  1. I'm the same. I can WZ all day, and love to switch up characters when I need a change in playstyle.
  2. Pro tip OP: quit worrying about medals and just have fun. If you play enough, your valor and commendations will still come naturally. I retired my 50 recently and have a few new characters going. A level 47 Marauder who has rank 47 valor, and... A level 32 Assassin who has rank 32 valor. I focus only on objectives in WZ and couldn't care less about gaining medals with either of them and still get plenty of valor and commendations from natural play.
  3. I will spread the message to my server (Darth Malak)!
  4. No, this is a terrible idea. People need to learn positioning and have better situational awareness. It's as simple as that.
  5. No, you buy level 20 and 40 PvP gear as you go. Once you have your 40 PvP gear bought, save up to buy a champ bag, then save some more so you can buy five more bags when you hit 50.

Did you even read the OP's post?

OP, next time you deal with a person with an attitude like that, just remember that they were in your shoes at one point, too. No one magically becomes geared when they hit 50. No one. It takes time and effort. You're dealing with elitist attitudes; people who want to look down on and mock those who are not on their gear level, while at the same time forgetting that they were once a noob themselves when they first started to PvP at 50. They deserve nothing more than an /ignore as far as I'm concerned. Keep doing what you're doing. As long as you're having fun, that's all that matters anyway.
  9. Improve your situational awareness and learn positioning. Get better at both, and you won't be wearing flames and drinking acid so much.
  10. I personally think you're exaggerating OP. I actually solo que PvP more than I do with my guild, and still win roughly 3 out of 4 matches. Yes, occasionally I'm grouped with people who are more concerned with medals (or are just plain bad), but you need to take the bad with the good. You can't win every WZ. Sometimes, you're just outplayed by the better team. It happens. But you don't find PvP to be fun anyway, so I fail to see what the point of this thread is. I think you're just bored and wanted to complain about something.
  11. OP, you're not allowed to complain about PUGs. People have been complaining about PUG PvP for years. Nothing will ever change. We've all experienced the pain. Find a guild, and start joining as a group. You'll start to win more. /endthread
  12. Why does there have to be an incentive to PvP? What is it with you people? What happened to just PvP'ing for fun in these games; for the competition of facing real players?!

  14. I've been playing in WZ since beta, and I have yet to hear anyone call out snow/grass. It's East/West. Stop trying to be cute and take the .5 seconds to look at your (main) map if you're turned around and head in the direction that's calling for help. You guys are making it way more difficult than it is. Way more difficult. It's kind of funny, actually.
  15. I'm of the opinion that Bioware needs to implement better incentives to keep players playing in a WZ match (even when things go south) as opposed to implementing all of these penalties/deterrents. This feels more like a band-aid than an actual solution.
  16. So, because YOU don't like it, it should be removed. Even though there are MANY of us who love it. Who are you to think the game should cater to your tastes and your tastes only?! You're nothing special OP. Stop making stupid threads like this.
  17. No, do not disable it. Huttball is the most original (and the most fun) instanced PvP experience I've ever had. I still prefer open world PvP in my MMOs, but if I had to play instanced PvP, I'd play Huttball all day and night.
  18. You're a sociopath for killing pixels in a video game? Gotcha.
  19. The OP's story makes me very, very, very sad Bioware. Star Wars? More like Boring Wars. Where's the conflict in this game?
  20. Because games like EQ/WoW (and the countless games influenced by them) have trained people to expect shiny rewards for their time and effort. The gear progression is nice, I must admit, but if it wasn't there, I'd still PvP for fun. Class Missions/Side Quests/Flashpoints/Operations, anything PvE can go pound sand. I just want to PvP.
  21. OP, I've experienced that multiple times; more than I care to remember... The reason it happens is the same reason turrets get ninja'd in Civil War, and Huttball carriers run free and untouched—because people are so focused on killing that red name they forget what the actual WZ objective is. Most (bad) players are easily distracted.
  22. The streak continues... Up to 28 losses now. This is getting ridiculous. I don't know why I continue to get thrown on that team—you know, the team that's full of people who either don't care about winning or are just plain bad. I put forth a full effort. I focus on the objectives, but you know, only one or two people can only do so much. We can't carry the entire team. My blood pressure is rising steadily.
