  1. Some "nice" ones today... DF SM 16-man Decided to go with my tank ... Thank goodness this is an easy one even if there's lots of mistakes going around. While inspecting others I realized the other tank had never done it before further than the first boss, but when asked if everyone knows the tactics he didn't say anything. I wasn't the raid leader, so I just notified he clearly hasn't done the other bosses. The four first bosses went fine since you don't really need two tanks on them. We get to Brontes and ask again if everyone knows tactics but nobody asks for explanations. Off we go. First wipe is because the other tank doesn't tank the other tentacle properly and it keeps hitting the raid. I tell the tanks what he should do and it seems fine. Second wipe because people wiped on the beams popping from ground. Third wipe because people weren't killing the right mobs during Bronte's beam, instead everyone killing different mobs. One healer decides that's enough and leaves. Fine, it can be done with three healers no problem so I decide to stick for one more but ask again who doesn't know the tactics and to just fess up so they can be explaind. Few ppl tell they haven't done it before and don't really know what's going on. I explain. I whisper the other tank for a recap what he should be doing on each phase. I pull, mistakes still happening, but nothing fatal although the other tank is acting more like a DPS. Last phase and the other tank doesn't pick up Brontes when needed and I have to ask for him to do it in chat, think he taunted it once. We do manage to kill it however and I'm just happy it's over. DF HM 8-man Fleet ad for DF HM 8-man from second boss. Joined with my merc. Should've been suspicious about them asking for a healer for second boss. I phase in, it's a guild run so good, but when asking for voice chat I would have needed to understand Russian for that apparently. I check their achis and another red flag when I see none of them has done it before. Decide to give it a go anyway, maybe they're awesome. First wipe because other healer doesn't cleanse people when needed. I ask the DPS capable of healing themselves to do so. Second wipe because of dismantlers. I go through what they should do with them just to be sure they know. Third wipe because a mass affliction got through. I'm ready to call it, but decide to give it one more go. Everything goes fine until boss enrages around 25%. I check the DPS's gear and notice only one of them has proper accuracy, two of the worst offenders had 105% and 106%. I tell them their DPS can't possibly be good enough for the fight and they need to fix their gear before going in again, apologize and leave the group... now back at my baby Powertech.
  2. We have the mail, which is all fine and good, but I'm really missing a summonable droid for the GTN and cargo. Wouldn't mind spending some CC on getting those unlocked from legacy perks.
  3. We've just upped our 8-man team into a 16-man team for the new ops HM runs. So if you're interested in running the new content hard modes in 16-man, we're still looking for more DPS who can pull their weight and are interested in raiding actively. Also a spot for one tank and one healer in the rotation if they are dedicated and motivated enough. Our new ops progression so far in hard mode: Dread Fortress 8/16 HM 4/5 Dread Palace 8 HM 4/5 Our next step is to get the 16-man team into Palace.
  4. 16-man SM vids. Messy first time in. No last boss, since we did it on Wednesday before the fix, so will upload that when we go in again. Bestia: Tyrans: Calphayus: Raptus:
  5. These are from Tuesday... some of them a bit messy fighting, first time and all. NEFRA: PUZZLE BEFORE 2ND BOSS: COMMANDER DRAXUS: GROB'THOK: CORRUPTOR ZERO: DREAD MASTER BRONTES:
  6. We wouldn't mind a couple active and motivated ranged DPS. Also a powertech tank would be a nice addition. We're currently running 16-man HM raids and 8-man progression raids.
  7. Think you were with us. ^^ (I'm the tank.) Glad to hear you enjoyed the run! And I'm happy to report that the healer in question is on a fast track on becoming one of our best raid healers. We do like to help out newly dinged people and gear them up to get into raiding with us (since most of us are raid junkies, raiding pretty much every day). So, my own experiences then... I've been lately levelling my baby powertech as a tank. This happened a while ago... Get into Hammer Station and immediately notice our merc healer is not using his healing cylinder (and from his level I know he already should have it). Even though it's clear he's a DPS queued up as a healer, I'm not too worried, since the instance can be healed by a DPS if they bother trying. I do ask him if he has field respec, but he doesn't understand. We go through trash to the first boss and there's virtually no heals so I decide I'm not going to pull the boss unless he at least changes to his healing cylinder so he can heal with his rapid shots as well — so I sit down and explain I'm not moving before that happens and tell the merc what the cylinder looks like. After a few minutes he changes it. I pull the boss, my health is going dangerously slow, I have to beg for heals, but this merc is just standing DPSing and healing himself. We wipe and I initiate kick on the merc and no surprise it passes. We get another healer that's actually healing specked and we finish the instance without problems. Another instance with my PT. I'm only queuing up as a tank since I do not have field respec yet (wasn't sure if I was going to stick with it or not). Athiss pops, I'm the tank, but there's also this assassin DPS who's on tank stance. I tell him to switch to DPS. After that it's a taunting competition with me and the assassin. Everytime I jump on a pack, get aggro, I soon notice the taunt debuff on the mob. I taunt it back. I tell the assassin to stop taunting. First boss, he continues to taunt the boss everytime it's out of CD. The healer and the other DPS don't seem to mind since they're not saying anything so I thought to stick with it, just to get the daily done. Dog boss. I go into position against the wall and taunt the boss. Assassin is behind it and taunts, gets tossed around. I shout in chat that if he insists on taunting, at least be at the right position to do so. He continues taunting the boss and being tossed around. Nobody dies though, thanks to the healer. After a few more trash packs like this I give up and switch to DPS cylinder and pretend to be DPS in my tanking speck and we finish the instance.
