  1. Not everyone is a fan of the Cartel Market, that is true. But there are players who don't mind it. If I save enough I can always find myself being able to purchase a thing here and there, especially if I get my hands on extra cash or a few people willing to accept my referral link or if a new month comes around with the 600CC grant. We know that BioWare enjoys making these time-only deals, but the thing is... most of these items simply appear out of nowhere and there's barely any explanation as to for how long they will be around. This complicates things for a lot of players because they won't be able to calculate exactly when the item might show up around the GTN or even see if they can find the right moment to either purchase CC or the item from the store itself. A game like Guild Wars 2 also did a lot of these one-time deals and they also provided a timer of sorts- Players could see just how much time left they had until the item poofed from the Store. And I honestly think SWTOR needs this. The Cartel Market is a huge income for BioWare and it's what's keeping the game alive nowadays. I don't think that leaving players hanging on a thread unsure if they have or don't have enough time to get an item is a rather unsafe method. I strongly believe that if players are given time to think about their purchase it'll benefit both parties. I just noticed that Shae Vizla's armor was put on the market... yet I find no mentions of it anywhere? It's not on the website, it's not on Twitter and it's not mentioned on facebook. Why would I even have to check outside sources to know about this? I am interested in this set, but I have no idea for how long it will be available. Considering its rarity and price it's rather obvious that it's a limited-time-only deal... but for how long?
  2. Why did I seriously expect anyone to answer...
  3. Character eyes have been having issues with their eyes for months and even though changes have been applied, there is still some ongoing issues with reflections and color. - When characters look surprised you can actually see their sclera. The white part of the eye is no longer white, it is now red and if you inspect the eye closely you can notice a variety of trees, lights and a terrain of sorts. This has been present in the game for years but it wasn't as intrusive as it is now. This is not how a human eye works - Dark brown is no longer present in the game. As an example for humans, 5 is a lighter brown that does have a chance to appear as pink under a few circumstances. 6 is a hazel color. The dark brown pattern, which is quite the common color in our world and Star Wars... is no longer available to any of the characters. - Other characters such as the Zabrak and Twi'lek are missing a few colors, such as a red. - Elderly NPCs' eyes and mouths no longer react as they should. Their lips don't move and their eye textures share the same pattern as their faces. You can actually see a mouth, a nose and two pairs of black holes in the character's eyes. This has been an issue since October and we've been kept out of the loop since December. Could any Staff Member please provide us any sort of update? I can no longer play as one of my characters because she just feels wrong....
  4. Dark brown still isn't back. I'm still waiting. And oh, the eyes are still glassy and look weird most of the time. I can see reflections of trees on my character's eyes when he/she is inside a ship!
  5. I'm not sure whether or not this will get hate or sink down to oblivion, but it's worth a shot. I'm currently working on a massive project that will go into detail comparing two of my favorite MMORPGs, Guild Wars 2 and Star Wars: The Old Republic. I was hoping to also add The Elder Scrolls Online but I haven't sunk as many hours as I have in that game yet and haven't even tried the expansion. I understand that people's views on things change, but I welcome any sort of opinion on the matter. I would like to ask for the community's opinion on the game in general. You could explore the following topics: - Gameplay modes: general PvE, PvP and additional modes such as Space Combat and others. - World: the writing, story progression, expansions and DLC, voice-acting, exploration, jumping puzzles, the maps, NPCs, AI, main cities and hubs, graphics and aesthetics, character customization, etc... - Mechanics: abilities and smoothness of the game, animation, classes, and specializations, etc. - Community: share your thoughts about the good and bad of the community; the possible experiences you might have gone through. - Premium Currency: elaborate if the cash shop and its premium currency(Cartel Coins) are intrusive or not; the usefulness of said paid items and how it impacts the game; - And other points that you might feel like it. I want to keep this comparison as solid as I can get without technically siding with one game over the other. Your opinion would prove to be most insightful. Please do try to keep things balanced; there is no need for fanboys or haters... unless you do bring up strong arguments. Thank you guys for your time! I shall be taking notes if possible.
  6. The Black Talon doesn't seem to be available on the Group Finder...
  7. I know that most people don't really care about Social Points, but I really like some of the items that you can unlock with them. Sadly, it takes a really long time to get to a certain level. A friend and I have been questing together like hell, using Social Boosts and even running Flashpoints and we're still nowhere near Level III. We know that the more people a party has, the bigger the social points are. That is true but we are unable to find anyone else who'd be willing to join us. This community is arguably quiet when it comes to group-content. Is there a way for us to get more social points? We really want an item that is sold by one of these vendors.
  8. So many complaints... If you despise the game so much, why still pay for it and play?
  9. Wasn't Nico in one of the novels? He also had his own showdown in a CGI trailer, so.

