  1. Bravo! Applause! Ovation! Seriously, very cool story. My first, a son, is due in about 2 weeks. Can not wait to indoctrinate him into Star Wars geekdom! The video of you guys playing is classic, her smile says it all!
  2. Absolutely not, just because you are on an RP server doesn't give you the right to grief another player.
  3. OMG Bioware, don't listen to this guy, hes just upset that he didn't get a pony. Don't change a thing, the game is perfect!!!
  4. I thought I was going nuts, I knew this changed but patch notes said nothing about it. I agree, why stealth change something that was working fine?
  5. So Narrowed Hatred is a good PvP talent to spec into? I am at 97% regular as it is, so I have very little to go.
  6. Cause all the other titles don't looks just as silly? Darth, Lord, Blah blah blah great hunt blah blah, pilot, hot shot pilot, etc... Get over it.
  7. Current build: http://www.torhead.com/skill-calc#100bIrRroMcGzZhGb.1 Question is how important is Accuracy in PvP? I was told that the priority was to get Accuracy to 108% then focus on Power/Crit/Surge. I believe Kibas Mara guide also states this. However, I have seen quite a few builds ignore Narrowed Hatred in lieu of other talents like Subjugation or Defensive Roll. Seems to me that the less you miss, and the more defense you ignore, the more dps you will ultimately put out, or is this flawed thinking?
  8. Until the nerf bat hits, then I bet you will be rerolling. Gotta love FOTM players.
  9. I don't know if comparing it to TM/SS is a bad thing. I had a lot of fun in the Tarrren Mill / South Shore days, a lot of people did actually.
  10. Because there are those that help out others because it helps the game and the community, and there those that b**ch and moan on the forums offering no help whatsoever, only adding drama. Which one are you, OP?
  11. Wrong sir, I am opposed to the romance options in an MMO in all forms, hetero or otherwise. I have said this in numerous other threads as well, and you would have seen that had you even bothered to do a little research BEFORE calling me out. I have ZERO problem with anyones sexual orientation, none of my business. First you assume I had no problem with the Flirt options until your thread, then you assume that it's because of the same-sex portion of it. Had you done your research and not assumed then you would have clearly seen that I want a toggle to remove ALL flirt options, not just some. In my opinion, they are stupid and have NO place in an MMO. Assume much? To quote your own post: Once again, the diverse and tolerant player community shows its beautiful, shining face.
  12. I am aware of companion gifts. If you read you would have seen that what I don't want are responses removed or over-written that could gain me affection all to put in a flirt option.
  13. Actually it's totally related. However I did start a new one.
  14. Mass Effect didn't have the companion affection / crafting mechanic. Bad troll, back to your cave.
  15. No but I believe responses like this are that of a troll who didn't read nor comprehend what I was saying. Have a nice day.
  16. To the Dev's: When you add more romance options in future patches, please give us a Toggle to turn off this "feature" completely. Many of us do NOT want these in the first place. Personally, and I am not alone, I see no place for all the flirt/romance options in a Star Wars MMO, but if others want it that is fine. However, for those of us that do not want these options at least give us the ability to turn this off entirely. While there are those who want and enjoy these [Flirt] options, there are just as many of us who do not need nor want a "dating" mechanic in our MMO's. This is not a dig, just the truth. Some of us see this as useless and trivial, and does nothing to enhance gameplay. It's bad enough that as it is I might lose a response that would otherwise gain companion affection, so please do not make it so I lose even more by putting in to many of these; Or give us a toggle to turn off flirt options entirely; Or make this option an RP server only option, as this feature really is only for RP purposes. Thanks.
  17. Please do not flood the game with flirt options, some of us do NOT want this. I see no place for all the flirt/romance options in a Star Wars game, but if others want it that is fine. However, for those of us that do not want these options at least give us the ability to turn this off. While there are those of you who want this option, there are just as many of us who do not need a dating mechanic in our MMO's. Not a dig, just the truth. Some of us see this as useless and trivial. It's bad enough that as it is I might lose a non-flirt response that would otherwise gain companion affection, so please do not make it so I lose even more by putting in to many of these; Or give us a toggle to turn off flirt options entirely; Or make this option an RP server only option, as this feature really is only for RP purposes. Thanks.
  18. It's a numbers game, I've been playing the numbers since D&D PnP gaming. Some people just like to play their class(es) the best they can. Has nothing to do with bragging. Combat logs do help in this regard.
  19. Fixed for you. No thanks necessary.
  20. Valentines Day = Hallmark Holiday = Price gouging the romantics. My wife and I don't acknowledge it at all. Just another way for retailers to mark up prices and make money. I'll probably be playing while she watches her DVR shows.
  21. Not really. I have been playing MMO's since Underlight, an old RP game from MPlayer/Lyra Studios that most of you probably never even heard of. That game was not gear based at all. In fact, not all MMO's are based on gear progression. Asherons Call was not based on gear progression. SWG was not based on gear progression. Guild Wars was not based on gear progression. Just to name a few that some of you may have heard of. It wasn't until WoW that gear progression became the "norm". Personally I think it's one of the concepts that has ruined PvP in MMO's. Open world PvP in Asherons Call was exciting every night. No gear rewards. Open world PvP in SWG was exciting every night. No gear rewards. Open world PvP in WoW PRE-BG's was exciting every night. No gear rewards untli BG's came. Now-a-days PvP in most MMO's is a grind. A mindless, annoying grind where your skill means little and the gear you have means everything. Thats not PvP, its GvG.
