  1. Bump! any info on this @JackieKo? its a really annoying Bug alternative Band Aids, that are obviously a worse solution and should only be used if there's no way to fix the bug: reenable Duels in all OPs/create convenient self-stun-zones in front of each and every Boss-room.
  2. sometimes = when you get your first Stack. 2nd and 3rd Stacks are without chuckle thanks to some complainers. I couldn't play the Class anymore after they made that change and the funniest part is that Vanguards have the chuckle even though they unlike Scoundrels don't have Random procs (assuming no Commando/Merc Raidbuff, wich admittedly isn't random but might as well be). leaving aside how much better Gameplay is with the Audible feedback, I also like the chuckle.
  3. it's not foolproof simple, there's 2 Quests / iLVL and 4 iLVLs with Mods the purple one only has enhancements so it won't help you get iLVL because you'll miss Armoring and modification (also hilt&blaster whatever it's called) if you do the blue one on the other hand you can get the items to that iLVL and then just get an item drop and disassemble that for the purple one sine it will be the same iLVL as what you are wearing. -> make sure you do the blue quest first, for that one it doesn't matter either if the Item is purple or blue since the higher quality one will also work for the lower quality quest. however you can't craft them you can just buy them for credits, don't ask what they cost though, I'm not rich but I don't currently have to look at NPC Prices especially since I only bought a few main & offhands while I didn't have enough R4 Tokens.
  4. that was fixed last Year https://www.swtor.com/patchnotes/12202022/game-update-7.2a they already drop from the easiest Boss in R4 and will automatically drop from Weekly Quest Boxes because every thing else will be higher iLVL the rng of what you'll get from Boxes is an Issue, but since there are non-rng ways to get Relics that aren't especially difficult it's fine. I mean yea, all it needed was a auto disintegrate list to not fill the Inventory after killing 3 Bosses and a Legacy wide search feature to find where you put what pieces. also something to not be at the mercy of rng for Setbonuses. currently I have Gear for any spec I'd ever consider playing + some extras, just by playing, whereas in 6.3 I would have to deal with the torture of searching thousends of trash items to build those Gear sets. the only 2 issues of the 7.3 Gearing System, that I see are the lack of Mods at 340 and that Tanks need entirely separate gear from DPS/Heal. The game needs to encourage players to want to play Tank. the auto disintegrate list & Legacy Search would improve the Game but with Loadouts these Features aren't neccecary like they were in 6.x. so while 6.x gearing up was the best, it is better now than how it was then, people are just hung up over how it was in between.
  5. complaining about how long it takes to put gear into the legacy Bank but then claiming the Explanation of how that time can be reduced down to negligible time required is off topic, you aren't any more friendly then xxSHOONYxx is. good luck with convincing anyone SWTORs gear acquisition System is bad when you are the one who deliberately decided to use it wrong.
  6. do you know about Hyde and Zeek? they are in the supply area, in the room next to where you upgrade Gear. You only need one Item at 326,330 / 334 and/or 336 (I think those were the Levels the quests should tell you what you need) then you can Buy components and use modifiable shells. Just make sure you grabbed the right Quest before dismanteling. That will massively speed up getting gear and since you can reuse it over and over with better components, you save Credits on Augment kits. I'm just not 100% sure if the quests are still gated behind average iLVL or not. If you had 330 Gear with Purple Augments that Gear is basically equal to 340 Gear without Augments so if you need to save credits just keeping the Augmented gear and only upgrade when you can go directly to the cap on that Piece of Equipment. Augments are especially good to get Accuracy to 100% as soon as possible.
  7. but levels do matter. at low levels the Game expects you to be a beginner, it doesn't give you many decisions however it bloats your stats enough you get trough even when all you have is saber strike and double strike with half your gear missing. at a higher Level the Game expects you to have learned how to play so it stops babysitting you. think of Gear as what makes the Game easier and of your level as what makes the game more complex. and well, complex can mean harder if you don't use it to your advantage.
  8. Groupfinder is just full of unnecessary Punishments, I'm not sure if they crept over from PVP or if the DEVs just hate the Players and always assume the worst of them. Don't take it to heart.
  9. I agree with 1. more importantly it should be segmented into easier MM normal MM and Harder MM, as well as fast MM normal MM and Slow MM, reward points for the weekly accordingly, you shouldn't be forced to list for all of them to progress the weekly. about 2. that didn't happen. FPs were not buffed whatsoever, instead by being able to get better Gear more easily you could argue FPs were nerfed. Skill & knowlage Gear
  10. afaik there's two Achievements, one for 330 and below, one for 334 and below you get them by having two different Legendary Implants at that iLVL equipped at the same time. you have both those Achievements but still don't get the discount? (not sure if your Server Matters)
  11. I knew Sage Operations mainhand was bugged (maybe still is?), didn't know about Operatives. how about getting Mods and stuff from Hyde and Zeek and using a shell? the blue ones (prototype Gear) have all you need for a mainhand, Purple (artifact) are just the Enhancements (with a minor amount of better stats, grab Prototype first!) Hyde and Zeek are located in the outer Ring of the Supplies section (3rd cubicle if you go counterclockwise (I think)). grab the 336 Prototype Quest and when asked to dismantle something dismantle any Blue or Purple Item at or above 336 iLVL. presumably you know how to use modable gear, if not just ask.
