  1. Dear Eric and Keith Jedi men type 2 across the galaxy is the butt of all the Imperial jokes for the last year almost now. Will this be fixed in 5.7 so that we can stop looking like 19th Century cross dressers with fake butts
  2. Wow Eric all I can say is I'm really impressed. You have come out of hiding from the year of 2016 and actually address some of these tough threads. Keep it up I like it:rak_03:
  3. Instead of closing launcher and killing Launcher.exe I just went to Task Manager and killed SWTOR in app section re log rinse repeat a few times and finally able to log in. Hope it helps
  4. The Bioware business model makes absolutely no sense. They would rather lose subs than gain them???? I'm in 3 guilds with progressive raiding and there were 10 raid groups, with the key word "were".That is 80 people that has left since Bioware decided to suspend OPS development. How can you not want people to stay subbed????? Anyways enough ranting Bioware about lack of OPS lets rant about BREAKING ops when you didn't even touch them in your quite underwhelming release after a 4 month long content drought......seriously. And now we have to wait until April for a fix. You all need to be fired.......I cant believe I pay for this sh.......
  5. "Impressive is the only word that describes Nico’s swashbuckling duster; you can be sure that wearing this duster sets you apart from other heroes." If the images of the Nico duster are true does the above not constitute false advertising by bioware since you have to be subscribed to get the coat but you can make the coat with dye already in game?
  6. I'm by no means a Mara/Sentinel expert but I do quite extensive parsing on both and used to main both in pre 3.0 and post 3.0 raiding. First of I started to test 3.2.1. with clipping ect and found it really clunky so I started tinkering and this is what I came up with - (Not seeing huge drop in DPS 100 if that much) Sentinel Speak Opener - Crap but always have been for me Rotation with Zen 30 Stacks - Leap+OS - ForeMelt (Activate Zen) - Merc Slash - Cauterize - Full MasterStrike - Merc Slash - Cauterize - Filler for focus regen - Leap+OS - Forcemelt Rotation in Between Zen stacks Leap+OS - ForeMelt (Activate Zen) - Merc Slash - Cauterize - Focus Abilities or if enough smash, twin throw ext - Merc Slash - Cauterize - Filler for focus regen - Leap+OS - Forcemelt. I do clip Force Melt on last tick if at all and Cauterize is up 99% of the time. So yeah did quite a few parses and have to say really enjoying this. Even taking my Mara for HM run tonight
  7. Must have been all the posts from the unhappy marauders and sentinels that dropped the server:D....not to mention the ghosts of sages sorcerers
  8. So this is my observations on the current state of the game and why I'm really worried that there is a real disconnect with Bioware internally and between Bioware and the players. Just to qualify, I've been playing SWTOR for 2 years, raid 3 days a week in a dedicated team (6/10 on current HM) and have 18 characters (All classes and sub classes). I do very little PVP so this is on PVE content mainly 1. The current class balance to PVE content is skewed heavily towards ranged DPS. We all know this and while its mainly on two bosses it basically lends itself to a RDPS heavy raid community. Nothing new here so lets move on. 2. With the current balancing actions Bioware has created a perception, I re-iterate a perception, among players that sage/sorcs are no longer a preferred RDPS class and therefore you basically will get snipe/gunslinger and merc/commando heavy raid groups. This kind of balancing is forcing players into certain classes NOT because the enjoy it necessarily!!! 3. The combat team has stated in there posts that they cannot balance for content and that content changes needs to be done by said team. We are seeing a push for new content coming before a real effort is made to fix the existing problem which is a lack of diversity in current content play styles. We never really get any feedback on the existing problems and therefore people get fed up and stop raiding/running end game content. As example on the Imp side I have seen 4 dedicated raid teams disband due to pure boredom with the current content and balance. 4. Current endgame content gearing is so skewed towards two raids because comms gear is so bad. There is simply no reason to really accumulate elite or ultimate comms other than the odd temporary bad mod or enhancement. While this was fine when 3.0 just hit it has created a situation where new "end game content" gamer's gets polarized for having said gear when running something as simple as a flashpoint. People are leaving a flashpoint or ops before even giving new players a chance (Insert Kuat effect in here as well). 