MollyDresden Posted August 30, 2013 Posted August 30, 2013 Okay, with these new Czerka flashpoints in HM for 55s... They're listed with the other HM 55s, yet are noticeably harder. So if I queue for a 55 HM, wanting one of the older ones that I can definitely do, and get dumped into one of the CZ ones that I'm undergeared for, I can either drop group, get kicked by the other people who know I'm undergeared, or we can try it and, once we fail, I can leave. It seems like the most responsible thing to do would be to simply drop group right away if I know I'm undergeared for it. Except I get a lockout of group finder. What if this happens multiple times in a row? Since it seems like those pop more frequently than the other 55 HMs. I think that either the CZ HM 55s should be in a separate group finder queue box, so we can queue for them separately from others that drop the comms we need, or the lockout should be removed in cases like this (and how that would be decided what "like this" is, I'm not sure). But it just seems wrong that I can't queue for HM 55s that I can totally do and need the comms from without getting dumped into one I'm undergeared for and then get penalized for dropping group. Not to mention, if I immediately requeue, it might very well put me back in the same group I just left.
AshlaBoga Posted August 30, 2013 Posted August 30, 2013 A group in full basic gear can clear HM Labs/Meltdown. Is it a cakewalk? Not really, but it's hardly impossible. Impossible would be doing it in level 45 gear.
Hawkeyezzzzz Posted August 30, 2013 Posted August 30, 2013 Okay, with these new Czerka flashpoints in HM for 55s... They're listed with the other HM 55s, yet are noticeably harder. My Opinion: No they are not!
morfius Posted August 30, 2013 Posted August 30, 2013 Just burn ads ASAP (whole group do it if needed) & follow mechanics. They are harder than old ones but not due gear level, they are simply over designed in term of lesser mistake forgiveness and adds hitting like trucks. 3 of those normal mobs hit more than 2 groups of silver ones in Cademimu (flamethrower boss)... just don't let them get you.
AAAAzrael Posted August 30, 2013 Posted August 30, 2013 I think the bosses are a bit uneven and there is quite a bit of RNG involved as well. Boss with electrified floor can tax a healer if other people are not overgeared, especially the tank. Desert storm boss is quite easy on a shadow (force speed), but guardians have quite tight situational awareness check and if they fail it it's basically a wipe (if not very overgeared). And the boss the shoots plasma and cryo grenades - I forgot his name - even in severely overgeared groups it's very easy to loose 1-2 in final seconds of the fight. Also in that fight the circles are clearly bugged as people have taken damage/got frozen being long away from circles, so graphics do not match actual positioning. Also if there is some new person in the group and messes up with colour containers on final boss it can get very painful if you are not crazily overgeared. Do not get me wrong those are still mostly walk in a park, but you can still wipe if you are not careful. I had 2 wipes in one of them with a very good player from my guild who was on his tank ALT and never tanked them before and I was just walking him through that on TS. Those bosses are not at the same level as those in Hammer Station or smth.

