  1. So, second time posting about population problems. Yup...they're still here...and I haven't heard any plans for 1.2 to fix it. 1.2 Is expected by, what? end of April? So lets say it 1.2.x or 1.3....that would bring us into May-June time frame. I can assure you, I will be long gone before then. I'm not going to rant, just pointing it out. I'm not the only one who's brought this up.
  2. I've already cancelled my subscription partly because of this. Maybe I'll renew...who knows....
  3. Interesting how many trolls there still are. I am not "bad", I am not "QQ'ing". I actually gave constructive criticism. Maybe removing it is drastic, but it needs to be reworked As I stated previously, I don't suck at huttball. I get tired of losing and being underpowered. I can give 110% and it still doesn't mean as much b/c i can't fly across the screen or sprint thru fire for a goal. As other ppl have said, you get 70%+ huttballs....After playing 10 games a day, you really start to see all the flaws. Fine, maybe ops/scoundrels are the only ones that are not buffed in. I've already stopped playing them (and i leave right away most of the time). But I hear now they're gonna institute a deserter debuff, so now it's gonna be jammed down my throat. Also, the same philosophy doesn't extend to the other WZ's. I love the other two. The whole thing about melee being able to move and dps is BS tho as all casters have instants and snipers can still own your face up close.
  4. Wow, i'm surprised by the turn out for this. If you could, try to be constructive. I gave many reasons. Try to counter those rather than saying "i like it". I understand you like it, but why. I am a scoundrel if you must know, but i also play alts and play with friends/family so i have a pretty broad view. That being said, please leave alts out of the conversation. The game is balanced for lvl 50. I know how to play, but like all the other people have said, it's kind of pointless after a while. I can stealth to their base, never get a pass, and be useless the entire game waiting for a pass that's never going to happen. Also, when people run by, all they need is an aoe that's semi close before i'm F'd. I can get on their healer, and get knocked back instantly. Then I have to wait for the vent to hit me in the correct direction. I can get on their carrier. This is usually my best bet since i can still slow, do dmg, and aoe cc a bit (cybertech grenades). Even then, same thing as with healers, i get knocked back. You cannot ignore the facts that I originally presented; other people have even echoed them. Many of you talk about utility (speed, grip, shield..etc..). However, they are not evenly spread across the clsses. Maybe you guys think it's fun b/c you're one of the OP classes, which is fine. Usually you strive for balance, and that's the last thing I think when I think of huttball. Hell, when I play my wife's 20's sage, i have a lot more fun (but as stated above alts aren't endgame). Even if the game is not completely removed, it needs to be revamped. The name "froceball" fits all too well.
  5. Thank you Biowar for making me feel stepped. You guys are so cocky and have such bloated heads....You think you've got the greatest thing since sliced bread. You guys launched WAY too many servers. Guess what, a lot of people didn't start subscriptions. So, now we have too many servers and severe under-population. Right now, I play on Firkrann Crystal. I just chose one that wast EST PVP. For no reason of my own, I am now condemned to a dead server. You guys (Swtor/devs/marketing dept) won't shut down servers or merge them because that would give off the perception that populations are low or decreasing. What you SHOULD do is come out and say "Hey we launched too many servers and are being proactive to increase player satisfaction". You won't do that either b/c then you'd have to admit that you're wrong. Oh well, eventually something will happen. Either you'll see you're running 20 servers (and paying for them) for no reason, or people will leave and force your hand. You guys haven't been proactive about anything, so why would you about this? Instead of fixing population which effects EVERY aspect of the game, you fix stupid things. Lets fix chests in ilum becuase we have no fore-thought. Lets NOT fix raid Master loot, even though that effects tons of people (8 or 16 at a time...). You even fix stupid GUI things like quickbar CD effects;which btw takes you guys 4 tries before you give up and say "you do it yourself". You guys won't fix the game, so I guess I should cancel. You guys show you don't care, don't listen, have no foresight, and no after thought. People have said that this game feels like a solo/console game. I guess if that is your goal, low populations are working as intended. The worst part is, I really stuck up for you guys. I told everyone I knew that this was going to be a ****** game. I had a lot of faith. That has since crashed, burned, and turned mostly to hatred. Unless **** changes SOON, I'm cancelling. You should have marketed this game as a STAR WARS GAME, with a little hint of MMO. Not a MMO with Star Wars. I don't give a flying **** about cut-scenes or voice acting (as this must have been where you spent the most time/effort. It sure wasn't in MMO aspects).