    Eyes

The new eyes still have major issues. This is not how eyes work... what were you thinking?
  11. Qyzen is my favorite Consular companion. Having shared a history with my Consular's master and being arguably different than most Trandoshians, I felt like his relationship with my character grew, just like Kira did with my Jedi Knight. I did not romance Kira since I played as a Female Knight, but their relationship together really gave me the idea that they truly cared for each other and were great friends. My Consular and Qyzen do disagree on certain terms, but they both end up nodding and respecting one another. Qyzen seems to hold the Consular in high regard, even when his/her decisions don't match up with his line of thinking. He doesn't like Wookies, yes... and there's time to put him in his place eventually. Most of the Wookies you encounter throughout Qyzen's story are a bit too forceful and grim. I also like the way he talks; it somehow gives away this naïveté attitude of his.
  12. My max was 50 million, and that was thanks to a deal I made with someone regarding a few items. Technically, all I made by myself was less than 10 million, perhaps. I don't really get why it was so hard for me to get by. I constantly do Flashpoints and Quests, and I have a big roster of character to go around. I do Heroics time to time, but I find them tiresome and would rather be doing Story Missions, a Flashpoint or even a few PvP matches. I know that once these 50 million run out I won't be able to keep up.
  13. When people talk about which story they dislike the most, usually these two come to mind. I wonder... why? I'm currently almost finished with Consular, and I quite like it. It's not as exciting as the Knight, but it provides us a different view of things. Diplomatic missions, betrayals, investigations and great dangers. The voice-acting isn't bad; the female counterpart really tries to provide a decent work. I actually found that contacting old Masters through Noetikons was quite interesting, and witnessing to new ways that the Force could be used to control and manipulate people. The Consular's story also explores the Emperor's Children, which was a topic that intrigued me when I was playing a Knight. In regards to the Trooper... I don't recall anything wrong with it. You're a loyal soldier to the Republic, and you make sure that you get things done. Some of the companions aren't as memorable and I do admit that some of the writing decisions feel a bit forced, but Chapter 1 and 3 were favorites of mine. I also liked how BioWare attempted to provide the player with a relationship outside of the companions system. We were also forced to make high moral decisions, such as saving Jaxo or agreeing with the Chancellor at the end. In my opinion, Inquisitor is one of the weakest in terms of story. I found myself having mixed feelings towards it. There were moments that were great... and then there were moments when they fell flat and meaningless. Playing as a Light-Side Inquisitor didn't help because the game doesn't technically provide too many good options for this story. I also found that the dialogue-wheel fooled me quite often here.
  14. It's been happening to me as well. I've tried to fix my launcher several times to see if it would go away, it didn't.
  15. From a story perspective, the Protagonist/Outlander is the Jedi Knight. It follows the same principles of the KOTOR games, had an entire novel to back it up, is used for marketing purposes and had the biggest impact when it came to the main expansions.
  16. Some people enjoy the combat, others don't. It took me a while to get used to it, but I don't mind it now. I kinda like it, actually. If you think BioWare is going to give their combat system a complete overhaul, you're delusional. Regardless, why are you here then? If you only come back once a year, why complain about the game? You seem to respond negatively to every single comment posted here. If you despise the game so much, make us a favor and just leave for good. Also, why have a dumb meme that tries to force like SWTOR is ripping off WoW? Seriously? Just go, you're not welcome here.
  17. The sheer number of people who haven't completed a class story or have spent years doing them is... rather concerning. Each class story has around 8 hours worth of cutscenes. In other words, it's just like a singleplayer experience. It makes me feel like these people have never finished a regular game... I just find it baffling. If you're not playing for the story and characters... then what's the point?... It also baffles me how some people can only stick to one faction... I don't see how that works since each Class Story has its ups and downs. It takes me usually a week or two to properly complete a Class Story if I place a big focus on it. Or just a few days if I take it seriously. I'm almost finishing up the Sage; everything else has been finished.
  18. So, yeah. This is an issue that has been going for a long time now. For more than two months, I believe. Apparently, some elder NPCs use textures and eye textures different from the players; just like the Children NPCs. After the whole sparkly nd wrong-colors issues were fixed... I just believed like these NPCs wouldn't have the same issues... and while doing a few quests on Korriban I noticed this serious problem. Elderly NPCs have their eyeballs replaced by their own facial textures. This is freaking me and other players out, and it should not be here. Please, could someone look into this?

    Eyes

Honestly, it would be best rid of the hazel eye color(number 6 for Humans). Then you could add it as a brand-new color and allow players to temporarily switch eye color free of charge or make it ridiculously cheap. I'm sure many players would appreciate it. Thank you for taking your time and other developers into looking at this issue. Our characters really mean a lot to us.
  20. There are two more outfits from the movies available in-game.
  21. Even though I'm not an huge fan of The Force Awakens and The Last Jedi, I really like the new planets they've brought. Their aesthetics are quite nice to look at. Personally, I would love to see Jedha. Investigate more about kyber crystals and the Force. It would be nice to learn more about monks who trust in the Force while at the same time aren't exactly part of the Jedi Order. Ooooor... anything related to the planet that was a thing back during the Old Republic era.
  22. Oh my god... I have the exact same issue. Can't get rid of him.
