I agree with the op, THOSE ARE GREAT IDEAS. But they also need to implement an open PvP which actually HAS A PURPOSE! Grinding valor is not what PvP is about. We need sandbox planets, or at least something similar to Wintergrasp in WoW. Also, have the coming rating system make open world pvp meaningful making kills count towards the rating. I and my entire guild (over 30 people) unsubscribed because of poor customer service and inexistent PvP. Make us change our mind and resubscribe. This game has great potential, stop turning it into a bad joke.

Unfortunately everything I foresaw in this thread, Ilum-wise, is happening. Reps are deserting the planet. Although Imps cannot get inside the base anymore, they camp Reps just outside the door. It is impossible to get out of our base. Ilum was and still is a bad joke. The few people who still have nothing better to do than logging in to go to Ilum move out as soon as they are done with the daily. The daily is usually completed thanks to those PvE boxes you loot in the center as there is nobody to kill. PvP is MEANINGLESS and it will be even more meaningless as soon as everybody caps top rank and gear. BW you are on the wrong path. YOU NEED TO GO SANDBOX for open world pvp!!!! Update: The news is that Imps have found a way to get into our base anyway and farm us with ranged fire. Good job Gabe, this is WAR over and over again... when are we going to get down to 4 servers in total?

Very well written. Make this thread a sticky and let Devs address all the concerns expressed by the OP. If they do that, this game will be great. If they don't, the game is dead in 3 months. My biggest concern is the lack of purpose in Open PvP. Even if Ilum worked, and obviously it doesn't, why people would go there once they capped top rank and have all the gear? Ilum is just a camp/zergfest that lasts as long as people have done their daily. Open world PvP does not exist at all.

Dear Gabe, If your team is really out of ideas, just copy and paste Wintergrasp from WoW. I know it is not ideal, but compared to what you came up with this Ilum zergfest, WG is awesome. If you are up for making sense of this game, implement a third neutral faction to which only level 50 Imps can have access. This should balance out population. Lore wise it can be a bunch of defecting Imps who turn against the Sith code. And for future PvP planets, just go sandbox. Good luck

They could have designed Reps as cool as Imps. They could have designed Reps as efficient as Imps. They could have designed a PvP area which has purpose instead of this brainless zergfest. They could have implemented 3 factions intsead of 2. They could have done many many things to favor balance. Yes, it is the designers fault, not ours. You are a liar. Trion did a rollback and stripped all thei exploiters of their gear. It happened within a few hours of the exploit. I was there, I saw it. The problem with PvP in Rift is that it is just a zergfest with no purpose, exactly like in TOR. The PvP community warned Trion of this, but they decided to stick to their vision and PvPers left the game. The rest is history, with Trion merging servers on a regular bases due to lack of players.s The same thing will happen to TOR, becaue BW developers are deft to the community and think PvP is just about zerging.

Anybody who knows the abc of finance and market knows that most of it works on speculation and "the feeling of the day". Even if this thread and all the complaints about the game were completely made up, they would still affect the company in a very negative way. EA is going to be hit by all this negative posts. I am curious to see what the ripercussions on the game will be. Will they abandon it, as it happened to WAR? Most probably, yes.