  6. Huttball is one of those "good idea, bad execution" things. Sounds like a good idea, "you can pass the ball". However it ends up being much less fun and much more frustrating. 1. It extremely favors ranged. They can sit there and cast on you continuously as you try to run away. As melee, if you hit someone, they drop down a level or run into the vents. If you follow in the vents, you'll never got the right way. However, with ranged, if u run in the vent. They cast on you the whole time you're in the air and unable to do anything. I can't tell you how many games the other team just puts 2-3 sages on their rung over the middle and they completely dominate. There's a fine line between coordinated and broken. 2. Melee are severly under-represented. In order to get somewhere, you have to run around the whole map, or try the air vent (which usually takes 4-5 tries, as ranged are beating the sh** out of you.) 3. LoS sucks. Ranged are still OP b/c they can move slightly, but healers get stuck will heals not going off. Anything casted (not instant or channeled as most dps casters are) is f***ed by crappy environment LoS. 4. Premades take this WZ to a whole new level. I always end up against premades who just roll my face. The amount of coordination required from random people is stupid. 5. Some classes are far too OP'd. Sages can shield and sprint thru fire and lava. Grip and stun into lava/fire is dumb and only available select few. Gripping allies make the notion of passing unnecessary and actually a bad decision. Knockbacks are also very OP and ruin the game more often than not; especially since they barely raise resolve. 6. Passing the ball is broken. If you happen to accidentally drag the mouse when u click the throw button, you will pass it when you release; which is VERY clunky and an unfortunate mistake since you've also ****ed your camera in the process. How about when you pass the ball from stun/utility? If you click somewhere to pass it, and you get gripped or stun'd, you will pass it to that same ORIENTATION, not position, but orientation of the ground target to the player. If I click 10m in front of me, but I get gripped 20m in front of me, I will pass it 10m in front of me. So, instead of the 10m I originally intended, i pass it 30m in front of my original position (oh and the ball disappears so you can't even tell where the F it went.) This is by no means a complete list, but just what I've seen and can remember right now. This makes a great disparity across how classes perform and how much fun they have. It has taken you guys (SWTOR/Devs) long enough to fix silly bugs like gripping into spawn points and crap that should have been there from day 1. I wonder how long it will take you guys to fix this broken WZ. The worst part is, I really stuck up for you guys. I told everyone I knew that this was going to be a bada** game. I had a lot of faith. That has since crashed, burned, and turned mostly to hatred. Unless s*** changes SOON, I'm cancelling. You have said that the response to PvP has been more than you thought. So, you should put more development time/effort into it. I don't see this, which shows your lack of ability to listen to the player base and community as a whole.
  7. So, I find myself lacking meaning when I play now. Pre-nerf, I had a meaning. I could take people out. Often it meant that I had to vanish and re-open. But hey, using CD's to boost dmg shouldn't be a bad thing. So, now i am a VERY melee-heavy, weak hitting, piece of nothing. I don't understand why it's a bad thing that we could burst people down; that's all we had. From stealth: 1. I now hit like a wet noodle. My sustained dps blows due to energy. In PvP this is unacceptable and I can't kill anything anymore. I am a Stealth assassin(literally, not the imp advanced class). I am supposed to blow people up. You have turned me into a melee fighter with a meaningless stealth and no utility. 2. The nerf was too much. Nerf the dps OR the stun. You nerfed BOTH, and nerfed flechette rounds at ALL times. So it sucks even if I am unstealthed. 3. People see through stealth very easily and AoE pops us out very easily. So, even when i play my *** off to open on someone from stealth, it's disappointing. 4. From what I've seen, we're supposed to be the superior stealth class over shadows. I don't see this. They get a sprint to close gaps, 30m ranged stun...etc... 5. Out of stealth we're useless. (below) Out of stealth: 1. We are VERY melee heavy. Once we're out of stealth, we just get ***** by ranged. All the DoTs and AoE's pretty much make vanish worthless, since you're instantly pop'd out. The GCD between using Dodge and Vanish are the real killers there as well as the fact we can't Macro. 2. Nerf to flechette rounds at ALL times, not just from stealth. So when I do have to stay vis i can't kill anything. 3. Our abilities fill Resolve MUCH faster than other classes. 2 abilities fill opponents resolve. However, mine never fills and I die. (Sages/Sorcs can cast all day w/o filling it, guardian/juggernauts can charge/push/chrage/choke and not fill it...etc...). The fact that these ppl have combos and can lock down better than an assassin/rogue is retarded. Lockdown isn't a bad thing. If that's what you spec for, that's what you do. You will suffer other places, but that's what you chose. 