  1. You know, I don't have much of a problem with the game. Some technical issues and content stuff not withstanding. But I have to be honest, I find these types of threads just as annoying as the hateful ones. I don't understand why people feel the need to force their opinions to the front like this. Does it make people feel they are right? I'm of the opinion that if you don't like the game, don't play it. If you do, then get on and play it. It's all just personal preference. That's all. The devs aren't gonna close the game or sit in a corner crying if no one pats them on the back. And to be honest, this game was released in a poor state and there are still many totally valid complaints with the game. If and when they fix them, I will join in with back patting. but like I said. I don't hate the game, but it could be a lot better. Can we maybe just stop these "OMG this game sucks" or "OMG I love this game!" type threads? They are both annoying and don't serve any real purpose other than flame baiting. Just my opinion.
  2. You mean the numbers you just made up? Well no not really because you, as I just said, made them up. (aside from the 1.3 subs part)
  3. CVG is the oldest gaming publication in the entire world. I don't always agree with them but they really do know what they are talking about. And it sounds like your spyware alarm is broken.
  4. "SWTOR is still amazingly fun for the vast majority of people! " Don't mistake your own opinion for fact. Why are these threads necessary? I personally find them just as distasteful as the hateful ones. People have different opinions, some like the game, some don't. Why do you and others have a pressing need to force your opinion and insist everyone else agrees with you? Why does it matter? If you like the game, then play it and be happy. If you don't then play something else. Simple. As long as you are happy then what other people enjoy is meaningless. Just like this post.
  5. GW2 by a country mile. Been playing the last two days and it is utterly superb. I was only waiting for that to see if it was worth keeping my sub on SWTOR. Decision made.
  6. I've been playing it since last night and it's absolutely superb. Some tech issues in regards to performance but it's to be expected as it's very CPU bound. But as for gameplay, it is absolutely top notch.
  7. Nobody called it fact, simply a reliable source. The oldest gaming publication in the world always has my ear. But I wasn't taking either side. No need to be uptight.
  8. Just saw this on CVG. http://www.computerandvideogames.com/343845/ea-poor-battlefield-3-old-republic-performance-result-in-layoffs/ "and Star Wars: The Old Republic, which received similar treatment and has supposedly already seen subscription numbers decline, are big contributing factors to the cuts." http://startupgrind.com/2012/04/exclusive-electronic-arts-set-to-lay-off-500-employees/ This one is a bit more in depth. http://articles.marketwatch.com/2012-02-02/markets/31029084_1_ea-shares-earnings-report-unit-sales This seems to be more focused on the stock from EA and seems to lean both ways. It seems EA have had a poor financial year due to BF3 and SWTOR. I have found this on several other sites, it seems to be reliable. I don't want to start a flame war or an "I told you so" thread. Instead, I was wondering what people would like to see to maybe improve the player base. I am one of the people that is on the fence, I have around 90 days or so left on my sub but am, as of yet, not convinced to renew it. Following the new "world event" (which I though was good mostly) maybe this is the way forward? So lets hear it, what would it take (for those that aren't sure or maybe have already cancelled) to bring you back? For those that are already commited, what more things would you like improved or added? Lets try and keep it on track and pleasant ok? Ok, weigh in.

  11. Sounds like you would be well suited to GW2. Gear means a lot less in GW so you may find PVP much more to your liking.
  12. Nope. Just generally find people that make comments like that are about 12. And it's usually in a CoD vs BF arguement.
  13. You sound like one of the "CoD 4 life" type people. Are you around 12-15 years old?
