  1. Um, if your male character reunites with his female LI/spouse and finds out she's pregnant, it means she cheated on you, which probably isn't what you're going for. I doubt any of the playable races have a 5-year+ gestation period. Edit: Ah, I see someone else already pointed that out. As for the basic idea of actually having kids, aside from the logistical problems, there's the fact that the legacy system has been around nearly since launch, so a lot of us have already determined that some of our characters are kids of our others, and so forth. So unless you had the option to specify exactly what these children look like (like the child of a chiss/human pairing being a chiss instead of a human) so that they match up with the characters you've created to be their children, it would be messing with people's personal legacy lore pretty strongly. Not to mention that in the legacy system there's the option to have two of your characters be each other's spouses, and while that's purely cosmetic and doesn't prevent them from marrying their companions in-game, there is the fact that some of us intend for our character to be the wife/husband of a different character in our personal lore, which for in-game purposes would mean they're unattached and therefore unavailable for any kid system like you're talking about, even though they may have kids according to our legacy.
  2. Yeah, I hate it too. Takes way more time and focus to use this new menu. (That's relative to the way it was before. I'm not saying it takes a *lot* of time and focus. It's like the difference between half a second and two seconds, which is more than enough to be annoying.)
  3. Actually, I think I agree with the sentiment that there should never have been stats on color crystals. What color your weapon is should be a purely cosmetic choice, but with stats we end up having to choose sometimes between the color we want and the stat we could most use. Not to mention it creates unnecessary duplicates by having all those stat variations. However, now that so many people have spent actual money/CC on crystals in various forms, and particularly where they, say, unlocked both the endurance hazel crystal and the crit hazel crystal (where if there were no stats, they'd have only spent the money to unlock one, if any), I'm not sure how they could roll this back in a way that would satisfy those who've spent money. Not unless they could find a way to refund all of that. And even then, it would upset people who spent credits to buy certain stat crystals off of the GTN.
  4. Yeah, if necessary, even temporarily, a recast would hardly be unusual. Finding someone who both looks and sounds like another actor is next to impossible, but this isn't live-action. A lot of people sound (or can sound, if they try) like other people, especially when you've got the animation the same, which would lead the brain to already expect to hear the same voice, so any difference could easily go unnoticed. Then again, if they'd done that with Jorgan, I'd have totally noticed, since I'm much more familiar with his voice actor (having watched pretty much all of Psych).
  5. As default, no thanks. I actually quite like Theron's hair. As a customization option, sure, I really want more customization options for him and Lana et al.
  6. Agreed. Though I think I'd have to disagree that twi'leks have the fewest face options. It's been a while since I made a pureblood, but aren't those literally all the same face, with different headbumps/tendrils?
  7. Yeah, I was thinking of her. I think a Republic villain is totally doable, as Saresh proves. It would be a different, more real-world kind of villain. Evil is not synonymous with Empire and good is not synonymous with Republic. Evil and good can exist in both factions, but I think a Republic evil would be more insidious, more covert, and would be a lot better at pretending to be good. Which, IMO, is a much scarier kind of evil than a cackling space warlock.
  8. That's why I use companion customizations for some of the LI companions. Some of them are just for variety, but some, I wouldn't romance them at all if I had only the default option.
  9. I think you can avoid romances by not choosing flirt options (not sure about this), but I don't like that the premarital sexytimes are not avoidable. Especially on a Jedi, where you'd think they'd be more conservative here. With Nadia, prior to the marriage convo, when she's ready to have sex, despite having rebuffed her previously, your options are "I wanted to make sure you were ready," "About time," and "Okay, let's get to it then." Why is there no option for your Jedi to go, "Wait now. I'm not ready for this and would like to wait." They're banking on the fairly sexist assumption that men always want sex under any circumstances (for nice guys, only if the woman's comfortable with it) and would never decline such an invitation from a woman he's expressed interest in. I mean, I know marriage/romance isn't sticking to the Jedi way already, but I was hoping to be able to keep my Jedi man relatively conservative in such matters. But nope. The game gives you no "No thanks, let's wait" option at all. Or even a, "Oh, I like you, but I'm not sure I want to get that serious with you," option. In other words, if your options are "Yes, thanks," "Yes," and "Hell, yes," that's not really a choice. For a game built on the idea that "choices matter", that's really not the way it should be.
  10. Had this same thing with my Consular. "Have you heard about my apprentice, Nadia?" "Oh, I did meet her. Didn't know she was your apprentice. Yeah, she disappeared. Probably totes dead now." "That's too bad. BTW she was my wife too. Guess I'm probably a widower now. So tell me about yourself."
  11. Gault wasn't romanceable, and we got him back in the story (not an alert). I hope that whenever Malavai and Jaesa come back, we'll be able to get them on all our characters (both factions). There really are so many potential cool story ideas for how they can bring the remaining characters back. I really hope they spend a lot of time and effort on that rather than simply flinging them back at us, alert-style. I'll probably be disappointed by whatever they end up giving us, but I can at least hope.