  8. I must admit I do not know. Tried to search for that info as well but no luck...
  9. Continuing with our adventures in story mode raids with as few people as possible. Operator IX 16-man ops with 8 people. One tank, one healer, rest are DPS.
  10. Hey! Heresy might be what you're looking for (our recruitment post over here). We're a gaming community instead of just a raiding guild (so we're looking for people who want to be a part of the community and hang in TS while ingame). The community is 18+, but most members are around their thirties. We have a semi-hc (three progression nights a week, 3hours each) progression raid group, but also lots of social members and more casual raiders (and pvp players). Our "legacy tier raids" tend to be a bit laid back and accidental deaths happen, but on progression raids we're concentrated. You can see for example our Kephess kill video here: We're currently looking for an experienced operative healer and we also have rotation spots for ranged DPS. Our aim is to get back to 16man NMM raids when we get a couple more spots filled. You can apply via this link.
  11. Could we get a combined dmg/dps and healing/hps/ehps to the pop outs? (Also the the raid tab. This is a great parser and this is a minor thing, but we do miss it to see the total in one glance.)
  12. We're especially looking for an operative/mercenary healer for our progression team.
  13. For the giggles and the cash. TFB SM Dread Guards 4-man. Couldn't progress further since Operator IX discriminates smaller groups.
  14. Think I might have the chest and pants, need to check tough. I'll toss you an ingame mail if I remember correctly. (Will be quite late before I'm able to be online tonight.)
  15. Yesterday we had an issue in raid where one member switched characters. After that both of his characters showed in the DPS table and raid members (for the char he was on earlier it kept his previous DPS). He restarted the parser, but the problem persisted.
  16. This is awesome. Looks so much cleaner than either Torparse or MOX. Our guild has switched to use this. Hope you keep developing it!
  17. Think of the probes as pre-emptive healing. They last a long time and everyone can have two stacks. So yes, if someone is dropping fast, big heals are good, but forexample when you're dead and waiting for the forcefield to go down, when it's at one quarter, dropp two probes on everyone waiting there with you. When you're out there and there's nobody really in need of big heals, drop two probes on everyone (even those in full health, since they sure won't be full health for long). It will help you heal them when they do start to drop down. Hope this helps. I don't have a high level scoundrel/operative, so I'm not the best one to help you with this, but hopefully a bit. Just keep having fun!
  18. That's actually quite logical. Maybe we should redefine it. We usually just call "Inc [side] [numbers]". Inc as in incoming. And that's the way it should be. Don't feel pressure to be an über pvper. The commentary alone is enough to make ppl watch these. I do see you still click on people instead of selecting them from the ops frame. I suggest you move the ops frame a bit more into the middle of your screen where it's easily reachable. As a healer most of your time you should be keeping your eye on that (since you can easily see who's going down and who's in range etc). A good idea is also to make the debuff icons bigger in the ops frame so you can easily see if anyone needs to be dispelled. Also since you're operative, keep your healing probes on two stacks on everyone (from what I saw you had them on hardly anyone). Your healing will go up insanely much.
  19. If you're a class that can either heal or tank, I suggest changing speck for that for FPs. This will guarantee an almost instant pop (my experiences are from The Red Eclipse). If you don't have field respec, and thus cannot easily toggel between DPS and support, I suggest you try find either a tank or a healer to group up with before joingin the group finder queue. That will allow you to leech into the group with the suppor character. If you don't have anyone you can ask to group with, I'd suggest making some friends and perhaps joining a guild.
  20. You are bad, but damn was I entertained. The narration makes these hilarious. 10/10. (Confused why you call just about everything trolling though. )
  21. That doesn't quite add up. :/ You should be doing more DPS on that fight if you're all full 72's. Your collective dps should be above the 12k mark for the fight and that's possible even when there's people still partly in 69 gear. Might be time for your DPS to check their gear optimizations, builds and rotations.
