  1. Not understanding why you can't have 0/8 alt selection. Max faction on a companion gives the presence bonus as I understand it. But then, I can't possibly imagine running that many times through the planet storylines, I'm just not an alt kind of guy I guess.
  2. OMG, do you know who plays on what server? I mean do only west coast people play on west coast servers, and east coast people play on east coast servers. NO WAY!!!! Try this on. It is what it is. They do it when they think is the best time to do it, and if they adjust if for a couple of hours now and then it's probably for a good reason. Try looking at the bigger picture rather than your own life.
  3. Think about what you said and why it wouldn't work. THINK IT THROUGH.
  4. First world problems at its finest (most loathsome). Crying over a video game's late night down times for maintenance.
  5. You're right and wrong on the same thing for the same reasons. Most tanks that have played other MMO's feel like they have to hold agro on everything, that's their job and what they do. In TOR, you are 110% correct that the tank only needs to hold the big stuff and that the dps can handle everything else. As far as DPS hitting what you're hitting. At first I was going back to my previous MMO experience and wanting to be assisted. But /assist or even lazy assisting of attacking my target's target doesn't exist in this game. So it's actually pretty difficult for a DPS to do this in a large group of mobs that are closely gathered up. Instead, I would prefer that DPS pick off the lower end mobs first, the normal, then silver stars, then gold stars. And for the love of all creatures big and small, DPS LEARN WHAT AN INTERRUPT IS FFS!!!!
  6. So sick of this issue in MMO's. Every MMO that I have played that has PVP in it always has this issue. Balancing becomes a nightmare because PVE skills are tied into PVP and vice versa. If you buff an abillity in PVE, it's OP in PVP, if you nerf something in PVP then it's useless in PVE. When will devs learn that abilities should have different mechanics depending on the play style. This way you can tweek one without screwing up the other. I know it's more work than just one ability for all, but wouldn't it end up being less work over all because you wouldn't have the constant balancing issues. Note that I'm not slamming PVP, game on if thats your thing, just saying that it sucks that one always effects the other, and fixing one usually throws the other out of balance.
  7. 1.) Hardware and software resources are available. I'm sure it will be ok. 2.) 3D space combat is what it should have been in the first place. The current version on rails is, well, less than fun. 3.) Just becasue you don't like it, doesn't mean that "many" people wont. I would be willing to bet 3D space combat would be huge for TOR. Further more, if this 3D combat could be worked into a PVP match as well, I think it would be pretty damn EPIC. I don't even PVP, but I would all day in that type of warzone.
  8. Assassins are not Juggs. Our stats end up being different, likewise with powertechs. To say "Juggs this so you that" means that you know squat about the class.
  9. I read (listened to) Red Harvest awhile ago, and I liked it. At first I was wondering if they were the source fo the Rakghouls when the Raks got introduced in SWTOR. And I love zombies, also, im 35.
  10. I apologize for sort of derailing this thread, but I didn't want to start a new one just for this question. I have been a Tankassin since launch. Since 50, I have been wearing the crafted (not columi) implants and earpiece. •Earpiece - [Veracity Hyperaccelerated Resistance Module] •Implantx2 - [Veracity Nano-Optic Resistance Implant] I could, but have not upgraded to the Rakata pieces that you can get for Daillies or the Columi ones that the recipes drop out of HM ops for. Reason being, I'm not willing to give us so much defense/absorbtion for accuracy that is a complete and total waste. I was hoping someone could eithr confirm that I'm doing it right, or explain to me that I'm failing, and why the Rakata pieces are better. Thank you for any help that can be offered.
  11. Voss has a similar one that is social V i believe.
  12. For someone who is talking about game comprehension, you seem to lack a lot of it. Please justify to me why it would be light armor only. By your logic, the armor was actually just supposed to be used to look cool, not actually be functional. So people were supposed to just sit on the fleet, or a planet of their choice and bebop around in social armor, but when they want to actually go do something in the game like questing or run a flashpoint they were supposed to change into their real armor? That's what makes sense to you? In the same sentiment I mentioned previously, Orange armor, social or otherwise is a great idea. Just the social portion of it was generally executed in a less than functional manner. A fix is coming, but why was it this way in the first place, and on top of that, why was more added even though most of the classes can't/won’t use it because of it only being light armor.
