  1. I really hope that this whole Theron Shan arc ends, so that we can explore more about this strange new organization. I would love to pursue something new once again and have that as an excuse for more old companions to return in great fashion.
  2. People seem to be obsessed with the vanilla editions of a game mostly due to nostalgia. Other reasons such as removed/nerfed content can also apply. I share the same thoughts on other games such as 4Story and TERA, but mostly because recent updates have nailed these games to the wall. Can players even use the new models for this "vanilla" server? Also, one of the main reasons why Blizzard decided to do this was to strip their fanbase's attention from Private Servers.
  3. You replied to my un-edited response. I meant to say that the old models looked bad, especially humans and orcs. Their eyes and facial movements looked rather unsettling. The new updated models are much better. And yes, new hairstyles and eye colors... maybe even new faces would be a welcome addition. Anything else. No point in complaining about something like this. If the thread meant adding new hairstyles, eye colors and even new faces to the already existing models... that would be better. But asking for a complete new overhaul for a game that came out in 2011... That's a stretch.
  4. WoW's models looked absolutely hideous, given that the game was launched in 2004. They needed an update, badly. I fail to see what's exactly wrong with SWTOR's models? They've added new animations and facial expressions and even updated the eye color for players and NPCs. Usually, new important NPCs have their own unique facial textures and eyes. Shadows and other textures have also been updated. Each new set that has been released is far more detailed than the vanilla ones. This feels like a rather pointless topic.
  5. Consular seems to happen shortly after Saresh was elected. You even meet her predecessor at some point. Other classes are only aware of Saresh from start to end.
  6. I doubt most of the companions we encountered would abandon them just like that. One of my biggest dreams is a chance to encounter a different character that we do own in another's playthrough. Doubt that will ever happen, though.
  7. This has been troubling me for a while. What are the odds that eight impactful individuals managed to disappear over the course of five to six years? It's been pretty much established that all the Class Stories are canon and that the Jedi Knight, the Barsen'thor, the Grand Champion, Havoc's Major and the rest are canon to the TOR storyline and that they disappeared after the Outlander was deemed missing / captured. My question now is... how? I understand why. It's a mechanic to avoid issues with the KOTFE/KOTET storyline and an excuse to disperse as many companions as possible, but let's try to find a reason as to why this would happen. Is it possible that Arcann saw these individuals as a threat and decided to put an end to them? Perhaps they perished during a mission or simply ran away? I would like to know your thoughts on it.
  8. It's a mess here as well. Doubt we'll see a fix for it. :/
  9. I have never played an MMO with less than 80 ping. My average is around 100 and... I really never found a reason to complain about it. Reminds me of TERA Online players who quit the game because they couldn't get more than 70FPS at all times.
  10. I always liked the idea behind the rakghouls. Fighting them on Taris was fun, especially during the Agent storyline. Those two flashpoints dedicate to these things was also pretty fun... but I have to say that the THORN events are unbearable. On Tatooine, I decided to give this event a shot. I stopped by the vendors to see what they had available in them and I could already tell that to get any sort of item was going to require a grind. I snatched a few quests and started exploring the caverns. It didn't take long until things started to go down. Even though I'm level 70 and am familiar with my character abilities and have a decent survivable gear and influence with my companion, we kept being killed over and over again. These rakghouls' endurance and damage are really high. Not even a healing companion is capable of healing me in time. The quests themselves are too demanding. I can spend hours running in circles just to find a few items. I really want to get some of those items, but being killed every few minutes is not fun. It doesn't matter the character that I'm using, these enemies are simply too overwhelming.
  11. He's using a rifle now too? What's with BioWare replacing all the companion's original weapons?
  12. This kinda feels like a cry out for attention. Oh well, good luck!
  13. I came across gameplay footage of these two flashpoints and found them incredibly entertaining. I attempted to find more about it, but there was nothing in-game and both the Star Wars and SWTOR wikia are outdated. I'll assume that these were probably removed for... reasons? What's the point of adding fun content and spend money and resources if you're just going to make it unavailable for everyone else in the future? Is it really gone? What other content was removed?
  14. Please give us something... anything. I would hate to see all those years of stories, characters, and friends just to go all away. It's happened a lot of before, I don't want it to happen all over again.
  15. So... for a while now I've been trying to get reshade to work. I did everything right and the game simply refuses to open after it's installed. The few people I talked that had it working mentioned that they still had their Bitraider. I got rid of it in 2016 as it was causing major issues with my game. I don't recall what sort of issues, but I haven't been needing that program ever since. What am I doing wrong? I download the ReShade from the website and selected swtor.exe. I clicked yes and accepted installing all sort of files it provided. I got a preset from the site and added the files. I opened the launcher, logged in and clicked PLAY. The game refuses to open and is nowhere to be seen in the Task Manager. I've spent a few hours googling and found nothing similar to this issue. I even tried reddit to find an answer, and nothing. Ugh...
  16. I honestly wish there was a better way for me to gear up my main and alts. I honestly believe that a rating of 230 is enough.... but even so, I have a hard time gearing up my characters. Most of them are forced to use Level 68 gear because apparently having more than 500 tokens isn't enough for one character... and that just seems off. In Guild Wars 2 I could just use currency earned in dungeons to buy new gear. I could complete reward tracks or just buy it off their version of the Trading Post for reasonable prices. In TERA all I'd have to do to obtain basic endgame gear would have to be through dungeons or questing.
  17. From people's reports, it seems like BioWare lost more chances than it won. Not only are people missing out, some don't even realize there was a special item on sale to begin with! Guild Wars 2 sets its timer to a variety of colors to give that feeling that time is running out... and you know what? It works like a charm. Well, it used to. The game is doing really bad right now due to a variety of reasons, haha.
  18. I joined SWTOR in late 2016. I only got to subscribe really late... and something that I noticed is that there were a lot of people roaming around with these unique items. Jetpacks, Walkers... and so on. Recently I started digging some old threads and pictures of launcher layouts and I noticed that BioWare used to offer plenty of rewards to Subscribers besides the obvious. Unique sets, pets, mounts... you name it. And... I haven't really unlocked anything special ever since I subscribed and I fail to understand why? There is a lack of content as of right now, so I believe that giving players enough reasons to Subscribe would be a huge help, no?
  19. You'll most likely not be able to afford the sets via in-game. Their prices are absolutely abysmal.
  20. You can either end up waiting three days, three weeks or three months. You can never tell. You can also get a Support member who will try their best to help you... or someone who will just spat out already formulated messages and not address the issue whatsoever, closing the ticket immediately after. Not to sound too... rude, but if you find yourself dealing with a female employee, your chances are higher. I don't know why this is the case, but every single ticket of mine that saw a "solution" was handled by a woman. All the male employees that attended were simply... useless. I also noticed that if you get to reply to what they're sent, the male employees will rarely get back to you. There's a chance you might deal with up to ten different Support Members for just one ticket.
