  1. Not if it looks like s*** Goodwill threw away. Go play Republic and tell me how awesome looking gear they have.
  2. I think this entire thread is a joke. Really, OP is afraid players will mask their superb gear with junk? Since when is that forbidden in MMOs? Newsflash, peeps are already using crafted Rakata gear with augment slots + crafted orange weapons + certain pieces of orange armor in both PvE and PvP, if done right, it's a far better option than the current PvP gear and 550+ Expertise. I'm more worried about the fact BW is forcing players to use orange gear to stay competitive, it ain't like we have tons of options to choose from already - Republic Jedi outfits are mostly made up by the color white and/or different tones of shi.... I mean brown, looking like something Goodwill thew away.
  3. I was just about to say that. It is a bad thing when it requires you to look a certain way. It ain't like we already got tons of options to choose from, Republic Jedi outfits all revolve around the color white or different tones of shi... I mean brown that looks like stuff Goodwill threw away. Screw BW's own early concept art, everything canon and even Luke and his all black outfit, after all, he was just the main protagonist of the original trilogy, no biggie. Taste is like the arse - Divided. I'll take this over some s****y colored leather gloves/pants/boots any day: http://img849.imageshack.us/img849/7274/screenshot2012021907055.jpg Oh wait, I won't be able to. Hugs and kisses, BW
  4. Underlining the point made by OP.... We could have simple remodeling and color dye tools, you know, like most MMOs but no, BW just had to reinvent the wheel - and did a lousy job at it.
  5. Well, considering most bugs from beta can still be found ingame I would call this a beta, lol.
  6. There's more to it than Zen. The trick is to figure out the fine line between critical melee hits and non-critical melee hits. What is strongest, a flat melee damage gain that hardly crits at all or slightly weaker melee damage that crits more often, thus harder? A Sentinel bud of mine /w me earlier tonight and wanted to know why I haven't modified my BM gear even though I have replaced all mods with 61 STR ones and accuracy enhancements but one with power/crit/surge - he was upset that I haven't stacked more power/surge taken from the Scoundrel gear. I told him, I need my crit too. I don't care that he has 30 points worth of melee damage higher than me although I'm close to 1800 STR and he has way less, I crit more often and it's needed too. As it is right now, I'm gimping myself with some accuracy, but that's cause I'm having fun crafting Rakata gear with augment slots, the only thing left to do ingame - I wanna hit 1900 STR and see what it can do. I'll probably grab another power/surge enhancement once I'm done although accuracy has it benefits too. Yet it doesn't change the fact that stacking power alone won't do you much good just as stacking crit alone won't do you any good. Is power and its linear gain to prefer over crit and DR? Yes, but it doesn't change the fact you need both to be on top. Both complement each other and that's the way it should be. Edit: Another thing to consider is that power works in mysterious ways and does not have the same affect to abilities across the board. While an X amount of additional power can make an ability do 50 more damage another ability might only see a 10 damage increase. This is where I would like a combat log but by the look of things I'll probably be playing GW2 before we see one.
  7. I care. Secondly, 2 months is an eternity in MMOs, especially when such highly anticipated titles like GW2, Tera and The Secret World are just around the corner.
  8. Level 50 dailies - Takes an hour to complete for me. If you're having a hard time completing them my suggestion is to drop a level or two and farm there till you're properly geared up. Or even better, do Warzones, Champion bags are pretty much free nowadays.
  9. Then again, you don't need neither for PvE. PvP? Again, neither, go with the superior 15% Warzone Expertise Adrenal instead.
  10. Gotta love how they added the letter 's' to abilities like we don't know we're talking about seconds. Or the fact that if you choose to not display milliseconds you still see red text displaying '0.0s' before an ability goes off CD, lol.
  11. GTX 880 Ultra. Or ATI HD 12280. Both out Summer 2015.
  12. Here you go son: https://beta.guildwars2.com/resend
  13. I used to demand a combat log but realised TOR is too carebear to need/want a combat log. Sure, it will help some minmaxing by confirming some theories but for the most part we really don't need no combat log. I know I don't. Even Hello Kitty Online is less carebear than TOR. Sad but true.
  14. GW2 open beta is just around the corner followed by its launch, Tera goes live May 3rd, The Secret World goes live June 19th etc. They are all highly anticipated MMOs that will make TOR bleed subs. Not to mention other decent titles in the horizon like C9, Blade & Soul, Dragon Nest Online, Neverwinter and so on. More importantly, TOR is not the MMO peeps return to, that game is titled Pandaland.
  15. Riposte and Blade Storm are both a waste as Watchman. They might come in useful, but for the most part they're not worth the focus cost.
  16. You are not the center of the world, sir, I happen to like korean MMOs and so do many other players. See? There is a market for both. While I betatested TERA over a year ago and think it's just OK, saying that GW2 shows "a little promise" just goes on to show how little you know - especially now that the press NDA was lifted on monday and everybody are praising it. MMORPG.com, Massively, Kotaku, GameSpot etc all love it, couldn't get enough of it and say it is the game of 2012, the MMO we've been waiting for years, and a breath of fresh air when compared to stupid let-me-hold-your-hand tunneled themepark MMOs like SWTOR. Don't take it from me, take it from an united game press and non-press players who also got to play last weekend. And as I was writing this, my Galaxy S2 went ding -> you got a new e-mail and tada, sign up process for GW2 beta is here, lol. CU
  17. Don't worry, I'm out the door next month when GW2 goes open beta followed by its launch. TERA goes live in May, The Secret World in June and so on. This is the part where you tell me and others good riddance. Just remember, SWTOR ain't the game peeps tend to return to, that game is called Pandaland.
  18. I'm pretty sure OP is a troll. Compare SWTOR to most major AAA releases since 2006 and they all had more features at launch than SWTOR. Even F2P MMOs beat SWTOR to this, you know, cause at least they have a guild bank, lol.
  19. I did. Still not displaying any text, rather annoying.
  20. Doc's quest was supposed to be fixed last Tuesday. It wasn't. Nor will it be fixed this time around (next Tuesday). So, when will it be fixed? It shouldn't be hard to track down the bug within last week's fix that is preventing players from finishing the quest.
  21. Is it now possible to change the color of the GCD? Blue on top of blue (icons) is hideous design - peripheral vision can't tell s*** apart.
  22. You make no sense. Go cap a turret and have someone hit you. Tell me you didn't get interrupted. Is it the action that interrupts you? Or the damage? According to pretty much every MMO on the market it is the damage. According to the history of MMOs it is the damage. Damage taken does interrupt normal actions, period. Personally I don't care if it was applied right there on the spot by having someone hit you physically, over time or by shoving a fist up your arse. Welcome to the wonderful world of MMOs.