5. Bioware stated before 3.0 last year that they learned from the lack of end-game content last year and would really work towards not making the same mistakes again. We are almost six months down the line from 3.0 and the same mistakes are being made again. 3.2 will have new story content and that's about it. I expect more players to leave the game once outfit designer fab is up, about a week later. 6. Recently I have been able run some old raids with my raid team and the difference quality is absolutely apparent vs Ravagers and TOS. When running old ops they are still fun, allot of fun actually, and the effort over the two new ops can clearly be seen. My personal view is simple, unless Bioware's different departments start talking to each other and some innovation is achieved in the game there is a real possibility that they will increasingly be losing players to games that are actually making efforts to talk to there communities and create meaningful content and balance. My final message, Bioware please wake up....this is Star Wars year after all 15 December is coming
  9. This was just suppose to be a little fun dig at dev's and nothing personal or malicious (WOW players). Anyways yes it takes a poke at the bad gearing choices the devs made and no its not intended to be so damn hard to read, blame the nice forum editing tools
  10. In a boardroom a long time ago at a studio far far away. Content Manager: We need to give players new content fast Designer: Let’s resurrect Revan since he didn’t die in the Foundry but just disappeared. PR Person: That was a smooth move btw developers, we have both Revan AND the Emperor as future content since both just went ….pooofff Designer: That was actually not intended it just seemed cool at the time. Community guy: Players are clamoring for new planets AND ops Designer: It’s settled then, Revan’s alive, we can create sweet content Lore Person: You do know we have done this to Revan 4 time now right?????? In a development area a long time ago at a studio far far away Dev 1: I just finished the ops content, seems a bit too easy Dev 2: Well let’s buff the bosses health, resists and damage dished out ........5 minutes later Dev 1: Ok, so I ran through the new content, they hit like trucks and have health pools the size of lake Geneva Content manager: Guys we will need some serious buffs for players to clear this Content intern: Nah just boost their endurance make healers job easier Content manager: Super idea just make all comm gear mods endurance heavy. ......5 minutes later Dev 1: OMG have you seen what they want on the new comms gear???? Dev 2: Yip seems some noob thinks Endurance = staying alive. Just make sure you keep the token gear BIS or we will have a riot on our hands. Dev 1: You know comms gear will be ABSOLUTELY useless now right??? Dev 2: Nah our average player isn’t that smart, they will fall for it. In a testing area a long time ago at a studio far far away Sort of tester 1: I just BIS’d out my Guardian DPS for this test, seems to be working as intended. Wannabe Tester 2: Erm you have a 90/10 split between power and crit and no alacrity????? SoT 1: Well you know crit is a little broken and Guardians and Sentinels don’t have a resource pool right? Means alacrity is sort of useless to them. WT 2: Well somebody says they need it, have you seen these token gear stats. All crit and alactrity for Guardians, Shadows and scoundrels? Sot 1: *** how will these guys gear there character with needing all that accuracy and power?????? WT 2 : Sloooowly  Dev manager: I told designer 1 to do that….. Any player who doesn’t stick the intended role should work extra hard to get those shiny BIS setups. SoT 1: But sir WE gave them 2 dps specs with the tank spec. Dev Manager: Remind me to take that up with design in the next meeting, it seems wrong. In a cantina area a long time ago at a studio far far away Community guy 1: Hay did you see the survey on our player base, seems these guys are all rocket scientists, doctors ect. Guess it’s true that they grew up with Star Wars Community guy 2: That can’t be right??? I overheard the devs speaking and they designed some of the new content expecting the players not to notice they were being taken for a ride???? Community Guy 1: Can we bring this to somebody’s attention before release?? PR Guy: Nope to late, release is going ahead. When they start noticing just pretend to not read those posts, and if anybody ask….endurance is the new black!!!!! In a TS channel a long time ago at a house far far away Rocket Scientist: Who the hell designs this game, all the mods are A class in the new tiers for comms. Even worse my Shadow token gear doesn’t have a single power/Accuracy combination and I need SEVEN, even the %$# off-hands have alacrity….seriously. Doctor: Do they really think there players are mentally disabled????? Ex WOW player: SWEET I have more health than the tank….who’s your daddy RS & Doc: OMG go back to that other game and take that sword with you…………
