  1. Only a side-note, but several people have tested this and verified that the armor penetration given by the skills in the different trees is not simpy added up. In fact, 73% is the correct result - not 90%. Be careful when accusing ppl to post false information... ;-)
  2. At the German Video-Games-Convention gamescom 2012, Gaming Insight held an interview with the German SWTOR Community Manager Lars Malcharek. Among other things the CM stated, that regarding class-balance, the Powertech / Vanguard would be subject of some changes. I tried to translate the relevant part of the interview as literal as possible [sorry for my English]: Q: 'Will there be upcoming class-balances?' A: 'There will be class-balances, as always, because we constantly monitor the balance. How massive these changes will be, I can't tell right now, they should not be too harsh though. What I can tell, because I myself was affected as a gamer, is that the Powertech and his 'jedi-counterpart' [he doesn't remember the mirror AC's name there] will be forced to enter melee-range more often than before. This is, because both AC's wear heavy armor and carry 'big guns' [sic]. To compensate that, they should get in danger more often. At the moment, the Powertech can safely position himself pretty much in the rear with some skills and therefore we did some minor changes. These are the biggest changes I noticed so far, that some skills were tweaked in a way that you have to be in melee range more often. Since you are in melee pretty often right now, those changes won't make such a big impact though.' to the interview (in German).
  4. Whoa, that's some hefty crit rating! Most pyros/vanguards I know stopped at around 35% buffed crit and switched to improve power and aim - I even struggle to get it beyond 33% buffed in full WH (aim augments only). I found jedilace.com quite helpful.
  5. Thanks for the input! Lowering my accuracy to 95ish will give me some wiggle-room to bring both surge and critical to around 300. Whether the stat gains (reaching quite hefty diminishing return values) will make up for the loss of accuracy only in-game-experience will tell.
  6. Thanks for the hint! This is me (without stim). The wh relic is still missing, but this will be a question of one or two days. By fiddling around with the possible augments on askmrrobot I found out, that replacing all aim ones with power augments in fact does seem detrimental for my damage output. The question remains: Is 98.36% accuracy too much even for an assault vanguard?
  7. With two pieces of War-Hero-Gear left to acquire, I was wondering what final stats you guys are shooting for? Is it more beneficial to go for Power in your augment slots, or for Aim? I did a little search on the boards and only found controversial opinions about that. Furthermore which mods would you advise to replace in my set - e.g. would you trade in Accuracy for more Surge and Power? I run a pretty standard heat-optimized, aim-boosting 7/3/31 assault-spec and do PvP only. Thanks! My (unbuffed!) stats with mostly aim-augments in WH-Eliminator-Armor: Aim 1549 Endurance 1492 Ranged: Damage 736-898 Bonus Damage: 411.9 Accuracy: 98.36 Critical Chance 26.61% Critical Multiplier: 74.07% Tech: Bonus Damage: 725.9 Accuracy: 108.36% Critical Chance: 30.58% Critical Multiplier: 74.07%
