  1. Pretty much all my reasons stem from one single, huge problem: A DEAD OR DYING SERVER. Very long PvP queues and getting groups for FPs take forever if they happen at all. Result is frustration. I won't pay for that.
  2. I'm not a big fan of the argument that making these RE'd schematics difficult to learn somehow helps low levels and helps the economy. All it does is create a frustrated customer. Letting a crafter get the blue and purple schematics would only help a servers economy. At least on the server I am on, it is slim pickings trying to find blue or purple mods. Let the market determine the prices of those items. The materials for the purples are hard enough to get and makes them rare enough. Making those schematics a pain to get does nothing for the economy.
  3. Make it so that your crew skill in relation to the item level affects the chance at learning the new schematic. For instance if your crew skill is 400 and you are RE'ing a level 15 green item it would be higher than the straight across the board 20%. Nothing more frustrating than making 20+ low level green items trying to learn the blue schematic and coming up zeros.
  4. People are confused because they took something that was working one way and changed it to work another way. The search for "Any" in the Rarity dropdown actually means "None" when nothing is in the name field. To avoid all this confusion, the "Any" option needs to be changed. I sell implants on occasion and it became very apparent that this change affected how many were bought. That, and the constant questions in general chat on fleet asking why there are no implants and earpieces on the GTN.
  5. Is the GTN broken? No. Did they change it's functionality? YES. I think that is what most people are complaining about. They took something that was working one way and changed it to work another way. Also, and some might call this broken, the search for "Any" in the Rarity dropdown actually means "None" which is what they should change it to, to avoid all this confusion. I sell implants on occasion and it became very apparent that this change affected how many were bought. That, and the constant questions in general chat on fleet asking why there are no implants and earpieces on the GTN.
  6. How is this a foolish complaint? And why do so many who criticize the people who point out the cost of the legacy items always say that everyone wants it free or with no work involved? Pay more attention to what they are saying. The work involved should be the legacy level which is what most people were lead to believe would be the case. That isn't free. Players are paying for it with their time when leveling up their alts. They are just using their time in game a little differently than the level 50 grinding out dailys. The difference is the level 50s are rewarded with legacy level and credits whereas the "altaholics" are rewarded with just legacy level. __________________________________________________________________________________
  7. A feature where you can add a shuttle to your ship. Your ship's droid can then fly your ship's shuttle down to a planet and pick you up. Kind of like a quick travel to your ship. Put it on a cooldown similar to the emergency fleet pass.
  8. My legacy level is 21. I feel like I play too much. How? By playing the same content over and over again? No thanks. So "QQ'ing" is someone voicing their displeasure with a situation like this? I think not.
  9. What is really confusing for me is how long all this stuff has taken to be released. The game has been out long enough that most people who are going to roll an alt have already done so, therefore the benefits of a lot of these features are minimal. For instance, the added buffs to all your characters after one finishes chapter 2 or the legacy gear token for a level 14 item. I was looking at legacy features to come in the 1.3 update and one of them is a legacy speeder license allowing you to give a level 10 alt the ability to use a lvl 25 speeder. I wonder how many people will have their alts past level 25 by the time 1.3 comes out. I am guessing most players will be past the point of that being a cool feature for them. Maybe I started playing this game too soon.
  10. I don't think he is assuming any such thing. I think the big concern here is that all these credits that could be going into the economy are simply disappearing into these one time purchases. It would be a problem to assume that these help a server's economy to flourish without proper balance.
  11. What is with all the peeps accusing others of wanting everything for free? Because that simply isn't the case in the eyes of most if not all who think the legacy unlocks are a little overpriced and out of reach. There are a variety of factors as to why some people have a lot of credits and others do not, and not many of them have to do with people expecting hand-outs. Most of it has to do with how we are spending our time in-game. Someone posted that those of us who are credit poor are probably sitting around Fleet expecting credits to magically appear. I find that amusing b/c it's probably the ones who are sitting around Fleet doing the LFG thing and playing the GTN that are amassing all those credits. Been there done that. Pass. It's a playstyle thing, and this game isn't rewarding my playstyle. I can live with that since there is enough about this game that I do enjoy. But I still can be bummed that I will probably never have 2 million credits to spend on Rocket Boost.
  12. I agree. I do think my brain needs to be fixed. Many have told me that there is something wrong with it.
  13. I am not saying it shouldn't cost something, although the legacy levels themselves definitely cost a lot of time. What I am saying is that I look at how much all those things cost and wonder how I will EVER be able to afford some of them. I guess you could call it "virtual sticker shock".
  14. You are right about credit sinks and the server economy, I was just wondering what will happen to a server's economy in the short run. For now, they have put so much out of reach for the casual player like me. It was also very unexpected.
  15. I am a little shocked and dismayed by the amount of credits everything costs for all the new legacy features and even the guild bank. 600K credits to unlock the guild bank. Another 600K credits to reduce your quick travel time down from 30m to 24m. 500K credits to get a mailbox on your ship. 1 million credits to get a repair droid on your ship. It goes on and on. I wonder what impact this will have on the economy, at least in the short run. The choice to make the legacy features into this huge grind is puzzling to me. You have to grind for legacy points, you have to grind for credits, and you have to grind for commendations for gear. Games are supposed to be fun not a bunch of repetitive nonsense designed for simple minds. I don't mind working for something or making it difficult to do, but when it becomes this huge grind-fest that is where I really start losing interest. I already have a job, why have a game that simulates another job? I guess they have done their research and they feel that this plays well with the MMO crowd. To me it seems like a misguided attempt to keep subscribers. We shall see how it plays out.
