    Matchmaking...

Because Bioware doesn't have any arena, it's doing metrics testing now for beta of f2p. They need to set up single class wzs in order to view the performance of various classes against other classes. Anything that stands a hint of a chance against a team of warriors gets nerfed.
  2. He's inspiration for the Purple Jedi and that'll have to do, even though we're not canon.
  3. Ranks don't have feminized versions in this universe and I'm glad for it. That does away with the "female" version sounding weaker through our history of complete oppression of the female. Warlady would sound menacing if it brought the mental image of Morrigan, Boudicca, etc, rather than the mental image of someone darning socks on the battlefield while waiting for the Warlord to come back to the tent. Calling women by male titles is as close to equality as many men can understand. Otherwise it will always be assumed the female is weaker.
  4. Your clothing options later on have mostly silver metal decorations, no gold. Have a guildie who went gold and it just looks odd at 50 with all the silver and black.
  5. *Sigh* Yes please. And not with christmas lights on it either.
  6. If you like to pvp then take a couple of days to do only pvp and get some battlemaster, then start queuing for the HM flashpoints for daily BH comms and pve drops. It'll go a bit smoother than recruit and you won't be as sad to see another person in the group get a drop you wanted.
  7. So it only needs one missile per circle there? I've hit it with tons and nothing happens. Urg. What was the mission that needs emp and ewp to complete?
  8. The crit bonuses are worth more than the efficiency over the long term. This thread is a great guide when planning out your alts: http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=132015
  9. I've tried to do Polith Minefield about 40 times now and just can't kill the carrier at the end. All level 5 purple upgrades, power converter with power on... It's like the missiles don't even hit it at all. Do I need proton torpedos to do it or what?
  10. Commando will be useless for running intercept role, will have to send someone with a leap or pull plus stuns.
  11. I bet the OP doesn't even have a level 50 yet and is complaining about pre-50.
  12. I bug reported it a while ago, hope the fix makes it in soon.
  13. Simple but effective technique for making dps play smarter - let them die. Best used after asking them to give you a few seconds to build threat, and with a good healer who will support what you're doing. If they keep blasting big moves and pulling just about the same time you do, then they can face the repair bills. Note that this is the only occasion where I advocate tough love.
  14. The reason is very obvious. They ask their kids about how the game works instead of playing it themselves. *eyeroll* Somebody's kid plays a marauder. It's the only possible reason why marauder/sent isn't nerfed yet and every other class gets nerfed harder every patch. "Daddy, this mean pyro killed me wahhhh!"
  15. You can only save up 3500 rwz comms, plus 2000 reg, buy your mainhand, take the mods out and put in an offhand, then go buy the war hero mainhand... Where a single weapon wielder has to buy both straight up.
  16. Coturnix is that colour-matched? Still very white if so.
  17. You might want the ones with power, not alacrity. http://www.torhead.com/item/13RoioB/battlemaster-relic-of-boundless-ages
  18. There are several simple brown skirts that might go well with that chestpiece. Brown with subtle brown design: http://www.torhead.com/item/4UOciPC/cerebral-battle-lower-robe Be warned it looks completely different on Republic than the icon here. It's NOT pink! It's the exact same brown as the Force-Master chestpiece, with a darker brown line down the front. (Looks like this one http://www.torhead.com/item/g1W4jcm/enlightened-jedis-pants but all brown.) This is your best bet. Plain cream with brown ring at bottom: http://www.torhead.com/item/3ajmrjm/force-evangelists-legwraps Might also be Traditional Nylite (crafted) if you don't want to spend pvp comms. I couldn't tell from the Empire icon, sorry. Brown with darker brown sides: http://www.torhead.com/item/5gc9rNp/jedi-sages-lower-robe The sides might be hidden enough by the chestpiece. The level 40 pvp lower robe might be nice when colour-matched to brown also, but I think the designs on it are too different a style. Good luck!
  19. Even if unbound you'll need 5475 ranked comms for each armoring. At 120 reg comms for a win that'll be... 137 games won per armoring. So about a month just to get one.
