Please nerf sorcs

This should be stickied, in fact bioware should drop their charade of sorcerer favoritism, and nerf the dps of sorcs after getting hit by a smash by 99%.

 

Also they should add a brand new passive ability. "Force Afinity: When the sorcerer kills a weak target he gains 0.0001% dps increase, when the target is a strong or a enemy Player, the Sorcerer's affinity to the force is cut killing himself."

 

Thirdly to solve the massive problems of Overload, anyone affected by it should get a speed increase.

 

I mean guys this is the only way to balance the game.

do you understand, BW will really nerf Sorcs based on this thread? ><

 

We can only hope so, as they are certainly overpowered now.

 

Our free self-heal every 30 seconds is ridiculous, when we can already use Force power to heal ourselves with innervate or cast a nice long dark infusion. Maybe they could change it to reduce our force regeneration after use like a stack from consumption?

TBH the main problem that makes Sorcs OP is that they are just way too tanky for the amount of damage they deal. They have so much base armor that you can simply facetank snipers and mercs and out-trade them with ease. This is a blatant imbalance and BW needs to correct it ASAP. Sorcs should not have the best ranged DPS, the best heals, AND be the tankiest ranged class in the game - at the same time in the same spec. It's so broken.

 

Anyone playing Sorc is pretty much a FOTM baddie who needs to learn to play a real class that takes some skill. Like a Smash Jugg or a Pyro PT.

You forgot to mention that sorc can deflect :eek: which it's just mad when you have all that armor and defensive cds..

Yep, heck with the recent buff to thrash, if those snipers and mercs find themselves in melee distance of you, well you now got another overpowered move to hit them with.

OMG I knew I wasn't the only one seeing this! Thrash spamming sorcs are simply OP they MUST be turned down a notch. Plis make sorcs take damage when they trash, they are supposed to be masters of the force should hurt themeselves trying to be martial, instead of OMGONESHOTMELEEKILL

Overload: It's not fair that sorcs get a 15meter conal knock back. Distance should be reduced to 10m to bring it in line with the other classes. Additionally, since the ability does damage the area of effect should only be a line the width of the Sorcerer's nose extending outwards. Additionally, since the sorcerer class is supposed to be mystical, this ability should require the sorcerer to face the magnetic north pole of the planet (s)he is on. If there is no magnetic north (or the sorcerer is on a ship, moon, etc or facing any other direction), the spell should fail, incapacitating the Sorcerer for 24,000,000 seconds while draining 1 force and 100 health per second till the Sorcerer is down to 1 health and force, at which point only the incapacitating effect shall remain.

 

Saber Strike: Why are you making melee classes obsolete by giving Sorcerers this ability? Sorcerers should take 150% of damage delt as a penalty for lack of saber specialisation.

 

Thrash: The sith sorcerer is a 60 pound weakling .... how do you expect anything he does to qualify as a "thrash"? Sorcerers using this ability must make a saving roll of 100 to avoid falling flat on their face for something they cannot physically accomplish. Additionally, said Sorcerer should be considered immobilised while a 60 second channeled ability is used to attempt to get back on his/her feet.

 

Unbreakable Will: Like Expunge, this ability should only work on incapacitating and movement-impairing effects caused by force abilities. All tech and physical abilities should not be purgeable with this skill.

 

Force Storm: The Sorcerers in this game already have delusions of grandeur and you give them a power named force storm?!? Next thing you know, they'll be asking you to make it several kilometers wide and disruptive to other force powers! This must not be allowed! Act today and rename this power to Force Lightning Circle, changing its effects to be a self-targetted radial area ability with a radius of 5m from the caster. Aditionally, add a 30s channeled annimation representing the Sorcerer tracing out a magic circle on the ground so as to clearly define the area affected by this power. This will send a clear message about the limitations of the power and ensure that Sorcerers using this ability focus only on the positional aspect of their gameplay.

When teh sorcs will be buffed hardly? :mad:

 

They need ability to wear heavy armor. And both hand mastery also as shield generator mastery. Yeah, it will be great!

 

Static Barrier must receive additional effect (only for Sorc itself) - impossibility to charge to sorc or pull sorcerer with his own Static Barrier (like Cover effect of Snipers)

I read it and was Laughing so hard by the end . So , because he can't kill a Sorc in pvp, he wants them to get a Nerf

Learn to play your Class and stop asking for Nerfs . Any class can be killed , if you know how to play your own class

damn them sorcs, nerf em all and sticky the thread as a warning to all new sorcs!

 

we really shouldn't have static barrier, i for one am sick of using it to save an over zealous dps that pulls threat, he deserves to die anyway.

 

innervate should have a longer channel time and add diminishing returns to it for pve, this is bound to teach those tanks to toughen up a bit.

 

whirlwind should be renamed to spiny fun toy, what more fun is there than keeping some low lvl pub stuck in a whirlwind for 20minutes...

Ideed, best thread ever. Right now sorc is really OP cuz he can heal to full, so why not making dark heal and infusion 6 seconds channeled ? Also making static barrier 1 min cooldown and force speed 5 mins CD xD
