  1. I have less issues on single target tanking but I do agree in general that Jedi Guardians need some love in tanking. Mostly in AOE tanking and some increases in default mitigation to be higher to match vanguards and shadows.
  2. It depends on your advanced class and spec. If you are dps then Doc is definately the better choice for everything but trash mobs. If you are a guardian tank, then Kira is pretty much good for everything but the tougher mob pulls (usually like 1 gold mob with extras or 2+ Silver Mobs) or bosses. Even then it's a matter of your gear and kira's gear at that point. On my level 50 guardian, I find myself using Kira 75% of the time now that I have both Kira and Doc maxed out on Affection. She makes killing stuff so much faster.
  3. Funny OP, while your at it you may as well tell that to all the other MMORPGs out there and regular RPGs as well. It's a basic fact of the RPG genre, expect to see some reused models for badguys.
  4. Exactly, so I expect this to be more along the lines of something for a future expansion if nothing else. Any new companions will also probably be acquired in that expansion and will be available for all classes, I.E. something like HK51 for example.
  5. Ummm...Revan may not be dead. He vanished before the finishing blow could be dealt. If anything I think Revan will be instrumental in the final defeat of the Emperor. Not only that but don't even bother factoring level into this. Your characters are already amongst the elite at that point in the game and a whole team of elite soldiers and sith should definately be able to take on Revan alone. Remember Revan never did the things that he did alone. He had people with him that help him get the things he did done.
  6. I'm with Kira so I'm technically more his wingman in helping him with women and getting him out of trouble than anything else.
  7. Yeah, I was doing great damage in PVP as my pyrotech powertech. DPS is good and while most of the big damage moves are more melee based, you have some range moves so you aren't limited to just trying to stay in range.
  8. And that is why level 50s are being seperated into their own bracket.
  9. /signed. They really do need to change the Jedi Knight's PVP armor. It looks stupid as hell.
  10. I agree. My Jedi Knight Guardian is level 46 now and level 50's with expertise still dominate me. I ran into the same problem you had with a level 50 powertech with alot of expertise just score repeatedly on huttball because we could not stop him easily. If anything, I don't think it's being level 50 that causes the problem but more along the lines of expertise. I think reducing the effectiveness of expertise would solve the problem as well.
  11. I'm sure she was quite 'evil' in the bedroom.
  12. A server only LFG tool will work wonders for this game I think. WoW's cross server LFG tool pretty much killed WoW in my opinion.
  13. I think it has more to do with the trooper is more 'real' and has skills that aren't out of the realm of other normal people due to training. The Jedi's ability tend to be more tied to them being born with their mystic mojo and seem more unnatural. Of course some people think that if their force abilities are nullified or countered, they are pretty much easily taken down. In most cases this is true for your average Jedi.
  14. Watch what he was killing. It was mostly players lower than level 50. We also don't know the amount of expertise that jedi guardian has but that also is a factor as well. A level 50 with high expertise is going to pretty dominate any other character than level 50 without any expertise. I should know, it happens all the time to me in PVP with my lower level characters against level 50s in PVP gear.
  15. One thing I do suggest doing is getting the power conversion module ASAP. It really makes some of the missions so much easier as you will have stronger blasters and will be able to easily switch modes to have your shields regenerate quite quickly during the more quiet periods of the missions.
  16. Actually Mace Windu did know Palpatine controlled the seperatists. Dooku was the apprentice and Palpatine the master. Dooku was the public leader of the seperatists but had to answer to Palpatine so that essentially makes him the leader of the seperatists.
  17. Considering said orange is a gathering profession, it definately shouldn't be making more than the other oranges/gathering professions. Slicing was making credits more easily and faster than the other gathering professions could.
  18. My smuggler is making good money right now. He's at level 22 and is just above 40k credits right now after buying some things I need. So he's doing quite well and much better than my Jedi Knight at that same level where he is a cybertech crafter. Hell, I'm still making alot of money selling schematics on the auction house. A few augments here and there and gathering nodes in various areas. I would be sending crew members out for more augments but I find that they don't sell nearly as well right now. I think some people just feel entitled to having credits basically just handed to them for free pretty much.
  19. And here is where your example falls flat. Slicing is also a gathering skill. On top of sending people out on missions you make money from gathering slicing nodes, lockers, safes, etc. Would you have preferred to have had the gathering aspect of the profession gotten rid of so you can rely on nothing but the missions for income? Bioware wanted it to remain a gathering profession and so nerfed the profitability of the mission aspect of it. Personally, I think it should remain nerfed but something should be done to allow for augments to be used more. I.E. allowing the crafter for each type of gear to be able to make an augment slot for that type of gear they make.
  20. I had difficulty with the sand demon on my jedi knight guardian in the stress test beta because I was 2 levels lower than it. But now with the official release and plenty of time to play, I found it quite easy because I was actually overleveled to it by 3 levels and was tank spec. Like any boss fight, it becomes a matter of using your cooldowns wisely and interrupting with anything available when needed on the big powerful abilities.
  21. I find it funny that people expect big returns from the sending your crew out on missions in addition to the big profits of finding lock boxes and other slicing nodes in the world. You don't get both. That was what made slicing overpowered in the first place. My smuggler alt is making good earnings off of slicing right now gathering slicing nodes. It's not like he's making what people were before the patch but he's making more than what my Jedi Knight main was making with his cybertech.
  22. She's obviously close to knighthood herself if she was sent to go along with a newly promoted jedi knight. I think at the most it was pretty much just helping her fine polish her skills and help her with the more philosophical stuff.
  23. Yeah, the Jedi Knight storyline is pretty good so far. I just finished Act 1 and I found the storyline to be pretty good. Some of the Jedi Knight's lines are pretty hokey but other than that it's a solid storyline. It starts off slow but gets momentum when you get to Coruscant and finish it. I found the Bounty Hunter's story to be pretty good so far and I liked the Smuggler's as well. I haven't tried the soldier yet but that is next for me.
  24. The only gathering you should do for your crew skills should be the missions skills like diplomacy, underworld trading, slicing, etc. The other gathering skills that you can level up through gathering like scavenging, archaeology, etc. should be leveled mainly through actually going out and harvesting the mats yourself. I occasionally do send my companions out on missions for higher level crafting mats that aren't on the planet I'm currently on for a new item but that's only like 2 to 3 missions.
