Hello and welcome to the official Q&A thread for questions to be answered for the March 16th, 2012 Q&A blog post.

 

As a reminder, we’ll be starting up a weekly Q&A blog series in which we will select ten questions from the community and post answers to them every Friday. We’ll have the next set of answers next week on March 16th, 2012, but before that, we need your questions!

 

Please use this thread to ask your question (one per community member, so make it count!). On Tuesday at 2PM CST (8PM GMT), we will close this thread, select ten questions, and get answers to them for Friday’s blog post.

 

In order to increase the chances of having your specific question answered and to help us keep the thread manageable, here are some guidelines on asking questions:

  1. Keep your question relatively short. Background details are welcome, but don’t go overboard.
  2. Please actually ask a question. We want to hear constructive feedback elsewhere in the Forums.
  3. Use common sense – we cannot answer everything, especially on far-reaching content.

Is there any expectation to streamline or organize the crafting lists/interface. For Example, there are 6 level 29 implants. Each has 3 blue for an additional 18 items (24 items). Each blue has 5 possible purples for an additional 90 items. (114 items total) And this is for one level of items, making the lists of a dedicated crafter/REer just absurdly long.

Why are the Korrealis Sovereign & Prince speeders being removed in patch 1.2 and are they going to be changed from BoP and have their Valor requirement removed before that? Edited by mdob

What revamps you plan for GMK? Will Bid option be added as default instead Buyout?

Current GMK interface is discouraging and often players just use price selected by system just to save effort.

Default pricing is also out of the line of average ability training cost on same level - much too low.

 

Re. UI revamp, will we be able to select which buffs we want to see, e.g. only reactive buffs, disabling class and stim buffs?

When do we see Target of Target window?

Will we see more world boss' in the future for guilds to kill? If so, could we possible see loot that is currently only in ops and HMs drop on these new epic mobs? Some guilds take full ops for world boss events and selection and loot are lack luster.

With the new crafting features in 1.2 coming, will you be making the rare craftable materials that come out of hard mode flashpoints and out of Ops be shareable, if nothing else then shareable between account via a legacy feature? Also, what are the odds of making these rare craftable materials stackable so that player banks aren't filled entirely with these items? Edited by ZombieClownz

Can we see more Balance/fixes in some features?

 

Light/Darkside Vendor is imbalanced etc.(large lacking of gear, and sith marauders get NOTHING in armor from them in darkside...)

 

lack of the champ, cent and BM vibroswords not being in the vendors is disrturbing(nice change up from sabers, and good for non lightsaber companions like the warrior's Talz, shame theses were not put in the vendor when they are in the game files :< )

 

Only Bounty Hunters gets a legendary status item etc.

 

Certain last boss in Foundry's Helmet model was changed at launch resulting in his helmet to no longer work with his hood, and it also affects other helmets that shap like Sith Warrior pvp helms

Will the objective medals coming in 1.2 follow a different counter for Valor [so you can receive more Commendations per match beyond the four]? If not, I believe from a design perspective, the previous medals have more or less been achieved through solo efforts, while the new medals are [inferred] to be more team based. In order to prevent potential farming, you could even have the allowance of possible Valor/Commendations weighed against the other team's performance. If you blow them out 6-0, you'd gained less than if it was a closer [and thus longer] game. Is there anything wrong with this line of thinking?

Devs had mentioned in the summit that you can RE raid gear. I'm assuming this is so you could make it again with an augment slot. If this is the case will we have to pickup armormech or synthweaving to have 'best in slot gear' that looks like max level raid gear?

Do you have plans for a flowing, immersive travel experience in terms of additional/better cutscene animations and finding an alternate solution for the often occuring loading screen/black screen?

(e.g. integrating the subtle loading wheel to the lower right corner of transitional landing/departing/elevator cutscenes, for other places integrating a loading bar into an animated Star Wars like pad-device or similiar)

Can we have elaboration on "Neutral" or "Grey" morality items and how that will be implemented? Will it just be the existing system except a third leg, or something more fully developed like the Mass Effect 3 style "Reputation" system?

When will we have a full web support for the Security Key? Not just set one up but cancel it, set up a new one or delete it.

The support through phone is really not a suitable solution from many countries. Not all players are in the US/UK -_-

Can we get customisable tunes or a selection for the rhythm augmentation droid?

My guildies have also requested that Karaggas band play the benny hill tune during the aggro mess that is the rancor fight.

 

This may all be related to the fact that the male /getdown works amazingly well with benny hill.