  11. To Further highlight my point I did a little analysis of BIS Gear Mix on Set pieces. Where Surge and Accuracy was available on a set piece I listed that above alacrity. The little table below shows enhancements that can be removed or swapped for instance on my Operative I need the chest/Mainhand piece 4 times to get the needed Accuracy mods in order to reach 100% as only implants have accuracy and not earpiece. -----------------------------------O---Sn--BH--M----A----So--Mar--J Accuracy Enhance------------2---3----2---- 2---- 2---- 2-----3----3 Alacrity Enhance--------------4--- 2----3----3----3-----2-----0----3 Surge Enhance----------------1---2----3---- 3---- 2---- 3---- 4---- 1 If you look at Marauder/Sents they have a great time of it and no issues in fact if you include implants they are BIS right of the bat. Operatives definitely has it the worst in terms of getting proper gear with Juggs a close second. Now while I fully agree we need to work for out BIS gear why does some classes have a easier time of getting the gear needed to be optimal while others will have to grind about 4 times harder?
  12. Hi Tait and Eric Now that the dev team has decided to keep the accuracy requirement high will class set gear, specifically Operative DPS and Bounty Hunter DPS, get a bit more Accuracy pieces rather than the current 4 out of 7 alacrity that currently exists?
  13. The system message that pops up on the arrival on a planet or stronghold doesn't fade away 100% of the time and leaves a kind of "ghost" image on the screen. It happens randomly with no clear pattern on transition.
  14. Dont know if this is working as intended but if you look at the patch notes the following is said "All Accuracy-increasing abilities have been removed. Accuracy Rating grants more Accuracy per point" Having to put 8 out of 10 mods in accuracy to get to 100/110 bonus does not seem correct unless the accuracy aspect of the game itself has changed that the chance of missing is calculated in some other way that does not get affected by a 97/107% rating
  15. How can one dev team be so disparate in the quality they deliver. Good ideas with just bad implementation. Conquest - Great idea being in a guild now actually has meaning other than a XP bonus and end game ops. Implementation - Go spam FP's and do WZ's - Lets invade Hoth but you don't have to set foot on Hoth just run FP's and WZ's all day and you win, oh and craft a few items to nuke a Commander on another planet that has no relation to my target which is Hoth.... What should have been done... 1. You have a massive amount of assets on each planet to tap from as a dev team 2. You have bolster that has been proven in the gree event, heck you have the blue print for conquest in the GREE EVENT, create a lvl 55 area with missions and pvp content all in one on each planet, want to invade Hoth go to Hoth and fight for it, PVE blow up installations in PVE area want to kill a commander get a team and go fight to down him, even better capture the flag, and keep it. Silly ideas maybe but at least better than spamming Black Talon Stronghold I absolutely love the strongholds, really keeps me engaged in wanting to do stuff to earn those decorations, seems my day isn't long enough now in all the stuffs I want to do. Implementation - Lovely looking strongholds even better looking stuff to put in it but wait.......its a wax museum or in this case a hologram museum. 1. Have you ever considered that being a raider I would like to test my gear on a spawn-able enemy, Tython's quest where you spawn the droids from Mk 1 to 5 great example of something I would want in my stronghold. 2. I'm building a fighting pit and want to invite guildies to test there mettle 3. I want to have a guild meeting in our flagship but we all need to stand because you cant sit down like you can on a startship. 4. I want to show of my Jedi legion or Havoc squad or bounty crew, go check a hologram near you. Give some life to our stronghold, they are just thousands of museums being created at the moment. When did bioware become all about the excuses and not about the solutions.
