  4. Certainly aren't the only one who thinks the new Revan set is not that great. I think the original set is far more desirable. You're spot on about the detailing looking really low res. I guess its all a matter of personal taste but the reborn set is overpriced hugely.. it's a poor mans original set!
  5. I've had this twice now, no orbs ever spawned. The workaround I used as a DPS sage was to use my agro dump at 66% and 36% respectively. cloud mind. (his phase change is at 65% and 35%) Using cloud mind he never changes phases and its the simplest fight ever with absolutely ZERO challenge, just a few interrupts now and again. I hope it gets fixed, i'd love to fight him properly and there be an actual challenge. This is solo mode.
  6. DPS sage here, Had trouble with this the first 2 tries, it was bugged for me and I couldn't understand what the hell was happening. Workaround as I found out was to 'cloud mind' just before he trapped all my companions. at 67% then again at 37% doing this he doesn't change phases. and of course interrupt choke and saber throw whenever i could. Not ideal but worked. good luck

  8. Hi, I'm looking for a GSF focused guild. Have just transferred one of my toons from TOFN and would be great to fly regularly with a Guild wing. Predominantly a flashfire pilot but dabble with a strike from time to time.. Callsign: Siouxx (republic)
  9. I enjoy playing galactic starfighter enormously but in the week or so that I have been playing, I am noticing a trend that is beginning to become very disturbing and will only increase as this content is released to preferred and finally the F2P gamers. They are completely overpowered and it’s my belief they are exploiting and hacking because they don’t even appear on the scoreboards at the end, despite 1 shotting upwards of 80 or so starships each match. They camp specific areas AND they appear to be AFK throughout the entire match. The Ability to have 100% shield and hull penetration and 1 shotting the sturdiest of starfighters is so ridiculously over powered it’s insulting. In the lost shipyards, they constantly take out all manner of starships and they do this with relative ease as most pilots who succumb to their OP tactics are locked in heated dogfights, circling and boosting, retro thrusting and barrel rolling all over space while trying to engage the enemy. I am of course talking about the Asteroids. Please ban them. Also, I was not invited to a wedding or any kind of nuptial gathering, being informed i am leaving an engagement area and instantly being 1 shotted is also a disgrace. Thanks for listening.
  10. Hey, Just thought i'd share my set up for anyone who uses the G13 and razer Naga, played around with various combinations and found this one to be the best set up(for me) No macros or anything like that, 1 ability, 1 key, the left hand and thumb get a workout for sure during a match but it's all very comfortable and seems to work really well. I've since mapped all of the energy swapping to the razer naga mouse buttons 1,2,3 and 5 but started off having them mapped to the G13. for directional shield users they would also be perfect. G1,G2,G3,G4 (abilities) G5- Weapons G6= shields G7= engines G14= Standard G8=A G9=W G10=D G20=S (slow) G21=X (stop) G22=SPACE (boost) I've mapped the thumbstick to strafe Targetting using the naga buttons button 10= TAB (cycle nearest enemies) button 11= (target under crosshairs) button 12= (target last damaged you) Hope is of help to anyone with a G13 as a starting point for what feels comfortable for you.
  11. Have to completely agree with this post. I really don't see the problem with gunships at all. Like the OP, i play a scout pretty much exclusively and to me they are sitting ducks. At the start of each game, i make a mental note of who is flying a gunship and like the OP, am always on the lookout for them in between capping and patrolling satellites. the good gunship pilot will try to evade but more often than not it's simply a matter of time before they're respawning. The bad gunship pilot, will more often than not go back to the exact 'camping spot they chose st the start of the game and be fodder the whole match. I get 1 or 2 shotted from time to time, i'm mostly involved in a fight at the time but it's not just gunships that do that, EVERY ship has the ability to take someone out if they are pre-occupied. Leave gunships alone, they are fine as they are.
  12. I'm NOT comparing GSF to JTL AT ALL! they are so different it isn't even funny! GSF IS NOT a space 'sim' if you think it is then you clearly have no idea what you are talking about.
  13. They can't be compared at all.... JTL WAS a space flight sim.... GSF is a space arcade shooter! i LOVED JTL and i'm falling for GSF for completely different reasons....everyone keep banging on about GSF being a space 'sim' are completely off the mark! they're 2 completely different experiences sharing one thing in common...the IP.