  12. if you want good advice check out Nee-Elders links that said, get a Guild or some people to play with Voice chat asap, the game is way more fun with friends instead of strangers. Tanks are support, being support means they need to be supported by the Group to make sense, support is much easier to get from friends.
  13. I look at the Season vendor, basically never, but isn't that vendors only reason to exist to sell you things like Fen Zeil? I would have just assumed he's in there and you just have to wait for the Rotation.
  14. I just think if your complaint is that people who leave don't get any stat to show they are little Babies, implementing that stat may well be the singular most easy to implement thing that has ever been implemented in a Computer Programm. I know for a fact if PCs could only do one thing, Counting would be it.
  15. what stats? lets assume there were stats anyone would care about, just implement a stat that counts disconnects. I think you can just log back in in PVE, I haven't used a lot of Groupfinder for a long time now because it's just stacked with punishments and downgrades as it is, PVP ppl have no Idea how bad PVE GF got because they lumped the kind of acceptable PVP punishments/downgrades into the PVE que where they have absolutely no justification. so yea if you could log back in but don't the lockout is fine, PVE groups can take a wipe because of a DC, happens every other Raid actually, but if they did change it to DC = instant kick then screw of with your "mimimi we PVPers get punished for DCs PVE needs to be ruined too!!!!!!!" and if DCs had 1-2 min "kick protection" but did get auto kicked after that (unless it's a premade) and then got a lockout for that, it would be acceptable.
  16. I'm not exactly a pro on what are the good pc components and what are bad but isn't the 1650 basically equivalent to onboard Graphics? so it doesn't seem surprising it's working hard to run the Game on max. I think the "SWTOR is CPU bottle necked" that is thrown around assumes you have roughly comparable components it's not a recommendation to overspend on everything and then get a cheap graphics card. Graphics cards have been way overpriced for a while now, unless you drop the settings there doesn't seem to be a way around paying a good chunk more for the GPU then the CPU even on Games that tend to be more reliant on CPU than GPU (for gaming). what you haven't mentioned is your Resolution, that is afaik what affects the Games Performance the most (also because people usually go from 1080p directly to 4k which is a massive jump) regarding what is the highest load on the individual cores? not all cores being used is just a given, I don't think any game would split the load between all cores equally if the CPU is the Issue (in a Game) it's always only some of the cores that are maxxed. (if you use Task Manager to check, right click the CPU graph and have it show logical cores)? if you are looking at the overall: 8 Cores 30% load could be one of the cores running SWTOR at 100% (causing the bottleneck) some more on another core but probably not 100% and then light stuff in the Background on other cores yet again, the graph would pretend you have plenty CPU power leftover but actually SWTOR can't use it. I still think it's the graphics card but it could be the CPU.
  17. or to write it how it actually was: no max level endgame grinder was ever meant to be in most Story mode FPs, they were meant to spend time in the HM version of the FPs and not bother the little ones with their degeneracy.
  18. I did not question the accuracy of the Combat Logs - I question people's ability to properly interpret the data. when reading the entire post that's exactly what you did, just if this: was taken out of context, then what you wrote got misinterpreted and started this whole Argument. I wrote that badly, you didn't start the argument, a part of what you wrote was used to start the Argument. if you just look at that segment however, you did falsely put the blame that should go to the people misinterpreting the data onto the Parser claiming it's inaccurate. (unless that's a translation thing / me missing common English phrasing, and "most accurate" is used interchangeably for "not easily misinterpreted" in English conversations, my English isn't bad but "false friends" do get me al the time, just like me writing standard-German-never-ending-sentences gets me in trouble all the time. )
  19. I'm getting at you pretending I wrote "DPS don't matter" when what I wrote is "overall DPS don't matter*" Edit: *outside of Speed Running / doing stuff your Group has on Farm anyway
  20. and another one I accidentally cut from my post: In council burn your HPS will increase though, I saw 60 or 70k HPS burns but nobody can sustain that. simplest Example if a Healer goes into that Phase dead -> they will certainly not increase their HPS or if they had to use all their CDs and Ressource to get into the Burn in the first Place, they won't gain nearly as much HPS as a properly prepared healer would. or someone stands outside of AOE Heal Range, that too will affect HPS without being the Healers fault. or maybe the tank died just as the phase started and a healer wasted time (=HPS) rezzing the tank. ... there's infinite situations where the Overall HPS are just totally meaningless, look at specific things!