  12. I also use ignore. And I have gen chat off most of the time. That stuff doesn't bother me if I don't see it. Granted, people shouldn't be talking that way, but I don't really want BW to spend resources being some kind of thought police either. Because where's the line? Sure, some stuff is blatantly offensive. But there are things which some find offensive only because they're opinions those people disagree with, and that kind of thing shouldn't be banned. So I'd really say if it bothers you that much, just close the chat window. And as for those other people who were there and silent, they were probably busy actually playing the game or talking to other people directly, and they may have had gen chat closed (or were ignoring it) anyway. The world's full of this kind of stuff. For your own sanity, you have to learn to ignore it where you can.
  13. I would really like additional classes to use assault cannons and sniper rifles on. And knives, too.
  14. I'm not 100% sure I'm understanding what's being suggested correctly, but I would love a way to keep all my outfits/pieces in one place so that all my alts can go to that terminal to find outfits. It's such a pain just trying to figure out which items I have in my inventory of various characters (but are unbound), which are unlocked in collections, which are available to unlock but not unlocked yet, etc. A way to see all my available gear pieces/outfits on each character easily would be wonderful.
  15. I kinda think Bothans would be fun, especially since they're about as humanoid as the playable races we already have. Ones with very inhuman heads (like many mentioned here already) would be good only if they have distinct customization options that aren't just color changes. There'd actually need to be different face options, even for inhuman faces.
  16. So you know how every time someone asks for something that was a 'subscribe during this time to get it' exclusive, like the HK chapter, a bunch of people shout, "You didn't do what was required to get it to so you don't deserve it!"? This is kind of the flip side of that. You did a thing that no one else can now do because it relies on having done something at a certain time. Good for you. You got a reward for it. It's still a unique reward that no one else can get and distinguishes you as having done that thing. But now you say that's not enough and you want more, retroactive rewards? Why? Why do you think you deserve more rewards for something you did five years ago? You think they should introduce some cool new thing that is impossible to get unless you have already done something five years ago, with no way to get it by doing something now? No. You're not that special.
  17. While I do sometimes ignore people for complete idiots (like an impatient DPS pulling mobs when I'm playing tank, or that one guy who didn't respond to my attempts to talk to him to explain the boss fight, then pulled the boss as a DPS and wiped the group), it's more common for me to ignore people because they're being total jerks. Sometimes sexist jerks. Sometimes elitist jerks. Sometimes both. That guy who spams a PVP match group chat with "This group sucks! You all suck!"... Yeah, he gets ignored. I guess what I'm saying is that ignorance isn't a problem (unless the person refuses to learn or listen to anyone), but arrogance and rudeness is something I won't put up with. Not when avoiding it as simple as typing /ignore.
  18. I think they've removed some characters that used to be allowed in names. I tried to re-create a character I'd already created (by deleting and remaking him) and even though he had a hyphen in his name originally, it wouldn't accept it when I did this after 5.0. So, I think they've removed some options without telling us. That said, I'd think it's pretty obvious that you should make a new character to check if the name you want is available (and reserve it if it is). Then you buy the token, delete the test character, and rename the character you want. I agree that there should be an 'exit and refund token' option during that process, but you could have done something pretty easy to protect yourself here.
  19. While I can understand where you're coming from, I doubt, "My character doesn't sleep naked enough" is a major concern for a lot of players. On a related note, it was a little weird when my character woke up to find Lana standing in her bedroom. (And no, she's never once even flirted with her.)
  20. Exactly. Because it's not like BW is always 100% true to every decision they make and never go back on it or amend it in any way. Most companies that rely on paying customers aren't.
  21. Agreed. It's annoying to have to remember to jump every so often while I'm farming crafting/crew skills or similar.
  22. Haha, I write novels, and before that fanfic. So I'm more about respecting the source material but changing and improving it however I think best (or in whatever ways I think it'd be interesting to play with) in ways that are still true to the story/world but expand it beyond how it was originally imagined by its creator.
  23. I think that'd be nice, but it would be best if they just changed the way the game worked so that gathering didn't dismount you.
  24. And yet the existence of morally grey characters make all stories more interesting. So, I guess I'm saying I don't care as much for specific SW lore as I do for what makes a story good. And some classes really lend themselves to being grey, like bounty hunters. They kill people for a living, so they're not exactly pure and light characters (unless you play it that they only take bounties on super evil people), but they also consider killing people to be work, and they don't work for free (unless you're a sadistic psychopath), so they wouldn't kill everyone who crosses their path just for kicks. Which would, based on the way the light and dark point system works in this game, lead them to making both 'light' and 'dark' choices. Hence, grey. The game itself sets up a storyline that works very well for grey characters and then with the whole L&D alignment feature tries to pretend they don't exist.
