  1. Title says it all - once you have a ship, it would be fantastic to be able to call a shuttle to take you from the surface of the planet to your ship directly. Just whack a button on the side of the QT map screen.
  2. Personally, I found the first boss of Lost Island much more challenging with melee dps. We steamrolled the entire instance with two arsenal mercs for dps, an assassin tank, and a sorc healer. Only complaints were the sorc having to deal with the post-nerf turret healing in mobile fights. Previous attempts with melee dps were incredibly painful on the first boss, as it means moving both the dps AND the tank, and frequently having two dots to clear (post APAC transfers I expect it will be technically possible to interrupt before the first tick, atm with our latency it's not).
  3. This makes me sad, but that is because I'm a sucker for Blizz. That said, tanking companions are a bit crap in the latter part of the levelling experience. The only way to make them useful is to keep them constantly overgeared - ie, be an armormech or a cybertech. At cap you can feed him raid hand-me-downs and he is handy.
  4. We've had almost one full weekend of raiding in the last month, and I wouldn't want us to get any crazy ideas about uptime. Also, if you could nerf my main by accident some more (heatseeker derp derp) that would be great
  5. How does swapping knockback for knockdown change the scenario you're describing? They still can't hit anyone. Changing knockback to knockdown would *not* be a nerf, it would just make the reduced area more manageable. Given it's current fail state, I'd go so far as to count it as a buff.
  6. Nerf Tracer and Buff Heatseeker was a perfectly reasonable tweak to the class. Hell even with a slight decrease in overall DPS it was still fine. But this? Nerf tracer and then a couple of weeks later nerf the new heatseeker as well? That's just cold. Combined with the now pointlessly small DFA, my raiding main is now a liability. Awesome. And it's not like I can just spec pyro, since we're already heavy on mDPS.
  7. The only good thing about my wasting two million credits on a fake mount that is only usable for brief periods, is that by doing so I prevented anyone else in my guild from getting similarly ripped off. They should have been similar to sage/inquis dash, but out of combat only.
  8. I'm really frustrated with how this has been handled. No character created after February 28th qualifies - so if I want to play another toon I need to make it on the destination server. But I don't know if the server we'll end up transferring to is one of the existing ones, or whether BW will decide a new server is needed to cope with the influx of players, or what. And because I can't make another toon on the server my guild is currently on, so levelling sucks anyway (isolated, no support from my main and other alts, etc). Seriously, February 28th was a f*cking eon ago, in MMO terms.
  9. Thanks for the post/spreadsheet, that's fantastic Question for you - can you include implants and earpieces for the current/new rakata sets? I've been told that BW has moved the secondary stats around, and I'm keenly interested in whether the implants for say, combat medic, include crit. Because otherwise having a big chunk of Surge with no Crit is completely nuts...
  10. We use the imperial target marker for that purpose specifically because it can be bound. However, there are a few shortfalls with it where the proper target marks work better. 1) There's only one mark - so you can use it for marking burn targets to focus fire, but it's not much good for splitting up CC targets etc. 2) It's too small - it is very hard to see it sometimes in the chaos of a group fight. This could be rectified by either animating it (an up and down bounce or a pulsing blink?) or making it bigger and brighter 3) It doesn't line up properly on large targets - it seems to be positioned in relation to the centre of the target, rather than the head. Where the normal marks turn up reliably above the mob/player, and have that neat scaling effect on distance, the imperial target marker triangle often disappears inside the torso of larger mobs. So, either hotkeys for normal target marks (in which case the social item is defunct) or an improved social item, or both for maximum awesome. Ideal would be bindable slots for the target marks, and an improved flashier mark from the social item, allowing us to still use it for easy focus marking.
  11. Hey kids - remember that the scheduled maintenance is *not* at 7PM AEDT as stated in the post (http://www.swtor.com/blog/reminder-scheduled-maintenance-march-20th-2012) BW have neglected the different DT changeover between the states and downunder - maintenance will be at 6PM AEDT same as last week.
  12. Don't bother, the material cost is insane. Only the reusables are worth it, and their CD is stupid high.
  13. CC is a critical part of the PvE in this game (and rightly so, aoe tanking games are boring as sh*t). Please be more specific about your QQs. You want the resolve bar to fill faster, not a reduction in CC abilities.
  14. Hey, A quality of life request for crewskill management. At the moment I've noticed I'm doing a lot of unnecessary clicking when sending all my crew members off on missions at once. This is because the crewskill mission window defaults to the highest available level every time, and there aren't normally enough missions at that level that I want to do to keep them busy. So, the small QOL aspect I'd like to suggest is that when you select say, level 41-48 instead of 49-50, send a crewmember off, open the next crewmember... it is still on 41-48, not back to 49-50 again. Alternate fix would be if the mission selection window didn't close after assigning a crew member to a mission. Cheers Ornery
  15. Can we get customisable tunes or a selection for the rhythm augmentation droid? I'm envisaging something along these lines - http://bit.ly/zzINHU My guildies have also requested that Karaggas band play the benny hill tune during the aggro mess that is the rancor fight. This may all be related to the fact that the male /getdown works amazingly well with benny hill.
  16. The eight week delay on server transfers has ensured that our entire guild is staying put, on your heaviest load server. Great work team! You've launched servers that all your most dedicated Asia/Pacific players won't use! I'm sure the gameplay experience will be epic for all the level 1 toons reserving names with sweet pings. Meanwhile we'll keep on progressing through ops with punishing latency, and your american customers will continue to complain that their server is full of aussies and kiwis. Pretty disappointing. PS if the legacy system is the problem, take a snapshot of our xp now, transfer the toons with no legacy xp, and dump the xp on us later. It's not like we're using the levels atm.
  17. Hi, I'd like to suggest you ruthlessly knock off the collectables system incorporated in a certain other recent mmo that I shall call schmift. The artifact system in schmift started at early levels, and involved Very Shiny Pretty Things* that would just be scattered around where you were anyway. Collecting enough of them could be traded in for random items (cosmetic Very Silly Hats for example) and earn titles and other non-game-impacting things. They were ridiculously addictive, and not particularly complicated. Transparent time sink in a way that wasn't chronically hate-inducing. Not obligatory, but definitely had a dedicated core of players absolutely hooked. I'm just sayin'. You could do that. -Ornery *seriously check out what they look like in-game. They cry out "I am pretty pick me up" when you catch a glimpse in your periphery.
  18. Except that the blaster damage is additional to your beam charger, and the ship armor is total. So its an 11.7% reduction in armor in exchange for a 1.2% increase in blaster damage (assuming you have grade 3 beam charger for 60 base blaster damage, grade 4 armor adds 4 damage, grade 2 armor adds 3 damage) Totally not worth it until they fix the stats. Based on the grade 3 (green vendor) armor, I think they are meant to be swapped.
  19. Just to confirm - Imperial are also receiving Republic-only schematics from mission skills. Have seen a schematic that only works for smugglers and jedi, and one that only works for jedi. Not much help to my bounty hunter
