  1. They said it's something they're working on for a future patch. They're also looking at the possibility of merging legacies in the family tree (e.g. you can have another player listed as your spouse).
  2. The companion buffs are obtained by completing all quests for that companion.
  3. It's not the only option. The better solution is just to flag the immediate vicinity as indoors.
  4. Stuff that requires credits: ship upgrades transport perks Stuff that does not require credits: family tree unlocking species unlocking class buffs unlocking companion buffs unlocking alignment buffs unlocking heroic moment abilities unlocking new speeders unlocking emotes unlocking bar brawler abilities unlocking dances On the tooltip will be listed Unlock Requirements and Purchase Requirements. You do not need both. If you don't want to pay the credits then you can do what is stated under the Unlock Requirement.
  5. Outer ring of the GTN. http://dulfy.net/2012/04/06/guild-bank-and-vehicle-achievements-in-1-2/
  6. http://dulfy.net/2012/03/27/legacy-system-in-1-2/
  7. Your Heroic Moment is that buff every class gets at level 15 that heals you and your companion for 2% every 3 seconds and has a 20 minute cooldown. e.g. Channel the Force or On the Trail
  8. No, completing companion quests gives you the companion buff (eg plus crit and presence). Unlocking new Heroic abilities requires finishing the class story for that class.
  9. On the tooltip will be listed Unlock Requirements and Purchase Requirements. You do not need both. If you don't want to pay the credits then do what is stated under the Unlock Requirement.
  10. That means the only things you tried were ship upgrades and transport perks. You did not try: family tree unlocking species unlocking class buffs unlocking companion buffs unlocking alignment buffs unlocking heroic moment abilities unlocking new speeders unlocking emotes unlocking bar brawler abilities unlocking dances
  11. The only things that require both are ship upgrades and transport perks. Everything else is achievement or credits.
  12. BW said if the color isn't available to match the chestpiece, it will pick a complimentary color. e.g. If that specific model for boots was available in white, yellow and black, there is no orange available for an exact match, so the artists chose white as the best compliment.
  13. Break out the midichlorian tricorder. Malgus is over 9000, etc.
  14. You can put strength or aim armoring mods in your light armor. However, the amount of mitigation given is determined by the armor type (light, medium, heavy). So putting a Trooper mod in your armor won't increase your mitigation.
  15. Traditionally, softcap refers to the point at which diminishing returns start, independent of what other stats you might have. Example using made up numbers: Stat /Stat percentage 20 / 1% 40 / 2% ... 280 / 14% 300 / 15% <---softcap 320 / 15.5% 340 / 16% ... 480 / 19.5% 500 / 20% <-----hardcap 520 / 20% 540 / 20% In this game, DR is a continuous curve that starts as soon as you put more than one point into any single stat. So there is no set softcap; it's all relative to your other stats.
  16. They said at the summit they expect 1.2 in "early April".
  17. Yes, but they said they're adding new, lower-level sabers.
  18. Most of those are either/or. You can level a Pureblood to 50 or reach legacy level 8 and pay 1.5 million creds to unlock it. Though, a few have been confirmed as requiring legacy level and credits to unlock, such as the ship GTN.
  19. Drop Qyzen for the LT as soon as you finish Hoth. Iresso can use better weapons and his range means hitting mobs faster.
  20. You only need to finish your class story for Ilum. You can do Belsavis as soon as you hit 50.
  21. Player 1 does PVE and gets two pieces of gear a week. Player 2 does PVP and gets two pieces of gear a week. Player 3 does PVE and PvP and gets four pieces of gear a week. If all gear is the same: Player 3 has an advantage over Player 1 in PvE from doing PvP content. Player 1 is forced to PvP even if they don't like it in order to stay competitive. Player 3 also has an advantage over Player 2 in PvP from doing PvE. Player 2 is forced to PvE even if they don't like it in order to stay competitive. So the gear is separated such that PvE progression comes from PvE and PvP progression comes from PvP.
  22. DPS should only be able to do damage if they have a teammate giving a debuff to the same target. DPS have absolutely no right to damage by themselves.
  23. The last sentence contradicts the rest of the paragraph. The healer's tiny damage output is reduced by expertise the same as every one else. The DPS gains the same defensive bonus.
  24. ALL stats give an advantage. If you remove expertise from gear, the better geared player still has higher overall stats and thus, still has an advantage. People who single out expertise are not seeing the big picture.
  25. 3) Consider THREE players with 0 expertise: a DPS hits for 1000 damage, the defending player takes 1000 damage (ignore other Damage Reduction for now, please). The defending player has a healer teammate, who must heal back 1000 damage to keep the teammate alive. 4) Now, again, the three players, two with 500 Expertise, one with zero: a DPS hits for 1100 damage, and the defending player takes 1100 damage. The defending player has a healer teammate, who must heal back 1100 damage to keep the teammate alive. Because the player is taking MORE DAMAGE because expertise improves damage. The "unbalance" you see is NOT HEALING. It's that the defending player has a chance to negate your improved damage through IMPROVED DEFENSE.
