  1. Anyone remember the Honor system in WoW vanilla? Of course not, it wasn't there at launch. Remember the promises made pre-release about the Honor system, and how amazing it would be? When it finally ended up in the game, what did it turn out to be? Anyone else getting my point?
  2. So YOUR expectations were not met meaning that the game as a whole sucks? What flawless logic you have.
  3. Seriously, how many of these posts do these forums need? Every single point you laid out has been made, ad nauseum, in countless other posts. You are beating a dead horse, along with your fellow forum soap box counterparts. Bioware is aware that the PvP community feels that PvP is broken right now, in fact we ALL get that thanks to endless posts like these. Not sure what part of this you people just don't get but here it goes again... Either it will or won't be fixed to your liking in future patches, and only time will tell. If you don't like the state of PvP right now (or any other facet of the game for that matter) then unsub and come back when things are to your liking; or go to another game entirely. It's really that simple. Can we all move on now please?
  4. Ever notice that the same names are posting the same crap over and over again? These forums represent MAYBE 5% of the games population, and the ones whining consistently are MAYBE 1% of that 5%. So in essence these forums represent the minority of the player base. So, asking questions like this is a total waste of time considering the audience you have.

    50 Bracket Sucks

To all the folks who power leveled to 50; to all those who rushed through all the content so they could be the first 50's on their server; to all those who wanted to get to end game ASAP; to all those who wanted 50 so they could faceroll low levels... Enjoy your lvl 50 bracket. The rest of us are having a blast.
  6. Make sure you thank "that other MMO" for the concept of PvP gear progression. All those who said how great that game was are now seeing how it actually ruined MMO PvP for anyone that does not have the time to grind out PvP gear.
  7. @Midasear Bravo sir, well thought out. I especially like your ending with Padme getting injured by Obi throwing Maces saber. That would drive anyone to the dark side. Too bad Lucas didn't think like this. That ending also gives Obi more of a reason to lie to Luke in A New Hope. After all, he in essence would have been inadvertently responsible for Anakin turning and Padmes death. Not something I would immediately admit to the son of one of the most powerful Jedi/Sith to ever live.
  8. Episode 1: Introduce Anakin and Obi. Show some Jedi training scenes, some action scenes with Anakin showing off his prowess. At the end have Anakin meet Padme, briefly. Episode 2: Brief, short scenes of Padme and Anakin establishing the union, but not focusing on it. Lengthy Clone Wars scenes, reminiscent of the animated series, jedi fights, space battles, etc... End movie showing Anakins seduction to the Dark Side almost complete. Episode 3: Vader being Vader. Hunting Jedi, bashing rebels. Vader in all his glory.
  9. This is just ... lol Im pretty confident we as a country are over the whole Stamp Act/War for Independence/Down with England thing; we have much bigger fish to fry in our own backyard. I'm also pretty sure we villianize everyone equally in our movies, including ourselves. Lastly, I'm very sure England most certainly did not make America "what it is", but thats a topic for a whole other type of forum. Kudos to you for the laugh though. Really not sure if this is an elaborate troll, or ... just a giant lol.
  10. Jaesa: Keep in mind the Jedi order teaches detachment, and frowns upon attachments. So she could have been so detached from her parents, master, etc.. already. So much so that their deaths, while sad, did not have the impact that they would have on someone who was not taught detachment. Also, another post said that, in essence, you freed her from a life of servitude and gave her a life she now enjoys, and is encouraged to have attachments; you being her savior and obvious first attachment. So it does make some sense, from a certain point of view. Quinn: Ya, he shouold die. I kill all traitors on my Sith, why should he be different? From a game mechanic view point though, it would leave us down a companion. Maybe BW will be putting in a new story line that revisits this, and gives you chance to kill him while gaining a new companion? Time will tell I suppose.
  11. I loved SWG, but I probably would not return unless they updated the graphics engine and eliminated rubber-banding PvP. I remember the game with such fond memories, I would not want to ruin it. Went back to play X-Wing -vs- Tie Fighter about 10 years after it came out, and the poor graphics just killed some of the great memories I had of that game. I do wish that BW had implemented some of the concepts in TOR though, like: OW-PvP Crafting Entertainers Space Combat Player Housing/Cities Player/Guild owned faction bases Just to name a few.
  12. SWG = Sandbox = Player controlled stories, content, and gameplay. All open world PvP, player controlled economy, player controlled cities. The questing system was lacking and not very engaging, more of a grind style game, but very open ended. It had the best crafting system in game to date, totally player controlled. More open ended space combat. Actually flying, not on rails. SW:TOR = Theme Park = Less player controlled stories but a more robust questing system and story line, a semi-player controlled economy, lack luster crafting system, instanced PvP, minimal open world PvP. Less grind style more story driven. Not as open ended, more linear. On rails space combat. I loved SWG and am really loving TOR as well. It's not like comparing Call of Duty to Battlefield, those games are so similar it is easy to compare. SWG and TOR are so different in concept not sure how you can compare.
  13. You sound like the "kids" you keep referring to, and yes, you do sound like an *****. Honestly, you should go back to WoW. It's a story based game, unlike WoW, so why would you be here in the first place? Oh right, to "own the kids"
  14. That would be a loss of $2,248,500.00 based on a sub base of 150K @ 14.99 per sub. That means that much less resources to fix issues people are having, so most likely your AA issue would not get fixed and you would be back here QQ'ing about yet another free month. Lots of people have issues, so be patient. And if you don't want to pay, then unsub.
  15. Incorrect, I am not running 4 cores, and I have a consistent 80-100 FPS everywhere but the Fleet, which drops to about 40-60 depending on population.
  16. EXP gains are fine. Roll other classes, play other story lines, experience all the writers and developers put into the game.
  17. So basically you are saying that these premade folks are "griefing" you by there playstyles and their comments. So you want to know how you can "grief" them so they stop queueing up. The irony. And now I can't get back the 3 minutes I lost from reading this post. ugh.
  18. I'll play along. Me this summer at Howe Caverns: http://i1262.photobucket.com/albums/ii617/Lividcalm/howe.jpg Me playing SW:TOR this last weekend (wife was taking picture of our kitten): http://i1262.photobucket.com/albums/ii617/Lividcalm/gaming.jpg
  19. Agreed. It's pathetic enough that the forums are in an uproar about same sex relationships, or lack thereof. Saddens me that a hot button topic in a STAR WARS game is homoerotica. There are plenty of dating sites for you lonely folks out there. Just saying.
  20. Commendations are not ruining the economy, over inflated prices are. It's expensive leveling up. Repairs, new skills, crew skills, etc... Not to mention that I am not going to spend a ton of credits on a piece of gear that is going to get replaced in a level or two anyway. Maybe if crafters started putting items up at REALISTIC prices it would change. But as long as people are putting up sub-par items at 10,000 credits when I can go get a better piece for commendations, why would I spend credits? Commendations make it easy to keep your gear current while saving your credits for other things that you really need.
  21. I personally don't think that Sith/Jedi should be given an option. Dark for Sith and Light for Jedi. The other non-force classes should be given Dark/Light options. Just my opinion.