  13. I'm sorry, but your response is just lame. It's great that they are going to fix social armor (finally), but the quoted response is ridiculous. If you know something is broken, why are you going to add to it. They know social armor is in light armor only, so why are they adding it as a quest reward for a new world event daily? That is basically saying FU to 75% of the classes. On top of that, it makes BW look lazy and sloppy. The current forms of social armor, everyone is just dealing with till the patch comes out, but adding more as a sought after quest reward is just poor planning on their part. They should have just offered more tokens, and then orange armor from the event vendor. The world event is fun, the game has so many positives, but it's things like this that are really dragging it down. It's just a constant stream of great ideas with piss poor implementation.
  14. Almost everything from this point forward should be bound to legacy. I mean, that was kind of what the point was right, to have all your toons be part of some big family, group, network?
  15. While I agree to a point that its similar/the same as previous MMO's, I have to wonder why they didn't take any of the lessons learned from previous MMO's and apply it to their game? Imagine if the GTN was a clean, functional, broker that sold items from both factions, and there wasn't the two different GTN's, the second of which no one uses. Imagine if abilities functioned one way in PVE, but had similar, but more relevant effects in PVP. No more nerfing abilities to function properly in PVP, but making them useless in PVE and vice versa, just tweak what needs to be tweaked and it won’t affect anything else. Imagine if there was no real distinction between Heavy, Medium and Light armor, there was just appearance, and the user attached some form of modification to give them the stats they were desired/needed. One set of slots and mods for PVE, and one for PVP. Gear no longer gets nerfed to be fair in one, while making it useless in the other. Also, after 12+ years of MMO gaming isn't obvious by now that people cherish the look of their avatars, and want to have them look a certain way without sacrificing stats that they would get from end game items. Imagine if you could have a guild bank at launch, a shared account based bank for all of your toons on one account, at launch. Imagine if most of the stuff in game could be shared with the other toons on your account. Why do I have to run a boat load of dailies on one toon, only to do it on another toon when he/she reaches 50? I’m board to death of doing them by then, and the thought of dragging another toon through them for the next several weeks is enough to make me want to find a bleach and Windex cocktail. Commendations and other "currency" types should be account based. The list could go on and on, but I fear I’m already in the TL:DR realm.
  16. I have been reading a lot of the SW books since last October. I think i stopped reading Fatal Alliance because it started so bad, but if it's good I will go back. I just finished the Thrawn series, which I know a bunch of people loved. It was terrible. and not in that 3rd grade reading level way either, it was just terrible. Im not sure what other EU books I should be getting into though.
  17. I admit, Jaesa looks nice in a bikini. And if you think about it, what does it matter if a jedi/Sith wears armor? Lightsabers go right through armor, so meh.
  18. Along these lines, I think it would be awesome if you could have Legacy Commendations and tokens. I don't need the bazillion Columi tokens that I have aquired through running the end game and HM FP's, but my alt that just hit 50 sure could, and I certainly don't feel the need to run through all the HM's again just to get him geared when I have tons of commendations on my main.
  19. Which one of those is a top rated successful MMO? And I mean making money, not how much you like the game.
  20. Question is, will social gear have augment slots or will you be able to RE social gear to learn to craft it so that it can be made with augment slots? Because if the answer is no and no, then social gear is still useless to people who wish to raid.
  21. Like whats her face from the first Darth Bane book.
  22. Sorry i still count the descending platforms as phases as well, my bad for not being up on the current status of whatever it is currently be named or not.
  23. And as mentioned before, Social Gear will likely not have the augment slots that critted oranges will have, so Social Gear will never be BiS. On the off hand that it does have augment slots, you still need to raid to get the raid gear so you can rip the mods out of it to put into the orange/social gear. This does leave me the question of what is the point of Social Gear, if no augment slots, no one will use it at end game. So it's only for while you're leveling, and you don't actually have the social rank to buy the gear? Makes little to no sense to me.