  21. my TLDR is: in general generalizations are dumb and if you want to do something positive you should always look objectively at the specific situation. If someone does top DPS against IP-CPT they either fabricated the parse or had a horrible team. Has nothing to do with how much damage on turrets, it's rather someone just **not** doing damage - intentionally. well, someone has to be top DPS. If the DPS do zero, a Healer might be top DPS if the healer also does zero then a tank will be top DPS if you don't have a Tank or if they also do zero, then top dps will be shared between all Players but that's a ludicrous hypothetical so I'm not sure what you are talking about. we are probably talking about different things, in that Example, I am talking about comparing DPS between the Participants of a fight. (specifically a failed fight, because a successful one wouldn't warrant judging numbers besides some meaningless bragging anyway), not about comparing to other groups or whatever. what I was talking about was a wipe sometime during the first enforcer Phase, it's easy for a situation to occur where the first part of the fight (where DPS are meaningless) dominates the overall Numbers -> those overall numbers are meaningless. another example of what I'm talking about, first pull against the Boss, people die before the next phase even happens, DPS didn't matter whatsoever. then there's stuff like getting targeted by each and every Grenade, completely ruining your Parse if you happen to be melee, both DPS and DTPS will look way off, even if you played perfectly. Of course DPS matters in most encounters? ... please please please don't just omit the overall I wrote, I wrote it for a Reason. Yes, the Parse is an insanely useful tool to analyze fights, but in most modern fights you have to look at specific phases, even when it's the Enrage that kills you and you could do damage the entire fight. In my experience just glancing at the overall instead of trying to figure out if there was an issue in a specific phase won't do much good. about thinking certain things don't have to be spelled out, you vastly misjudge how hard it is to interpret data for people who haven't done it before & how easy miscommunication is. Just look how you misinterpreted my point that overall DPS during the IP-CPT fight matter less then the DPS in specific phases, I clearly should have written what I mean in far more detail. everyone having high Overall numbers in combination with a smooth run can tell you "yep, everything is fine" if a fight fails you need to examine things in more detail in the vast majority of cases. Unless you are happy with just replacing the worst player ("worst" based on an Average you don't want to spend the minimal effort required to understand)
  22. each major update that increases the max level is a "soft reset" about bonuses on gear, tbh there's no one size fits all solution, with Loadouts I might hate them less then I did in 6.x but at the same time when Loadouts break the Game is not unplayable only because the Bonuses are limited to just a tiny number of special Items, if you use different sets to adapt your Class to different situations why isn't it simply in the Ability choices? sparing us the BS Inventory management. I do NOT want to see tons of special gear back until SWTOR gets a powerful search feature, lets you favorite & tag Gear, lets you synchronize Loadouts between Characters, lets you setup automatic filters to auto disintegrate / auto Vendor Items you have specified... once Inventory Management in SWTOR is fixed and if it's not done via BS Lottery I don't mind if we get interesting gear, until then / unless acquisition is deterministic Boring Gear is just the best.
  23. Its just not true. The only way the data is inaccurate is if 1. not all poeple are in the parse group and 2. if it is a long range boss, cally or tfb as example inaccurate != meaningless unless I'm misinterpreting SteveTheCynic I don't think he called it inaccurate instead he called the statement inaccurate, Overall data is often meaningless because: no one cares for example if a Tank took 2k DTPS or 9k DTPS after the fight what you care about is took the tank more Damage - Healing taken then they had Health over let's say 10 Seconds during a Fight. same if a Tank takes a bunch more damage overall but no one else is most of the time and then the Tank reduces damage taken when the Healers are busy with something else that can be very valuable but won't show on overall. if you did tons of HPS against dread council but once you look at the Burn-phase there was barely any HPS, the overall HPS are meaningless. if someone does top DPS against IP-CPT but when taking a closer look they did trash Damage during the important Phases. ... overall DPS only matter once Bosses are on Farm when you start Speed Running the Content, if you can't kill Bosses overall DPS don't matter whatsoever in many many Encounters. Jedi Quaker started this whole Argument by falsely putting the Accuracy of the Combat log into question when you look at sections of Fights. if you read what he wrote instead it's just People not knowing how to interpret data, the data is accurate enough. (most of the time)
  24. so you can see things like "your group is ready" in a chat window that doesn't show "player joins channel allies" while you are member of said allies channel -> can see people talking in it? if yes, that would mean there's a setting buried somewhere that is exactly what both OP and I want. I don't think that would change anything in the active tab.
