MoarPowar
Those that haven't quit. I have several long-time friends that are quitting, and it sucks because I at least hoped this game's PvP would entertain until the summer months. It's that bad. And then you have the ones that are BM (which is many of the hardcore PvP'ers at this point), a lot of them have stopped bothering with dailies; some because they don't want to deal with people leaving wz's / wins not counting, making it take 6-9 wins for that one daily for a box that probably doesn't have a BM token, a 2-hour job is what it feels like. It's different when you're doing it for champ bags, because champ is a significant upgrade to your PvP capability, and you get a lot of champ comms. Once you're BM with your champ gear though, BM is such a marginal improvement over champ (compared to champ vs cent), and a marginal chance for a BM token for all of that tedious so-called 'PvP', well, you can understand why there's fewer BM's bothering. And I know already some of you are going to say "gg, go outside battlemasters". It doesn't take that much to get to BM. If you've been playing since launch, it's been 2 months, regular nightly pvp for a few hours would have gotten you 60+ by now.

Treplos
Many of my friends and guild mates left already. It's just 3 in my guild now, down from 30. Most of my remaining friends are just logging in for the dailies/weeklies. The only problem is that due to the wins not counting, some are not even bothering to log at all. I only got 7 days left on sub anyway and it does not seem BW are interested in fixing the broken core functions in this game. Manigma
Yes I am, but that's what you generally do in MMOs isn't it? Open PVP has always been a terrible experience in games i've played just boring zerg vs zerg, I login to do some warzones and collect crates! Scalare
Completely agree! Make BM more powerful compared to champ, guarantee a BM Commendation in every bag (just bump the price) so we no longer depend on RNG. Really 1 commendation in 21 bags, not cool. And last, add a third tier at valor 80 with a unique bag as well. You're completely right, the hardcore pvp crowd is pretty much done and is now on the way out. bicuspid
pretty much do our dailies, then maybe a couple more with our premade, then go play other games the only thing is that we are forced into playing more now because half our wins don't count and half the time we get into 8 v 11's which is hard to win my sub is already canceled, so they got about 3 weeks before TOR is shelved. and like most players once I give up on a MMO its over forever This game was so lucky in that it had 2 things going for it: 1) Star Wars IP / Bioware's reputation. 2) No other games coming out to compete with it during the last few months. #1 will only get people to buy the game, not play it forever (and people already leaving). #2 is going to change in the next few months as there are at least 3 or 4 games coming out, any of which will blow this out of the water Edited February 9, 2012 by bicuspid

Buddy i couldent agree more with you. I actually made a post yesterday explaining that. All these people who think the game is great. My 15 years experience in MMO's tells me this games PvP system is terrible, and far greater options exist. Why people defend it to their wits end is beyond me. If it bring you fun then leave the forums alone. Let the people who wants changes post about what bothers them.

Angelfeeties
It sounds like you're not enjoying the game at all, yet you're still addicted to the gear acquisition. I personally really enjoy Huttball and Civil War when I queue with friends. Win or lose, they're usually really good games, fun and entertaining. When I queue solo it can become a bit of a pain, especially if our team has no healers and people start chain leaving. If you despise the game this much, then cancel your subscription until Bioware makes changes that will bring you back. I definitely do not consider myself a Star Wars fanboy, but I can't deny that I get plenty of casual enjoyment out of the game, everything from PVP, leveling characters for their individual story lines, datacron hunting, etc. If you are only logging on to do your dailies and then logging off, it doesn't sound like this is the game for you. You actually have to be able to enjoy playing the game for the sake of playing it, not just constant and never ending character progression (it's called end-game for a reason). You might be happier moving back to WoW, Rift or waiting for GW2.

Also there isn't really any alternative that I haven't played or haven't completed. I'm happy to keep playing my sub atm because they do add new content (albeit slowly) I still enjoy warzones and playing with guildies. The problem is there is no long term goals to reach, it's not a MMO that has a wide range of activities at end game- also the class system is too rigid with a lack of viable combinations to play with. You actually have to be able to enjoy playing the game for the sake of playing it, not just constant and never ending character progression (it's called end-game for a reason). You might be happier moving back to WoW, Rift or waiting for GW2. The problem with your argument is that PvP is only fun when you're doing it with friends you already have. By itself, for the solo player, or the player who joins a guild but doesn't know the people that well, the pvp game design itself is not strong enough to retain players interest, it's not exciting enough by itself for players to stay long enough to forge new friendships and become a group of friends PvP'ing. And even then, you and your friends are turning into an exception, because a lot of my long-time MMO friends are gone already. A guild of 40+, and I see 2-7 on at primetime now, a few who have flatout said they quit, and others who just disappeared. This PvP will get tedious even for a group of friends just casually having a laugh now and then, because it is repetitive and predictable. People that are criticizing are doing so because they have paid money for something and as customers they have a right to voice their opinions, as well as some are doing it to help the devs steer the game's PvP design to a salvaged state where they can retain the PvP base. If you want to put your head in the sand, that's your prerogative. A lot of people do indeed come here because they just got outplayed and want to QQ for nerfs; but many come here to voice valid criticisms of game design in hopes to add fuel to a fire under the devs butts to save all servers from becoming light pop with 2-hour queues and ghost towns. Devetate
You hit the nail on the head! Pay attention Bioware, people will leave and it will be hard to get them back! Galvatron
Well I paid for 6 months up front just because it's Star Wars and Bioware. But the fact is it's like they have stupid is and stupid does for the pvp dev team. We don''t hear from the pvp dev team at all. They have none of the fun things DOAC or Warhammer had in it. I honestly don't know what they were thinking with Ilum. It's sad indeed for the pvp players.
fungihoujo
OP, you chose the wrong title. Your thread should be titled. "Gear grinders are just logging in to do dailies at this point" PvPers log in to pvp, that doesn't change from level 10-50. Anyone who quits due to gear isn't a pvper, they're a gear grinder. Bulde
All true. Seriously BW. The OP couldn't have said it any better. The upgrade between BM gear and Champ gear is extremely thin. Therefore...you should not have to burn through 20 or so bags to get 1 piece of gear. Nuff said. Fix soon plz or later.

Errthu
Like 25 bags - 1 BM commendation. Think I'm not gonna repay my sub. Bioware, play casino for yourselves. Yesterday I saw a level 63 guy in full bm without relics. And I am level 73. Nothing to do in the game, except 2 quests which give me ...wait, NOTHING.