What if this happens multiple times in a row? Since it seems like those pop more frequently than the other 55 HMs. You only need to get one random done for the daily (assuming that's what you want to get done). After that you can just click of the choises for the new flashpoints in your GF settings. I guess there might be more of the new flashpoints going on currently in the random flashpoints, since all the bosses drop 69 gear. People who are trying to farm gear to be able to do operations will only have those two chosen in their group finder. You get a lockout from group finder even when kicked?
tommox Posted August 30, 2013 Posted August 30, 2013 I have to say i only had basic gear when i first done these 2 flash points and i am still kind of a starter when it comes to gearing and these were a breeze. I have much better gear now. I suppose you just have to know what your doing (no offence intended) or at least have a good team, either way as long as you all know your role on the team, it is a breeze with basic gear or high end gear.
tommox Posted August 30, 2013 Posted August 30, 2013 You get a lockout from group finder even when kicked? NO i don't think so you get a lock out when kicked because that would be unfair. some people can be childish, and kick you from a group for nothing.
oaceen Posted August 30, 2013 Posted August 30, 2013 (edited) the gear check is the same. it may seem harder, but that is most probably because they are new and have new mechanics. this may seem like a 'learn to play' response but it's not. once you get used to the new mechanics, i assure you that they're not that difficult. so this is a 'keep trying' response. think back to doing the other 4 HMs at 55. cademimu and mando raiders especially. those mechanics were really hard before people got used to them. sithBracer Posted August 30, 2013 Posted August 30, 2013 If you leave on your own I think the rest of the team should be given an option whether to penalize you or not, similar to a vote kick. So if someone has a real life emergency apologizes and leaves right after finishing the next boss fight, people would understand and not choose to penalize him. But if someone rage quits for a stupid reason then I'm sure everyone would be more than happy to give him the maximum penalty (like no GF for one day).
Synavix Posted August 30, 2013 Posted August 30, 2013 Having recently healed both the new Czerka hardmodes on a fresh 55 (both my tanks and DPS were already overgeared for them, so it's hard to tell from that point of view), the only real thing that makes these any harder than the previous HMFPs is that there are built-in enrage mechanics on the regular bosses, and not just the bonus bosses. When I solo queue, I'm about 50% likely to get a group that HAS to skip the Asteroid Beast because they don't know how to push more than one button and can't beat the enrage. Similarly, I usually get groups that run out of tanks on the Sandstorm boss or hit the enrage on the water puddle boss. I've even hit the enrage on the weapons guy (I really need to learn their names...). Thankfully all the enrages are pretty forgiving, at least for a short while. None are instant wipes like the Asteroid Beast. All you really need to successfully complete these is a group of people who is willing to listen and learn the fights, and maybe one or two people who are "decently" geared. A tank who already knows the fights is a pretty big plus, at least for the Sandstorm one.
Prototypemind Posted August 31, 2013 Posted August 31, 2013 I really feel that as long as you have the mechanics down these are the same as, if not easier than, the old 55HMs in terms of difficulty on the boss fights. There are some mobs that can actually cause you more trouble, and the red vs blue can be a pain depending on how the group deals with them, but that's it in terms of increased difficulty. Rasmus is very simple. The weapon's specialist isn't hard in terms of the fight, it's simply that he can blast the dps/heals to death almost instantly and there's nothing to do about it. As mentioned earlier, the circles do seem a slight bit off on him. The Duneclaw is a pain if you have a tank that can't burst/overcome movement impairing effects, but actually killing it is easy. That said I still think Mando, Athis, and Hammer are more difficult runs, but they're all straight forward if you know your rotation. If you're lower geared then you need to be a little more precise in terms of what your strategy is.

Amaterasustee Posted September 2, 2013 Posted September 2, 2013 @ OP, all I read was "I'm a baddie and always get kicked, get rid of the lockout timer so I can troll some more". The HM aren't harder it just requires you to understand the game. I love the new Fps it really shows who is a baddie and who isn't. Both can be MERC healed with 58s so don't give me **** about it being hard. Another thread were the op is just telling us he's bad. Quit the game, you're ruining everyone elses game.
metalfenix Posted September 3, 2013 Posted September 3, 2013 Both can be MERC healed with 58s so don't give me **** about it being hard. lol Wut, I healed them with my 66 Trooper and I sweated cold, specially with bosses like the security chief on labs, damn red circles at the end make my heals useless since I had to stand still while casting my heals.

Nkya Posted September 4, 2013 Posted September 4, 2013 In my experience the asteroid belt boss in hammer station is more forgiving to lesser gear. I ran it once on my tank with 2 DPS geared for the content. Other groups would have given up, but we advised each other and managed to defeat it, after the engage (tank saved theircooldown, adding a dozen of second of DPS) Czerka is more gear dependent on some bosses. The Chief Zolkar hit my sage for 28k (equiped in 72), that'll be one shot kill for any lesser geared sage or sorcerer. The other classes don't behave much better. And it's not avoidable, it hits even after she ran a dozen of meter away from the circle. On the other hand, with good geared and skilled DPS, this russian roulette phase is dramatically shortened, avoiding wipes.
ScarletBlaze Posted September 4, 2013 Posted September 4, 2013 Op try running with a friend or a guild mate before you que up. It makes the run a lot less stressful. I know that is what my friend does and she is a healer.

That boss is usually hard when healers make it hard. If they position themselves so they avoid the stuns, healing is pretty much trivial. Unfortunately, most of the time they just eat the stun every chance they have. Edited September 4, 2013 by wainot-keel