4. We have no utility other than stealth. Shadows get sprint. Jedi knights get leap/push/choke. Scoundrels get jack ****; we have no sprint/knockback/grip. I have one CC break, which is mostly useless. As soon as i use it, someone from 30m+ roots/dots/stuns me all over again. 5. Healing blows. If i get flechette rounds, which is the only reason to actually go into scrapper, I can only put up to 10 points into healing. This gives me a lowered chance of interrupt and UpperHand when i use the basic heal. However, this is completely meaningless in PvP. Due to the casting time and weak amounts, it makes no difference. I have to stop DPS'ing to gimp heal. Yes, this has helped a couple times, but is no reason to gimp us. The fact that we're a healer than can stealth if spec'd, doesn't mean we should have no other utility and be left to rot if we don't spec for it. Take away my heal and give me back my burst. (On a side note, i don't know who the **** thought scoundrels needed the first nerf. have you seen sage/sorc or rocket spammers? I wish I had a win button...) We are a burst dps class, especially in pvp. You took that away. We have energy for a reason, we burst once and we're spent. We are supposed to go in and kill one person. I can see where the nerf came from, but I think it was too much and too widespread. Three moves is too much; it should have been one at a time. No one brought up the point that after opening on someone pre-nerf, you had barely enough energy to do anything. Flechette, shoot first, flechette, back blast...that was it. I find myself as a stealth assassin/rogue that can't kill anything. When I do open and can't kill them, they **** me from range or sprint away. I have no utility to counter theirs and I die like a *****. Not to say that this is 100% true, but i should be able to 1v1 almost anybody. That is what I do. If I wanted to make a jedi knight, i would have, but I made a scoundrel. You guys (devs) don't know how to make a good stealther. We were severly nerfed and given no compensation. You didn't even use lube. You guys really let me down in every way. I'm looking around for something to do after I cancel.
  8. I will try to split up my greviances to take them point by point. (I am posting because I can no longer play in these conditions. Before I go play Xbox or something, I figured I'd at least express my concerns and have some posts to reference when I cancel my subscription.) So I hear that in the next patch you're going to introduce WZ deserter debuff for leaving early. I think this is premature. 1. Possibly due to bad population but also lack of balance. If I don't play primetime, I get repeatedly owned in warzones. I get the same damn premade, and I get the same retarded team. There is no reason I should have to put up with this due to YOUR bad mechanics. You should implement cross server warzones before you introduce deserter debuffs. I the player, should not have to deal with YOUR, the game devs etc.., shortcomings in gameplay. 2. I cannot choose which WZ I want to play. I read the post 'blah blah blah picking will hurt gameplay b/c there's always someone that hates WZ A and someone that hates WZ B blah blah blah...'. I dunno about you guys, but out of the 3 warzones, I get huttball a vast majority of the time. And it's ALWAYS vs a ******* premade. Until we can choose which BG we can queue/not-queue for you should not introduce a wz deserter debuff. (As stated above, this could also be fixed with cross server warzones). And just a few side notes: -There is no reason you should have waited this long to introduce cross server warzones. I guess you guys have inflated heads and thought that the population from the first 30 days would last. -Only 3 Warzones thoughout the WHOLE game is annoying. Why 3? Because WoW has 3? Who the **** cares what other people do, you're a seperate game, you should do what YOU think. At least in WoW they staggered them. -There are no premade filters on PvP. Maybe this is b/c populations are low. Again, this is not my fault. There is no reason i should get repeatedly owned by the same damn premade all day/night. I don't care if my queues are longer. I can't even farm medals against those guys. -You guys say a lot of **** is 'in the process' and what not. To me that is a lame excuse for a lack of development and foresight. So, to reiterate. Warzones deserter debuffs are not where you should be focusing your time/efforts YET. You should try to fix pvp and actually think about where the players are coming from. You said in a post that you were overwhelmed by the response to PvP. Maybe that is why there is an overall lack of polish to it. (And before you all troll me for talking about population; yes, I am going to post in other forums about it.) The worst part is, I really stuck up for you guys. I don't give a flying * *** about cut-scenes or voice acting (as this must have been where you spent the most time/effort. It sure wasn't in MMO aspects).
