gear grind is a mechanism to deliberately slow content progress, and that means unless there's a corresponding gating system, it's useless to implement. In this game, pve content has a gating mechanism with access prevented to higher and higher tiers of content, but pvp content doesn't. In this game, pvp content consists of 4 maps that everyone plays. Therefore, pve needs a gear grind but pvp is badly served by having one. Ranked warzones are not effective as a tier of content, because there's not enough population to ensure that top geared players compete in ranked rather than fighting recruits. It's like if Rakata bosses decided to pop into level 50 story modes. IF they implemented a pvp difficulty gating system based on gear and ranking, then gear grind would make sense. You would fight enemies of equal gear for your gear category, and getting better gear would open up a higher ranked category and hopefully better quality play. However, to implement gating in pvp, you need high enough populations that the gating will work - this means much higher server populations and/or xserver queues. Gear tiers are only well served with corresponding difficulty tiers, which limit and gate access to the content of higher tiers. This is why pvp needs a level 50 bolster and pve doesn't.

My amormech is the opposite. I also gather zal in the open world at about 2x the rate of durasteel. Almost never have to send my companions out for zal alloy. Slicing missions get purple augment parts now, well worth it. If I remember correctly, found artifice schems drop from treasure hunting not slicing.

I'm beginning to think they put the date into the randomizer somehow. Some days *everything* I RE will give a schem within 1-3 tries, other days can go 40+ and still nothing.
