  1. As of 2 min ago, I just lost my 26th WZ match in a row. This is over the course of 3 days. I honestly did not believe it could get this bad, but it has. I guess I can't complain too much; my guild has been MIA lately, so I've been forced to que solo with PUGs, but wow, I've never experienced this much losing before. In any game. I think I'm cursed, actually. What's your worst losing streak so far?
  2. We're all crying tears of frozen water. We'll miss you! Don't let the door hit you on the way out.
  3. Healers are easy to kill (even when guarded) if people focus on them. That's the real trick, though. I can't tell you how many times I've marked healers during matches only to see my teammates bash the tanks/dps while the healer(s) stands around, barely touched.

    MVP voting

MVP votes are meaningless fluff—the bump in rewards from receiving one is barely worth mentioning. Quit worrying about them.

    CC and You.

I like CC (as annoying as it can be sometimes). I like that it throws a wrench into a fight; it's a curveball. I don't want PvP to turn into everyone just bashing/shooting each other until someone dies. How boring. *edit* I play a Marauder by the way...
  6. Can't say I've seen this one yet. It doesn't surprise me to hear it's happening, though.
  7. I personally don't go into a WZ until I'm level 14 (for sprint). BUT, if people are serious about trying PvP, then they need to get into ASAP. I'm tired of these "pro" players telling others they shouldn't que until they're high level. If you want to become good at PvP, you need to start early and take your lickings. You need to LEARN and gain EXPERIENCE. Level 10 is an appropriate time to start learning. Ignore the OP everyone.
  8. Trolls are going to troll. The OP can't be serious... The idiocy in this game astounds me if he is.
  9. East/West. People need to learn how to use their map. People need to learn directions. If someone starts using the left/right terms, I politely ask them to open their map and start using East/West instead because they're confusing people. East/West works for both factions. End of discussion as far as I'm concerned.
  10. Interesting responses so far... The loud mouths in this game, to me, are like white noise. Easy to tune out. INFORM new/bad players, DON'T belittle—you'll get better results (I know I have). If they still play bad or ignore helpful tips, then it's a lost cause and you're better off spending your energy elsewhere, especially if you're playing in a PUG. Getting angry over a game/loss says more about you than them.
  11. I'm not talking about the friendly banter that goes on in the general chat channel, I'm talking about the ops chat for your own team. There's always that one really pissed off guy/gal who, when things begin to go south, will start calling everyone on their team every name in the book. No need to repeat them here as it's too long of a list, but you know who/what I'm talking about. We've all experienced it in PUGs. I can take it because I know I'm giving my best effort and trying to win, but I kind of feel bad for those who are new to WZ and/or trying to get better. Screaming at people and belittling them doesn't help, in fact, they're probably more likely to tune you out and not listen at all. I understand the frustration of playing in PUGs, but seriously guys, try to be a bit more constructive. We want more people to PvP, we don't want to turn them off from the experience.
  12. There's nothing wrong with rolling Empire. People like what they like. I personally happen to like the mirrored Sith classes a lot more, plus, I've never been a fan of the Jedi or the "good" guys. It had nothing to do with knowing I'd be in a more populated/popular faction. The problem is that Bioware didn't add a third faction which would have tempered a lot of the problems we're seeing now. Blame them, not the players.
  13. No. Everyone always wants PvP to be about "skill." So let's get geared up, and see who can mash their rotation buttons faster with a level playing field.

    PvP Medals

I can counter this easily. GREATLY increase the rewards for WINNING the warzone. I'm talking a HUGE increase, too. MASSIVE! Winning will give you far more Valor, XP, Commendations, Credits, AND, make your medals worth more. If you chose to do what you listed above, you're only going to hurt your team, probably lose the warzone, and in the end, your rewards will be much smaller and medals will be hardly worth anything. If the players are smart (I know, a stretch), they should start playing/working as a TEAM, and in the end, bath in riches and rewards.
  15. Knockbacks are fine. Just like the rest of CC in this game. Everyone wants to kill the enemy they have targeted, but sometimes, it just doesn't happen. That's PvP. As much as you QQ want it, there is no "I WIN" button in PvP.
  16. Bioware can remedy all of this lame play by completely eliminating medals for damage and healing, and give rewards based on objectives completed in each of the warzones. Enough is enough. Bioware you like to call these objective based PvP warzones. Well, then start rewarding those who complete the objectives and quit rewarding the rambo types who do nothing but hurt their team.
  17. I know this much... It's not all gloom and doom like the minority claims. It never is. Well, for some MMOs it is, but not this one.

    People BAD in pvp

This behavior is seen in all three warzones, not just Huttball. Bad players are bad players.

    People BAD in pvp

+1000 for you sir. You were able to admit that you were bad/useless to your team, BUT, you made the effort to learn/listen to get better. Kudos to you. You're the type of PvP'er I want to play with, even if you don't have a lot of experience. At the very least, you want to get better, and most importantly, win.

    People BAD in pvp

I agree. Some of the most exciting Huttball matches I've played were between two teams who knew what they were doing and fought tooth and nail until the end. A rated/ranked (or even a Head-to-Head, Win/Loss) Huttball league would be fantastic!

    People BAD in pvp

Which is why I lump those who don't listen/learn in with the same people who AFK.

    People BAD in pvp

We were all bad PvP'ers at some point—I doubt the majority of us were skilled at PvP during our first crack at it, whatever game it was in. Practice and experience made us better. So, I can't get too upset when I see poor PvP play, as long as they're willing to listen, learn, and put forth the effort to improve their skills if they're serious about PvP. My biggest beef is with the people who go AFK and those who don't even try (or don't want to listen) and just do their own thing because they're more interested in the rewards that come after the match is over. Neither couldn't care less about winning. The above mentioned are on every server, and on both factions. They're widespread, unfortunately.