  20. I was exactly, and I mean exactly, in the middle of the small circle and someone intercepted. Was a nice *** moment.
  21. Bergeren Colony - RP-PVE 1. Regular WZ's - How do you feel this aspect is doing currently on your server? The guilds that cheated for gear crush everyone else and make it take even longer to gear up unless you're lucky to be on the side they're playing that time of day to get your daily done. 2. Rated WZ's - How do you feel this aspect is doing currently on your server? Apparently it's only used to gear people faster via win trading and not often for the intended competitive purpose. Big fail. 3. World PvP - How do you feel this aspect is currently doing on your server? Pretty awful. For an RP server there isn't much community creativity going on. My guild isn't big enough to spearhead this and I feel not popular enough after speaking out against win trading. Random OW-PVP is pretty much only gankers who force flag others, that's just not cool on an RP-PVE server. Occasionally stuff happens in the Black Hole but not often. I don't really care, if you want that roll on a pvp server. 4. Class Balance/Changes - With some tweaks already made, and a few coming in the 1.4 update, how do you feel about PvP and the current class balance? They've improved healer-to-healer parity on paper and I look forward to testing that out. However tank and dps still need better balance and the nerf to powertech/vanguard is a little strong especially since there wasn't a nerf to marauder/sent. The range nerf brings tech tanks out of parity with force tanks and they were already slightly lower in usefulness to ranked. Now they need another defensive cd to be in parity again (unless the range nerf is reversed). For dps, parity is abysmal. Everyone can name it: mara/sent > jugg/guardian/assassin/shadow > sniper/slinger > sorc/sage/powertech/vanguard > operative/scoundrel > merc/commando. (As of current 1.4 pts.) Notice how most of the force classes are at the top and most of the tech classes at the bottom? By parity I mean usefulness overall - when one class is good at something, another class of the same type brings something different but of equal value to the team, but all can perform their intended role. It should just take different tactics and add variety to gameplay. 5. Server Stability - How healthy is the PvP playerbase on your server? There's a big core group still after GW2 which is a relief. Skill level is varied but I'd say decent overall. Most strong pvp players play both sides, and that means our faction balance is pretty good. We also have a few different times of day that have a healthy population, not just west coast prime time. 6. Guild Stabilty - How healthy are active PvP Guilds on your server? Seen an increase, decrease? Or perhaps consolidation of a few guilds into one guild? There are several smaller guilds struggling to field ranked teams, no idea how the big guilds are doing. All the smaller guilds need to join me! 7. How do you feel about PvP as a whole in SWTOR? Comments, recommendations? There needs to be more focus on fun play and less on gear. What could help this if the dev team insists on having a gear gap is having a recruit training arena with 4v4 deathmatch - but you have to bring healer, tank, and 2 dps. These games would reward a small amount of commendations and credits but could be done in 4-5 minutes. It would help not only the gear but the skill level, as teams could dissect the match after and see what to do better next time. Stats could be adjusted to recruit gear values while in the arena or some gear matching would pit teams of similar gear power to fight against each other. Or guilds could field two teams and fight each other. That would give people a way to train for team play while still getting comms to gear up without doing anything shady to get them. Recruits could get training instead of being dumped into top end warzones vs premades with top gear immediately. In pve, there's a difficulty progression to go along with their gear progression, pvp currently doesn't have anything like that. You wouldn't take a fresh 50 into HM EC, you do HM flashpoints first. The pvp arena would be the equivalent of HM flashpoints for pvp: gear up, learn teamwork together in a smaller and more manageable group, then graduate to more difficult content as your gear and skill improve.
  22. I think we should all get a treasure chest in ingame mail for every 10 legacy levels with a bunch of cartel coins and title unlocks. Plus extra bonuses at 30, 40, and 50 like pets, adaptive legacy gear that looks the same on both sides. (so your darkside Jedi can wear his ancestor's Sith robes, or your lightside BH can wear something that looks suspiciously like awesome trooper armor...) Not the option to buy the cool stuff, but inherited in a treasure box.
