  1. OP, in my guild, we don't mark healers. We just call out their names in vent/chat, but we also have players who know to focus on healers and burn them down quickly. What will you do then? Ask BW to disable PvP chat or not allow vent? Removing the ability to mark the healers won't change anything. More than likely, you're still going to get focused and burned down. That's the life of a healer. Deal with it or re-roll.
  2. Translation: I'm a fake PvPer. You could of just written that instead of the BS you decided to spew. You're not a PvPer, you're an achiever disguised in that PvP gear you grinded like a masochist. You don't want this game to be about skill, you just want people to fall to their knees and be awestruck by your awesomeness; your title and gear. Like that somehow equates to being a good player. Checkout how GW and GW2 are handling PvP and gear. You might learn what real competitive PvP is about. It certainly isn't the masochistic grind fantasy all you fake PvPers daydream about.
  3. I don't. I just want to fight other players. I PvP'd in UO for years where gear didn't really matter (at least not to this extent), never once getting bored. I loved every second of it. Why? Because it was fun and my guildmates and I enjoyed the competition. The only people now a days who get "bored" if there's no carrot to chase, are those who were weaned/trained on games like EQ/WoW or their respective clones, where you're given a shiny piece of loot for every single thing you do.
  4. Uh, huh. Sure. If you and your team are such ******es, why does this thread exist and why are you complaining? I can read you like a book dude. You're scared.
  5. It's cute how you use the "welfare" term to describe your fear that other players will be just as geared as you, and very soon. When it happens, it'll be time to put up, or shut up. It'll be a time to separate the true skilled players and the people who have too much time. Because that's all it takes to acquire the gear and fancy titles right now. There's no skill involved. At all. If you want to feel like a special snowflake, go raid and brag about your hard work, effort and accomplishments on some PvE progression thread. As for PvP? Well, if it's going to be gear based... Then let players gear up quickly. And let the battles begin. Will you be ready when that day arrives chump?
  6. So in reality, this thread only exists because you're butt hurt you picked the wrong class. Gotcha.
  7. You're the one that keeps bringing up the word "skill", not me. See, I accept the fact that every class is unique and has their own toolbox to bring to WZ. I like that kind of variety. It adds spice to PvP. I don't play a Sorc, by the way. I'm a Marauder.
  8. How is hitting your 'throw the ball' bind key and clicking to pass anymore "skillful" than what you're complaining about? Like you said, Huttball is about positioning. Those sorc/sages who are pulling have to put themselves in a good position to do it, and also have situational awareness as to not draw the attention of an enemy before it happens. To quote Arnold... Stop whining.
  9. Complain, complain, complain, complain, complain. Huttball is just fine the way it is. No need to nerf/buff anyone's classes/skills/abilities. I've seen Huttball matches won with all sorts of different tactics, tricks and strategies. Why ruin the best WZ (hell, the best instanced PvP in any game to date)? The OP is just another exaggerator, like 99% of the posters on these forums.
  10. Well, I think I've heard it all now. And, NO to your idea OP.
  11. It would basically be a Battle Royale. I would play it.
  12. Only to those who think they're a special snowflake. Pro tip: most people don't give a ****. I give mad respect to people who show they can play their class and kick *** in battle. I don't fall to my knees and become awestruck over someone's fancy title. Bad players are just as capable of grinding their way to titles. Doesn't mean squat to me.
  13. How is letting everyone get geared up faster making PvP "easy?" Seriously, all I ever see on these forums are complaints about how this game is too gear focused and not more "skill" based. Let's all get geared up and see who can really fight. Sounds like someone is afraid he no longer will be able to roflstomp under geared players. Being a masochist by putting up with a painful time sink grind has nothing to do with how good of a PvP'er you are. Go raid if you want to brag about your "accomplishments."
  14. I'm in full Cent gear with a few Champ pieces. The teams I'm facing in full BM I barely scratch. It has nothing to do with ego. I'm actually pretty humble and modest when it comes to my skill level. I'm not the most elite PvP'er in the world, but I'm also not the worst. I think I'm above average in skill, I'm not a moron and play to the objectives. I utilize every skill in my toolbox and know all of the little tricks in every WZ. Even with all of that, I try to learn from my mistakes and strive to get better on a daily basis. Expertise is the name of the game, and if you don't have a lot of it, good luck! Let's stop pretending gear doesn't matter in this game.
  15. Ilum was never alive to begin with... I love me some open world PvP, but the whole performance fiasco and having to do PvE collect quests wasn't exactly my kind of fun.
  16. Not having sprint at level 1 is nothing more than a time sink. I always found it hilarious that I can force leap enemies before I can run fast. Just remove it as trained "ability" all together and increase our movement speed.
  17. There's a GEAR GAP in this game. A GEAR GAP! Do I need to repeat it a third time? If there wasn't one, then I couldn't care less about gearing up as quickly, but, as it stands now, there is one, and to even compete, I need to get the high end gear. I can take losses. I understand you win some and lose some. But not being able to even compete is very, very, very frustrating for a lot of people. The gap continues to grow wider every day, too.
  18. No complaints here. What's wrong with letting everyone gear up even faster? Answer: nothing. I thought you chumps want PvP in this game to be about "skill?" Well, pretty soon we'll get to see who uses gear as a crutch and who's actually good. I smell FEAR in this thread from those who aren't on board with these changes. Good job Bioware. You still have much to fix and re-design, but at least you're listening and on the right track. I almost want to re-up my sub again at the end of March, but I'm not convinced yet. Keep going, though.
  19. Don't you want PvP in this game to be about so called "skill?" If so, let everyone get geared quickly, and let's see what you're made of chump.

    Burn out

The only thing you have to blame for burnout is yourself. Not the game. Have some self control.
  21. Marauders. It takes a special kind of player to master that class. And when that class is in those special hands, it's pretty fun to watch.
